Hi everyone,

Setting up the new thread for us - we have come a long way since January and sadly a few of us are still on the "journey". Let's hope we arent here for much longer. Wishing us all baby dust (although its been so long I am not sure dust will do it for me - maybe will have to up the particle size to "baby sand" )

Ttc ladies:
@Fizzl
@Nuggetlover27
@ELM7
@Ljm0101
@Abi0795
@Babyghirl

And our recent bfps who i know like to check in :)

@Fizzl honestly i found all these months i restricted myself not drinking not doing any extreme activities etc in the tww and literally it's when i relaxed about it all that we conceived. I had ciders (that's the only thing i like to drink), went water skiing and climbing and jumping off cliffs, swimming in open water, i mean i wouldn't even go for a run before in tww 😅
And ofc wouldn't touch alcohol.

Obviously if you aren't comfortable with it, it's different, but just letting go and hoping for the best was definitely positive for us. We did our job in fertile week and then for the first time in 7 months lived our lives.
I am not saying you should get wasted on your time away haha but perhaps having what you'd normally have, and keeping the pregnancy talks away would be good?

Annny27 · 20/09/2020 10:34

Its a year since we got out bfp! Its crazy to think how much heartbreak the last year has brought from that moment!

Is it bad that I literally don't have any desire to have sex anymore? Makes me feel quite sad tbh and I hope that when we do fall pregnantand have our baby that we can get that element of our life back! But honestly it doesn't even cross my mind unless it's during fertile week 😬😬😬😬

@Babyghirl did you take your digital yet? :D

@fizzl that's really promissing about your progesterone! One less thing to worry about in the tww then :D

I kinda agree with @SunnySideUp2020 in that just try and live life like normal. We don't really drink anymore (was never big drinkers anyway) but I will allow myself to eat pate or blue cheese in the tww for example haha!

@Leok83 never again will I dtd everyday 🤣🤣

@Annny27
Decided not to I read a lot off stories on them and even midwifes want them taken off the shelves. They can give wrong weeks when people know hw far along they r and causes unnecessary stress lol. I'm just living for the moment taking everyday as it comes and all I can do is pray that my rainbow baby will be with me in 8 months. Hoping to get an app with the epu for bot 3 weeks time I'm on knicker watch 24 7 thou lol. How r you doing xxx

Annny27 · 20/09/2020 11:28

@babyghirl good for you for protecting your anxiety by not doing it :) i think that's really wise! Next time I am pregnant I will try not to panic and Google and also not take loads of pregnancy tests! Because my baby had stopped growing weeks earlier and I was still getting super strong pregnancy tests so it means nothing to me now!

Yeah I am okay - waiting for period to end and fertile week to start :p

@Annny27
Only done one test and that was the one I found out with I don't want to stress over lines nt getting darker or that. And like u my tests where still coming up positive when I was miscarriaging to. I really think taking out taking my temp every morning really helped me relax and just going with the flow. You will get that positive soon along with everybody else on the thread could not have got through the last couple off months without you ladies support 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

LookingforPositive · 20/09/2020 16:28

Hi ladies, I guess I'm joining the crew :)

5 weeks ago, had a MMC at 8 weeks along. No AF yet, and we've been trying since 2 weeks after the procedure. We're not even sure if there was ovulation this month, which is hard, but still trying. So far, just BFNs all over the place.

We've also had two HCG blood tests since the MMC. 2 weeks after the D&C, HCG was down to 15 (from 50k pre procedure). But a second blood test on this Wednesday had it still at 3 HCG. Any ideas what this means? Does it really need to get down to zero before ovulation/AF, and any idea why it might have plummeted down to 15 but then stopped?

Annny27 · 20/09/2020 17:21

@Babyghirl definitely please stick around as you have been such a positive influence on us all 💗💗

@LookingforPositive sorry you also find yourself here! I ovulated before my HCG went down to 0 - I can't remember the exact figure but I think it was around 8! Mine was quite slow to go down too

@lookingforpositive
Welcome to a group no one wants to be in you will find peace and support from these bunch off ladies, God knws they have helped me so much over the last couple off months. 🍀💚

Nuggetlover27 · 21/09/2020 07:44

@Fizzl a week away in TWW sounds like a good idea. Will hopefully take good mind off it all and make it go quicker. You made a good choice mentioning something to them I think. Then you don't have to stress about them thinking you're pregnant and adding pressure. Alternatively if you didn't wanna say anything to them you could say your on antibiotics for a water infection or something? Then you can't mix alcohol with the medicine?
Also how weird that my AF was due on the exact same day I got it last year when I got pregnant. I was worried about that. Wondering if it was a bad omen or a good one (yes I'm nuts 😂) but in the end came on 2 days later. So if I succeed this cycle I'll be pretty close to the same due date

Annny27 · 21/09/2020 12:24

My DH called the GP about tests for him and he is getting some sperm analysis soon so thats one more thing ticked off! :D hopefully the testing date doesn't interfere with ovulation but I was thinking of telling them sorry he is working on that day if they do give us a date thats in fertile week!

@Babyghirl yes I reaaaally hope we all have some good news to share with you soon!!! :D

@Nuggetlover27 are you still a bit away from ovulation?

@Annny27
Glad things r moving forward for yous, I just got an app for the epu for the 8th of October at 08.10, I'm on knicker watch all day long lol but I'm more relaxed I have the bad taste in my month on and off to. Been asleep by 8 tge last 2 nites 🙈🙈🙈🙈 and lying in bed nw relaxing with dinner cooking away told my better half if I could lie here the next 8 weeks I would lol 💚💚💚

Babyghirl · 21/09/2020 13:02

@Annny27
When we where getting a date for my dp to give a sample they give us a few dates and times to choose from hopefully they do the same to u to.

