Hi everyone,

Setting up the new thread for us - we have come a long way since January and sadly a few of us are still on the "journey". Let's hope we arent here for much longer. Wishing us all baby dust (although its been so long I am not sure dust will do it for me - maybe will have to up the particle size to "baby sand" )

Ttc ladies:

@Nuggetlover27
@ELM7
@Ljm0101
@Abi0795
@Babyghirl

And our recent bfps who i know like to check in :)

@Fizzl @Annny27 you can have your smear test being pregnant. In fact i would recommend!

I have colposcopy on 5th when i should be 14 weeks. That's because my smear i got done the cycle i got pregnant in November (day before ovulation) was abnormal and in march i had biopsy with CIN1 and another smear which shows higher abnormal cells than in November.

Anyway, point is, don't delay it! Better to have it done asap!!!

SunnySideUp2020 · 22/09/2020 13:22

Just to mention that before i always had normal smears.

Fizzl · 22/09/2020 13:32

@SunnySideUp2020 ah I'm sorry you've got the added worry of that alongside your pregnancy. I've been doing some reading and in the UK it looks like they generally don't do smear tests whilst your pregnant and ask you to wait until 3months after the birth. Something to do with risk of results being inaccurate, not because of any risk to the pregnancy. But I think I'd rather them do it and hope that all comes back fine so I don't have to worry about it. I suppose I'll just have to cross that bridge when/if I get to it!

Annny27 · 22/09/2020 14:22

Could I get your advice everyone? :D cd5 so a bit away from this yet but i am getting my 7dpo progesterone blood tests this month. I have never had my base level progesterone taken so I am thinking that I won't take my progesteron this month so I can see the impact of not taking it and then we can see whether I need it or not - would you also do that?

@sunnysideup2020 hopefully everything goes well for you with the procedure!

@Annny27
Thank you very much can't wait to hear your God news soon 🍀💚🍀💚
How weird I have just had a call from the fertility clinic and my consultant is phoning us tomara morning at ten o'clock with r results I'm going to tell him I'm pregnant but still want to be going ahead with things just incase as I'm still very early on. I still want to be kept on his books just incase hoping he helps me and asks me over to the clinic for some bloods or something.

Fizzl · 23/09/2020 08:51

@Annny27 good question about your bloods. Could you check with your doctor/consultant who's doing the bloods to see what they think? I think it seems wise to stop so it gives you an accurate picture but the experts might think otherwise!

@Babyghirl that also seems wise to keep your appointment with them today.

I've tried to see if there are any walk in centres that offer cervical screening and not having much joy! I've rang a couple of more private clinics and the cheapest place is still £250 😱. I'm going to try one more nhs sexual health clinic (which seems to mainly offer appointments to teens!) and see if they can offer anything. If not, looks like I either wait until next month if not pregnant or I have to wait a year if I am. Something else for me to inevitably worry about 😑

Babyghirl · 23/09/2020 09:05

@fizzl
The call is at ten so will c what is said. Hoping they still keep me on the system as I'm only 5 weeks tomara and I don't knw how it's going to go. I'm praying with everything 3rd time lucky. 💚🍀

Nuggetlover27 · 23/09/2020 09:20

@SunnySideUp2020 your "sample" story had me in stitches 😂 the things we do! 😂

We've all got our fingers crossed for you @Babyghirl hoping this is your 🌈 ❤️

@Fizzl I have also only had 1 cervical screening. Was so nervous and ended up putting it off until last year and had it when I was TTC to make sure all was okay. I had it in September (the month I conceived) and I know it's probably not at all related and even the nurse who done my cervical screening said that it would "help my chances of getting pregnant" I will always wonder if that was related to my loss. (I guess kinda like you and your little alcohol you had)
It's the not knowing why you miscarried is one of the worse things for me. Because if I knew why then I could avoid it but as I don't I second guess everything I done in those months. :/
If I was you I would try and get it early if you can then that's 1 less thing to worry about 😊

@Annny27 It makes sense to stop taking I think. Like you said then they can get an actual picture of your hormones without the tablets 😊 but has your gp or the hospital not told you how to prepare for the testing?

scrumdiddly123 · 23/09/2020 10:11

Just seen your bfp @Babyghirl congratulations! So pleased for you 💖💖

Fizzl · 23/09/2020 12:23

@Babyghirl how did you get on?

