@Semele5069 fingers crossed for you. This year can only get better for all of us x

claireb707 · 30/07/2020 06:35

@EJay84

Just started OPKs. Yesterday's was a faint line and today I got this. Is this counted as Ov day and tomorrow 1DPO? Should I test again to check and count my first faint line after this as 1 DPO? x
Keep testing every few hours (4-6) till it drops back to negative, once it drops then ovulation will be 24-36 hours after thst.

Ovulation is 24-36 hours after peak, you don't know if that is the start of peak or end of peak if you only test once a day.

@FunTryin41 really sorry to hear this and wish I could advise/help! I hope you get answers from the doctors ASAP. If anything unexpected happens before then, perhaps phone nhs24? Sending you lots of virtual love and keep us posted on how you get on! 😘😘😘

Sunbird24 · 30/07/2020 12:10

@LT103 new thread!

LT103 · 30/07/2020 12:22

@Sunbird24 thanks!! I knew that but that one showed up top for some reason haha.

Copy and paste...
Hope everyone is good! I’m 8 dpo and symptom spotting left right and centre. Had really painful nipples since 2 dpo, sore boobs and shooting pains in my boobs. Felt really nauseous 2 days ago then settles but feeling so sick today. Hoping this isn’t just going to be my usual monthly progesterone symptoms!!
Had d21 bloods taken yesterday so will get results tomorrow or Monday

Hayleywoody82 · 30/07/2020 18:32

@Sleeeeeepy thank you I wondered where everyone had gone xx

Hayleywoody82 · 30/07/2020 18:33

How is everybody. Where you up to in cycle.
Im cd4 and AF easing off now.
I ovulated day 10 last month which shocked me I wasn't prepared . I will be this month

Muda · 30/07/2020 18:44

@Hayleywoody82 I’m exactly the same. Cd4 for me too. And I think We didn’t dtd early enough last cycle so will be more prepared and on it this month.

Hayleywoody82 · 30/07/2020 18:58

@Muda yes same. I was certain I would ovulate till cd15 ish so caught me off guard.
We didnt dtd until I got a static smiley and I feel it was to late .
Let's be more organised this cycle 👍

Hocuspocusandfairies · 30/07/2020 19:11

An I join this thread? I've being trying 3 years for baby 4 and I'm 41 so she very much against me. Hope it's not upsetting for others struggling TTC their first. I don't mean it to be.

I had fertility treatment for my first child 10 years ago then conceived my second and third child quickly and naturally. I miscarries twins just over 3 years ago and been unable to conceive ever since. I am very grateful for the children I have.

I'm cycle day 16 with long cycles. I've been using pre seed but swapped to conceive plus this month. Good luck everyone.

Semele5069 · 30/07/2020 19:18

Thanks @EJay84! That was so weird- fairly strong cramps in my lower belly and thighs and a sore lower back for a few hours last night, just like how I feel when my period is starting. Then when I woke this morning still no sign of AF and the cramps were gone. Really hoping that might have been a good sign as its never happened before. 7DPO today!

EJay84 · 30/07/2020 19:46

@Semele5069 fingers crossed for you it was a wee sticky bean implanting itself. Is anyone obsessed with watching people's 2 Week Wait videos on YouTube? x

Wavesandsmilesagain · 30/07/2020 20:05

Hello! Happy to have found you again after my mini break on a canal boat (beautiful but hard work!) for the first time I’m counting the days of my cycles (which I knew were longer than 28 days) and it’s CD33 now and I’m certain that despite the frankly superhuman efforts during July, AF will appear tomorrow or next day. So I’ve decided to make some more lifestyle changes, cutting out alcohol and caffeine for a month or so. I’m already pretty active and have a decent BMI (around 19.5-20), and REALLY want to not trigger my obsessive nature by starting with OPKs and lots of supplements. So I figure I’ll try a few months of more healthy living. At worst I’ll be healthier and maybe a little lighter which is no bad thing.

