Hi everyone,

Setting up the new thread for us - we have come a long way since January and sadly a few of us are still on the "journey". Let's hope we arent here for much longer. Wishing us all baby dust (although its been so long I am not sure dust will do it for me - maybe will have to up the particle size to "baby sand" )

@27DONFIN
I have lost interest in Christmas 😪😪😪😪😪 I should have a 1 and a half year old or a six month old or be pregnant the last 3 years I should of been pregnant at Christmas and looking forward to the following Christmas with a baby so your deffo not on your own on not enjoying Christmas hoping us ladies all have a bundle next year to enjoy the Christmas period 🤞🙏🍀💚

Annny27 · 01/12/2020 09:49

@27DONFIN sorry thats AF arrived! Sometimes I cry a lot and sometimes I surprise myself when she arrives.

I feel the same about Christmas as its a time to reflect on the previous year which isn't great when you have had a miscarriage or going through infertility haha! In my early - mid 20s each year was like yayy we graduated, yayy we moved in, yayy we bought a house, yayy we got engaged.

And now its stagnant waiting for our little rainbow 🌈 😪

@Babyghirl yeah it will be nice for you to get back into a routine and stuff ☺

@Annny27 yeah I’m 33 and that’s worrying me time isn’t on my side. My partner keeps saying leave it to him he’ll sort out his sperm test but the forms and tub are in a drawer snd have been for a month now. I can’t face arguing over it I understand he’s worried but I’d rather just know so we can move forward. Just ordered a fresh lot of men and women’s pregncare not bothered with it for a few months now.

@Babyghirl yeah this would of been our first Christmas with our baby they’d of been 9 months. It’s so hard not to think of them snd what could of been x

Babyghirl · 01/12/2020 10:55

@27DONFIN
You still have time Im 37 so I'm in a rush lol but I know someone who thought they where going through the menapause at 47 and she was pregnant had a wee boy xx

27DONFIN · 01/12/2020 11:25

@Babyghirl I just worry I’m not mentally strong enough to keep trying and I feel lockdown life is actually helping to an extent. My office I go in daily due to my roll but the majority work from home so I’m spared interacting with all the girls who had babies this year also friends as we can’t see them much I’m avoiding all the emotions that comes with that. When snd if things go back to normal I think I will struggle anyone else feeling this way? X

Dogloverxo · 01/12/2020 11:28

Hi there I was looking for some advice, I stopped the pill end of last month so October. Started bleeding on the 25th for about 4/5 days and I have a regular cycle between 28-32 days and I’ve missed my period. My period tracker app says I’m 4 days late but I’ve taken a few tests and all negative, can anyone help?

Babyghirl · 01/12/2020 11:43

@27DONFIN
That's why I have been putting off going bck to work even though it's only my best mate and boss who knew I was pregnant and no one else I still feel embarrassed and like a failure 😪😪😪😪😪
@dogloverxo
Can take a while for your cycle to go in to sync after coming off the pill. Can take a few months to even ovulate for some people so if you ovulate late in ur cycle your periods will be late to. Happened to me when I came off the pill x

Dogloverxo · 01/12/2020 11:45

I thought it was that but really want to be pregnant, I’ve had mild cramps and lower back pain for a week now so really thought I was pregnant. What type of pill were you on? @Babyghirl

Babyghirl · 01/12/2020 11:54

@dogloverxo
I was on the pill you take a break for a week then on the mini pill but been trying for my 1st baby now for 3 years and have had 3 miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy so proving hard.

27DONFIN · 01/12/2020 11:55

@Dogloverxo I had a copper coil so once that was removed my cycle stayed the same as I didn’t have any hormones from contraception in my system. I know they say to give it up to 6 months for the pill and other hormonal contraceptions to be totally out your system snd your cycle to settle. However I do know a lot of people who fell pregnant first month or two coming off the pill

27DONFIN · 01/12/2020 11:58

@Babyghirl you are not a failure this is out of your control. You can’t fail at something if you are unable to control it which I know is what makes it so difficult x

Dogloverxo · 01/12/2020 11:58

So sorry to hear that, keep trying though I know you will fall eventually! Wish you the best of luck! @Babyghirl

Just want to know what’s going on as it is so annoying and did get my hopes up a bit, I know someone who fell within the first month of stopping as well so kinda made me think I was but not sure :( thank you @27DONFIN

Babyghirl · 01/12/2020 11:59

@dogloverxo
All the symptoms your feeling can be pregnancy related but cause ur just off the pill it will take a while for you to get used to what your period symptoms r to cause the pill kind off blocks all that out. But good luck on the ttc journey and please don't let yourself get to obsessed cause it really does take over your life just try and relax it's true when people say relax it will happen cause the 3 times I fell I give up charting and everything else and just enjoyed being with dp and that's the months I fell pregnant.