@Nuggetlover27 it's really hard. I was constantly reassured that the most likely explanation was chromosomal issues and nothing I did/didn't do would have caused it but you can't help but second guess. I've tried everywhere I can think of locally now to get it done a month earlier and I either pay £££ or been told only GP can offer this and they won't do it until end of oct. Strangely I'm not worried about it causing miscarriage, apparently a lot of countries it's offered as standard in early pregnancy to make sure everything is ok - I'm worried about it being a year overdue by the time I get round to having it if I was lucky enough to fall pregnant this month. I'm sure it will be fine and I'll probably forget all about it or I won't fall this month anyway, but my mind loves to worry!

Annny27 · 23/09/2020 14:02

Afternoon :) my DH had his SA analysis today so should get the results in a week or so they said! He said he had to go into the room, deposit his sample(👀 😂) and then put it into a hatch and press a buzzer and then the lab is on the other side and they take the sample to start the analysis. He said there was a sleezy magazine in the room 😂😂

@Nuggetlover27 I called the GP today and they said no progesterone supplements this month so that they can give me an accurate view of my base levels. Quite happy not to insert them twice a day from ovulation ;p

@fizzl ahh thats so frustrating - is it worth calling the GP and say you sre ttc and that you wsnt a smear this cycle to avoid any unnecessary waiting?

@babyghirl hope all went well today xx

@sunnysideup2020 saw on the other thread that your 12 week scan went well. So pleased for you 💗💗

OP posts:
Babyghirl · 23/09/2020 15:32

@Annny27
Everything came back normal but he is keeping us on the system for a while anywhy and said if we needed anything just to get the doc to email him and he will get back ASAP.
When my oh was going to give his sample I went with him and helped him 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 but there was sleazy mags and pics in a box for him to lol. He would off been there alday if I didn't lol xx

Fizzl · 23/09/2020 16:01

@Annny27 a sleazy magazine 😂 I mean really could it get any less romantic. People have these ideas about how trying for a baby is going to be fun and romantic when the reality is you end up in a hospital room (or public toilet 😂) with a sleazy magazine before pressing a buzzer to deliver your deposit to someone to analyse! It's all really quite hilarious.

@Babyghirl glad everything has come back normal. I really don't think I could bring myself to 'help' my husband in that situation! I wouldn't be able to do anything but laugh and probably make things 10x worse for him 😂😂

@Annny27 I did explain when I spoke to the surgery yesterday that we were ttc but the earliest appointment they could offer was firstly the week af is due mid oct and then the end of oct (which is what I've booked). I asked if I could come next week and she said no because 1 it was too early and 2 they didn't have any appointments next week anyway so either way the answer was 'no' 😑

@SunnySideUp2020 that's great news about your scan! Must be a huge relief

Babyghirl · 23/09/2020 16:22

@fizzl
I laughed when I seen what was in the room but we where only there for 5 mins or so but to think they send r partners in to a room with dirty mags like teenagers is funny 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

SunnySideUp2020 · 23/09/2020 17:05

@Annny27 @Fizzl massive massive relief.
I was so nervous in the car going i literally asked dp to be silent so i could do breathing exercises as i was almost hyperventilating.
After i just felt so happy and light.

Glad the public toilet made you laugh!!!

Your dp was lucky to access this room. We did our tests in the midst of covid so the room Thing was closed!!!