HUGE congratulations to the new BFPS. Such wonderful news and fingers crossed for all those beans being sticky 😊

Semele5069 · 30/07/2020 22:48

@Wavesandsmilesagain I'm so jealous of your canal boat adventure! I've always wanted to do it but my boyfriend doesn't see the appeal, largely because he lived in a caravan for ages so doesn't find small space living fun at all, plus bed die without a Wi-Fi connection!

Semele5069 · 30/07/2020 22:49

*he'd die without, that was meant to be

Rumi1 · 30/07/2020 23:54

@LT103 just read your message

I'm also having day 21 bloods taken to check ovulation

Is that the reason you are aswell ?

Im 5dpo ( CD 18 and not feeling very well at all )

Was sick this morning and needed to sleep of the nausea ... I think it's the change in hormone levels Unlikely to be pregnancy at this point

Was going to test on Saturday- but actually I'll wait until cd 22/23

LT103 · 31/07/2020 00:10

@Rumi1 2 reasons I guess. 1 I’m 38 and I was keen to make sure everything was fine but the main one was That I have been spotting for you to a week before my period and although I know it can be normal, I had read it can happen with low progesterone. We’ve only been trying 3 months so not at time for tests so I called my doctor to discuss and he said to get them checked. I’m hoping they’re all fine. I have enough progesterone symptoms they must be!!!! Sore boobs particularly!

Are you getting yours checked this cycle? I’m 9dpo tomorrow so getting near testing time.

Rumi1 · 31/07/2020 06:57

@LT103 yes I will be having my bloods on Monday 3rd aug ( Cycle day 21/22)

I'm 37 , so not far behind you

Been trying on and off for 2 years . A few mmc along the way , but trying solidly since March 2020

This will be our 3rd child

Giving it a go for the next 12 months , so we'll see how it all goes

I will take progesterone as soon as I learn that I'm pregnant ... but it does make you feel sickly

LT103 · 31/07/2020 08:28

Ugh 9 dpo and started spotting today!! Plus getting some mild cramps. Last cycle I spotted for 5 full days before af arrived. It kind of ruins the excitement of whether you might be pregnant or not when you can’t even get far enough along to test. Feeling rubbish and a bit down about it all today! Get my progesterone results either today or Monday so maybe that will shed some light on things. Was feeling really positive this month as well!

Angelchops30 · 31/07/2020 08:29

@Hocuspocusandfairies Welcome!
I'm fairly new here too although have been following a few threads. I'm 37 and ttc #2

shinylovesshoes · 31/07/2020 08:43

I broke this morning and took a test (earliest day I could and friend visiting for the weekend so wanted to just check before we have wine 😂) BFN. Not surprised but can’t help feeling a bit disappointed even although AF isn't due until Tuesday/Weds so not out yet

Highlandmama · 31/07/2020 15:18

Hoping I can join you guys? Just turned 37 and ttc no 2. 21 month old currently asleep beside me and AF just arrived! This will be 3rd month of TTC this time. It took years and a lot of heartache to conceive no. 1 but we are now ready to try again! Would love some support! Baby dust to all!

Angelchops30 · 31/07/2020 16:04

Welcome @Highlandmama
I'm also 37 ttc #2 my dd is late teens so I've spent many many years being careful in not getting pregnant now I'm very impatient for it to happen 🙈

Hocuspocusandfairies · 31/07/2020 17:14

Thank you Angelchops, we're trying do do it every other day! Because I have irregular cycles it's hard to pinpoint ovulation. It does become a chore though.

Angelchops30 · 31/07/2020 17:45

@Hocuspocusandfairies, I've recently started taking myo inositol to try and regulate myself as I too have very irregular cycles and haven't had one since stopping the depo injection in March. I definitely feel it's doing something. We aim for every other day but sometimes more sometimes less, I don't want it to become clinical