Annny27 · 21/09/2020 13:59

@babyghirl Typical husband without considering anything proudly told me he had booked his sample for next week...... on cd14 with 2 days abstinence before haha.

Politely told him no 🤣 so he has called back and his sample is on Wednesday this week now which is cd6 for me :D phew! Men don't think sometimes do they 🤣🤣

Men don't think sometimes 😂😂😂 I mean who am I kidding they don't think At all. Yea when I was on the fone to the epu and talking to a midwife she told me they don't like to scan to abot 7 weeks as anything before that might be to early. Suppose they will prop do blood work and all that as well just hoping I get to the app and 3rd time is my lucky charm 🍀💚🍀💚

Nuggetlover27 · 22/09/2020 08:35

Morning ladies.
Hope you're all okay today 😊

@Annny27 yeah still waiting for ov. Recon it'll be next Thursday. OPKs very low atm but also have some cm so perhaps it's ov is on its way early?

Fizzl · 22/09/2020 10:19

@SunnySideUp2020 I think I do need to relax a little. I find myself really torn with alcohol as last year I did have a couple of drinks here and there in my tww (only like 1 weak gin or a splash of wine mixed with soda) and I always wondered if that played a part. Realistically I really really doubt it did but I can't shake that worry and if the worse was to happen again I don't want to kick myself and think 'what if' so I just can't bring myself to have a drink as it's not worth the anxiety it would cause.

@LookingforPositive sorry you're here with us 💐I ovulated when I still had hcg in my system. In fact I think my period arrived a few days after a blood test confirmed I still had a tiny amount of hcg in my system so definitely possible. My period arrived just over a month after my surgery so that last bit of hcg definitely stuck around for a loooong time.

@Nuggetlover27 I don't think the antibiotics story would wash with them 😂 I think they'd twig straight away and then think I was pregnant! We're now waiting to see what today's announcement from Boris brings anyway - holiday may well be cancelled and then we don't need to say anything to them anyway 🙄. I know, I'm not sure how I feel about af arriving the same day as last year. Part of me is thinking it's fate, it's meant to be (absolutely ridiculous when it's literally pot luck!).

@Annny27 that's good your husband is getting tests. My husbands gp was great and has sorted test for him straight away - he collected his sample pot the same day but when he phoned the hospital to book a a lot to 'deliver' it to them they haven't got anything until end of October. We've had a good giggle about how he has to transport his 'delivery' to them - the instructions are hilarious!

Annny27 · 22/09/2020 10:22

@fizzl we live close to an hour away from this particular clinic (the one closest to us had appointments far away) so my husband has to "deposit" his sample there 😂😂 not sure how he feels about it haha

@Babyghirl yes definitley 3rd time lucky! We are all rooting for this little one :D

@Nuggetlover27 might be on its way early, I always love an early ovulation haha!

OP posts:
SunnySideUp2020 · 22/09/2020 10:50

@Fizzl i understand the dilemma.
I am sure it didn't have anything to do with your loss lovely x
But i totally get the anxiety.

We also laughed a while when DP had to do his samples. Because we live over an hour from the lab and the sample had to be fresh so he had to go into a mall' toilet nearby the lab to "collect" while i wait in the car and then bring it fast to the lab against skin to get body temperature. So his pot was in my bra for the car ride and honestly it was sad and funny at the same time 🤣🤣
@Annny27 good luck to yours!! Mine found the thing horrendous!!!

Fizzl · 22/09/2020 12:16

@Annny27 ah we live pretty close to our local hospital so my husband can at least produce the goods in the comfort of our own home 😂😂 but like @SunnySideUp2020 we've already had a good laugh about how to keep the pot warm! Once it's in the pot I feel like it will be like a comedy sketch and we'll start flapping because we've got to go asap 😂😂 oh the things we do! Let's just hope we don't accidentally spill it or something daft like that.

I'm sorry but visions of men in public toilets producing a sample is just hilarious 😂 poor men - although I have little sympathy given everything else we have to go through - the least they can do is produce a sample regardless of their environment 😂😂

Annny27 · 22/09/2020 12:32

Totallt agree - My sympathy levels are pretty low given how many times my vagina has been prodded with a transvaginal ultrasound :p @fizzl @SunnySideUp2020 😂

@Annny27 I feel like I lost my dignity a long time ago!

A question for you ladies - my smear test is due nov. I've tried to book it in early this month so it's done and out the way for 3 years but the earliest they could offer me is late Oct which will fall in the middle of my next cycle so timing wise is fine - so long as I'm not pregnant. My worry is if I do fall pregnant this cycle, this will have to be cancelled and my smear will be a year over due by the time I can have it done which is worrying me slightly. I've considered going private to just get it over and done with now but the cost is over £300 which I'm not really prepared to pay for the sake of saving a few weeks. Will they do a smear when you're pregnant?! From what I've read they don't but I'd worry about leaving it a year....

Annny27 · 22/09/2020 12:44

Mmmmm yeah I dont think they do them on pregnant women

I have only had one (didnt have one till 27.....I know I know 🙈 I should have got one sooner) But I had mine done at a drop in family planning session at my local gp. Does anywhere near you offer something like that? Basically no appointments and I just turned up on the day and sat in the queue (was about an hour wait) - not sure if covid will prevent anything like that