Dogloverxo · 01/12/2020 12:02

Thank you so much! @27DONFIN

Babyghirl · 01/12/2020 12:10

@27DONFIN
My partner and mum tell me I'm not but I just think I was born to do wat a woman should be doing and my body fails me everytime, just wish the world would stop being cruel to us and give us r happy ending us ladies have been through enough so we deserve abit off luck 🍀💚

Nuggetlover27 · 02/12/2020 08:06

@Annny27 sorry that your oh has the same issue. I've been trying to do some research but haven't been finding much. Have you managed to find anything that's supposed to help with the morphology? I'm glad the other 2 came back good levels and hoping that means we will be able to conceive naturally.

@27DONFIN sorry AF arrived for you 💐 sounds like you're staying strong. sometimes I manage to keep it together and end up having a breakdown a couple of days later haha

27DONFIN · 02/12/2020 09:03

@Nuggetlover27 usually I’m before but as yet still ok hopefully no tears this month. How are you getting on?

OH sperm sample is booked 23rd December a while away but it’s his next day off snd our hospital only has 4 time slots to hand them in starting at 915 🙄 fingers crossed this one happens

ELM7 · 02/12/2020 09:58

Morning Ladies

I really dont want to be that annoying person (like the just relax and it will happen people) but DH got his SA results yesterday and he also has Morphology issues.

As we are all proving it takes time - was 7mths to conceive the first time and 13mth since the MC for us but (here comes the cliche im sorry 😞) it only takes one.

Annny27 · 02/12/2020 10:08

@ELM7 ahh thats made my smile that you still conceived !! Totally not annoying you have given me hope :D

@Nuggetlover27 well we know it can happen because I conceived within 4 months last time! So his weird shaped sperm need to let the normal sperm go to the front and hopefully one will meet my egg haha!

@27DONFIN totally its just another realisation and When you are ready to be a mum its gutting when it doesn't happen :(

Good job your OH has booked his analysis :)

@babyghirl did your DH have any sperm issues?

OP posts:
Nuggetlover27 · 02/12/2020 10:19

@27DONFIN glad your OH got his SA booked in. Ours was the same had to wait for a day off and when we booked it the date felt like ages away but it came around so quickly. It'll be here before you know it 🙂 I'm actually doing okay this month. Really really trying to stay positive and see if it helps anything currently in my TWW so we will soon see. Although I can't stop "symptom spotting" 😂

@ELM7 that's so reassuring to hear! Thank you for telling us that. I really hope it's the same for us. The Dr said be patient but it's hard! Haha. We conceived the second month after trying last year and now onto month 13 after MC.

@Annny27 haha yes! Those "normal" shaped ones need to fight! Haha. I feel like this might be our month 🤞🏻🤞🏻 hoping for a Christmas Miracle. have you ov yet?

ELM7 · 02/12/2020 10:23

Ahh good @Annny27 I’m glad it made you smile as I know how annoying those type of cliche posts can be.

Love your thought on the weird shape sperm letting the normal sperm go in front. It’s like the opening scenes of the film Look Who’s talking (really hope I’m not just showing my age 😂) x

Babyghirl · 02/12/2020 10:31

@Annny27
Nope is was all fine when he had the test done, I'm kinda hoping when I get tests done they find something that can be fix xx

27DONFIN · 02/12/2020 11:33

Yeah I just want his tests done so we can move on to further tests with me as so far it’s just been bloods to check I’m ovulating which I knew I was. My cousin and her husband had there sample the other week had results with a week and then rebooked him back in for two weeks later for a second sample as the shape wasn’t great they’re just waiting on results. Was glad to hear our hospital were quick to follow up with it all

SunnySideUp2020 · 02/12/2020 15:35

@ELM7 @Annny27 @Nuggetlover27
As i said to Anny before DH has the same issue as your DPs with 3% morphology and not an outstanding count just normal and below average motility.
And we too managed to conceive. (And conceived first go first time which was the MC).

There is definitely hope and morphology is still not proven to be causing issues really. It does take longer maybe...
At my clinic they offered to do insemination with icsi instead of ivf. They just select the good soldiers to inseminate.

Also i would recommend a visit to urologist if it's not done automatically. They should get an ultrasound of their parts and all.

I know how it feels because we have been there and it's kinda depressing but don't lose hope. For us it was recommended to have sex every other day instead of daily during fertile window.
