Hi everyone,
Could I please join this thread? I'm 35 and have been trying to conceive for 8 cycles now. I had (naively/optimistically) expected it to be easier than this! I've been using opks since the outset and thought I had a good handle on my cycles which are pretty regular 27/28 days with ovulation around days 10/11/12. But last month I started tracking bbt and this month realised (due to the bbt data) that I had a double LH surge so "real" ovulation probably wasn't until today - day 15. Now I feel like I'm back to square one, not knowing what's going on or if we've been mistiming ttc. Has anyone had any experience with double LH surges? I had the first surge (confirmed by clearblue digital smileys and cheapie opks) at day 9/10 then the second (again confirmed by clearblue digital smileys and cheapie opks) at day 14/15. Pretty sure this second one is the "real" ovulation as the lines on the cheapies are much darker than previous positive. So perhaps the first was a failed attempt? Does anyone have any experience with this?
Also @mouldygrapes I've been having the same problem with Femometer - it'll take the photo and intelligently assess it but then the photo disappears and can only be saved with a manual log.

Can't help with the double surge but femometer have fixed the issue now, you need to update the app 😁

I'm 7dpo today and my boobs are so sore 😩😩 feel really heavy and even the duvet resting on them is annoying me

LT103 · 02/08/2020 09:07

My temp dropped right down this morning so I reckon af is coming!! Next time

FridaKFangirl · 02/08/2020 09:07

That sounds promising @claireb707!

I’ve just been googling ‘can you ever be pregnant without sore breasts’! 🤣 I’m 9 DPO I’ve had a bit of nausea and light cramping plus some stabby pains down below... but boobs, totally fine! AF not due until next weekend... I’m not convinced sadly...

I’m shaking like a leaf...
Was certain AF was in the way and yet it was CD 34 which even for me is long...
There are two pink lines right, and this was not even from first thing!!!

surreychick · 02/08/2020 10:16

Morning!

Just joining the thread and mumsnet - been trying to conceive for around 6 months now.

This month I’ve had a lot of nausea but I’m too scared to do a test incase it’s negative so trying to wait until AF arrives - does anyone else get like this?

surreychick · 02/08/2020 10:17

I see two lines!

surreychick · 02/08/2020 10:18

I’m the same - boobs totally fine! Fingers crossed for us both!

Rumi1 · 02/08/2020 10:28

@Wavesandsmilesagain morning my lovely - yep I can see 2 lines hope it's sticky bean

Why cycle were you on ?

Congrats

Rumi1 · 02/08/2020 10:34

*what cycle ?

Sorry typo

Wavesandsmilesagain · 02/08/2020 10:38

@Rumi1 this was cycle 6, and the one where I guessed at a fertile window and we DTD 36 times across about 14 days 😬

@FridaKFangirl and @surreychick thanks for the two line validation!

Still shaking and DP at football now then out to lunch so won’t see him until this evening (he’s french, in France and lunch culture there is longer than in Uk). Keeping all my fingers crossed whilst also having OMG moments about (hopefully) having a baby as an expat and with a DP who only speaks french (and my language is English but french not too shabby clearly).

I guess this is what inspired my sudden decision to cut out caffeine and alcohol a couple of days ago ...

Happyhappy37 · 02/08/2020 10:40

Congratulations @wavesandsmilesagain
🤗👏🏾👏🏾

mouldygrapes · 02/08/2020 10:52

Aargh @Wavesandsmilesagain congrats! Glad your epic efforts have paid off 😜

Semele5069 · 02/08/2020 10:59

Well, still no period here at CD29! My cycles have all been shorter than 28 days since my last miscarriage so this is the longest I've gone. I've had such weird symptoms, like I'm about to get my period but then it doesn't happen. Bad cramps one evening, a bit of spotting a couple of days later then super sore boobs last night that are gone again today.

BFN when I tested this morning but I ovulated a bit late at CD18 so still only 10DPO. I've read some things saying if you ovulate late your period will also be late as it happens roughly 14DPO, but that hasn't been my experience before and I've worried about my literal phase being too short! Either way I won't test again for a few days.

Good luck to everyone else!

Semele5069 · 02/08/2020 11:00

Luteal phase, not literal phase!^^

Rumi1 · 02/08/2020 11:02

Amazing 36 times ...
Ladies ... maybe we should try it lol

If I see AF this month ( due 7th August ) I'm going to go for it in my fertile window ... something is bound to happen

Currently cycle 3, 37 y/o and trying for number 3 after 4 mmc

Thanks for the inspiration xxxxx

Hayley19835 · 02/08/2020 11:03