Annny27 · 24/09/2020 13:44

Afternoon girls :D

@Babyghirl thats hilarious that you helped him haha! It specifically said only the person giving the sample was allowed, I guess because of covid now haha! Thats good that they are keeping you on the records:)

@fizzl I know, everything about ttc sex is unromantic. If he wants to go in a different position I am like NO that could cause leakage 😂😂

Ahh thats quite stressful that there's none untill next month. Its catch 22, you wsnt to be pregnant next month but stleast if you don't fall, you can get your smear done no issues:)

@SunnySideUp2020 yep I imagine its super strsssful!!! When are you getting the boy/girl results back? :D

OP posts:
Babyghirl · 24/09/2020 13:58

@Annny27
I was kissing the neck and that to help him along 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 was holding the laugh in at the same time lol, feeling very anxious and that constant knicker checking. We pray to get pregnant again but my god when we do it's the worse time ever xx

SunnySideUp2020 · 24/09/2020 14:09

@Annny27 in 10 days normally. Or before!
12w combined screening just came back and it's the lowest possible. So very pleased!
I do think it's a girl though 😄

Fizzl · 24/09/2020 15:20

@SunnySideUp2020 ah I can imagine how nervous you were! It's awful how all the fun and excitement has been sucked out of these experiences for us! That's great news about your results too! Another huge relief for you. Let us know when you find out gender 😁 I love a gender reveal.

@Annny27 I've stopped stressing about it now, I've resigned myself that it's out of my control and some googling has actually reassured me (for once!) that because I was hpv negative the intervals can actually be 5 years as risk is deemed low just the uk chose to keep testing every 3. So I'm kind of ok about it now and I'm not getting my hopes up about any possible pregnancy so I'll probably be able to go in oct anyway!

Another questions for you all (there's always something with me 😂) my temps have stays quite high since af arrived. I skipped a few days at the start of af just because I cba but my readings for the past 3 days have been around 36.7 when normally I'm well below 36.4 at this part of my cycle. Any idea what that's about? 36.7 is normal post ov but on CD8 it's a bit strange. My cheeks feel quite flush as well - I'm wondering if I'm coming down with something but don't feel particularly ill? Any thoughts? 🤔

Babyghirl · 24/09/2020 16:11

@fizzl
Have you put a heavier devut on the bed or had the heat on over nite as its getting colder or thicker pj's that could cause your temp to be so so high. But last month I relaxed did not take my temp and cut the stress out dtd when we felt like it and it worked for us I know yous girls will get there soon. 🍀💚🍀💚

Annny27 · 25/09/2020 12:59

Afternoon :D

@fizzl mmm hopefully its not the start of covid!! I am the same, when I temped mine would go down either the day of AF or the day after. I'd be tempted to do a pregnancy test tbh just to rule it out

@Babyghirl I am going to try to relax but my mind knows when I am ovulating so its hard for me not to haha

@sunnysideup2020 glad that your screening stuff came back okay :D and yes please let us know the gender!! Before my miscarriage i reaaaaaally wanted a girl but honestly after ttc for so long I will be so happy with a boy or a girl :D

OP posts:
Fizzl · 25/09/2020 17:05

@Babyghirl no nothing has changed so who knows, maybe just a blip.

@Annny27 I know I did think the same! But no cough and It has come down today to just over 36.4 so still a bit higher than norm but I don't feel as hot and flush today so hopefully my body was just fighting something off maybe?! I also really really doubt I'm pregnant - AF wasn't any lighter and lasted a good 3 days and then spotting for another 3 days. I had negative tests up to 12dpo when af arrived.

Heading into FW already. Even my husband said to me this morning 'so when does our schedule restart' 😂 I'm actually slightly mortified that it's come to this. I also want to relax but the more I try to relax the more I get stressed about not relaxing 😂 vicious circle!

Nuggetlover27 · 26/09/2020 08:19

Morning ladies.
Think today is going to be one of those days for me. I'm so so so so so angry and fed up with this TTC journey.
Not getting pregnant sucks!!!!
And science isn't on my side either, how am I supposed to be able to track my cycle and conceive if my BTT and OPKs look like this?! I follow the instructions and really don't know what I'm doing wrong! 😭😭😭😭

Any advice would be appreciated. I'm at the end of my tether 😢

(Haven't POAS yet this morning, blue line is my BTT and red is my OPKs)

@nuggetlover27
Sorry your body is not playing ball with you. That's why I took out the temping and everything else was stressing me out could you try for a month or 2 take all that out off ttc and just go with the flow to destress yourself, I hated when people said to me relax it will happen but I should off listened to them sooner 11 months in I decided to just go with the flow and boom it happened 🍀🍀🍀🍀
