9dpo and cramping ttc driving myself mad hoping this is baby number 2 on the way

Hi everyone,

As above 9 days dpo and experiencing cramps. Stupidly bought 20 one step tests online and have been secretly testing every morning for two days.

Recently had a chemical I have a 19 month old and we are ready for bundle of joy number 2 .

Is it normal to be this crazy and hiding testing so you don’t look like a mad woman lol

AF due Friday, starting to think FRER would of picked up by now. Still not counting myself out until AF arrives.

10dpo here and IC said bfn. Not sure it would pick it up as it’s not an early detection test but now I feel like it’s not going to happen so maybe I’ll wait and test at weekend when AF is due (I think)

Would a frer be more likely to pick it up or shall I just give up? 🤣

@LaceyMermaid well my AF is due today and I still don't have any line mine would of shown by now I've come to terms that next month is my month 💋

BFN for me too this morning. 10 DPO so maybe it’s just too early still. AF due Saturday so we shall see!
I did eat a full tub of Ben and Jerry’s last night which is usually an indication that AF is well and truly on the way 🤣

@clkx @Nls90x you’re not out until AF ladies!
I’m wondering if 10dpo is too early to show too as that what I am @clkx or maybe I’m just convincing myself!

@LaceyMermaid I’m the same I think I’m just talking myself into it. I did the same last month and then was devastated when AF arrived. Trying not too this month

@clkx It’s so hard isn’t it! This is my first month so all the tracking etc is new to me, never did this with my other dc. I think because I don’t have time on my side I’m putting too much pressure on myself! I think it would be sensible to wait until AF - whether I can make it is another matter!

@LaceyMermaid 100% I’m limited to time too so really felt the pressure. This is my last month trying before having to hold off until next year 🙄 I never tracked with my first we just let it happen so this time round has been completely different for me too!

I think it’s helpful but also adds to the stress! @clkx

Well just spoken to my wonderful doctor
On iron tablets folic acid multivitamins
Bought the digital plus tracker thermometer and charts and a sperm test kit for next cycle
If no bfp this time of course
If no joy next month he will send me to ivf because of my age so everything crossed may get the happy ending
Also suggested if I do get a positive to call him and he can give me progesterone tablets to help it stick ..........
New journey possibly with plenty of sticks to pee on!!!!
Ben and Jerry also made my evening copeable 😂😂🙄

Would hate to get your hopes up incase this is not your month but just thought I should let you know it took me 6 days after late AF to get the faintest line this time round (2nd DC).
It was 9 days after AF was due before I had a strong line so you just never know!

I was driving myself mad too and was praying for AF to arrive to put me out of my misery as I was convinced there was no way I could be pregnant when I was still getting BFN when 5 days late!

You're not out til AF arrives. Good luck everyone

Yeah DC1 I'm pretty sure I tested positive pretty much from day of missed AF! But 2nd time took ages to get even the faintest line. Same cycle length and everything so I thought it really strange! Asked midwife and she said it happens but not anything to worry about (was worried the pregnancy wasn't "strong enough" but I'm now 35 weeks so was clearly fine 😊)

I remember the frustration, angst and disappointment of each BFN and every time AF arrived though so really sympathise with you all.

Each month feels sooo long!

@TJ17 thanks. I didn’t even realise with my other dc you could do any of this or test early! 😊 luckily I fell quickly with al log them but I am a lot older now so need to be more accurate!

Hi all! Just been catching up. I'm 8dpo today, I peed on a IC this morning and got the faintest shadow of a line, and then I got the same when I tried again this evening. Not going to celebrate yet, but its given me some hope!

I also wanted to share this graphic from another thread, don't give up hope if you get to 12DPO and don't have your BFP yet!

@TJ17 Did you not get put back on dates at your dating scan? I'd always assumed that when people got 'late' positives that it was probably mostly due to ovulating later than usual. But that's always been a guess more than anything else.

@Curiosity101 actually yes they put me back 6 days! I've never actually thought of that before 😂 and it was when AF was 6 days late to the day I got my first BFP. Spooky!

Due date from last AF was 27/8 but they changed it to 2/9 at my dating scan.

Deffo could be something in that. I never tracked ovulation with DC1 or 2 but had a typical 28 day cycle with both.
