@Mommybear05 OMG I love the Xmas stocking idea 🥰 I'm all good, still over here patiently waiting x

@VP91x oh no I'm so sorry, I'm genuinely so devastated for you 😭😭 so glad the Drs have sorted your bloods and you got the private scan, do they give you results straight away? Sorry just catching up after work so sorry if I've missed you saying this x

@MichT4 Glad it went well with your mum today. Strangely we've told loads of people about the MC but didn't tell anyone in either of our families apart from my little sister x

@2020wish I had a scan at 6w4 last time they said that it was measuring 6w and saw the HB so think you'll be fine they can see it from around 5w3 I think. Glad they have you booked in though, I'm so tempted to get a cheeky EPU visit in but OH keeps telling me to work on my patience and after seeing a HB at 6w and 7w last time then pregnancy stopped progressing a few days later, a bit like you I want to get past that milestone x

@Pugprincess yep first test of the cycle is always a blank circle so that's good that it's working ☺️ what did the stick look like? 👀 xx

Pugprincess · 23/07/2020 17:23

@SmileyT similar to my photos a faint blue line xx

Pugprincess · 23/07/2020 17:23

Still got my pain going strong in my right side it’s not stopped all day x

VP91x · 23/07/2020 17:39

@MichT4 @SmileyT @MrsK21 @Jazper thank you all for thinking of me and everyone else for the support today.

I've just been diagnosed with PCOS, I'm in shock and I've had a very tearful journey home. I need to do alot of research, I have no idea what this means for the future. I have a GP appointment on Monday to discuss everything xxxx

@VP91x awww love I am so behind on this thread and came to check in. I am so sorry to hear this! Don't feel hopeless though, there of plenty of ladies here who have conceived with PCOS! Fingers crossed for you and hopefully you get reassurance on Monday xx

SmileyT · 23/07/2020 17:57

@VP91x I can totally understand why you're upset, it must have been a shock, have a large glass of wine and let yourself be upset for a bit and come Monday I'm sure things will look clearer when you speak to the Doctor... sending you so much love xx

@Pugprincess ooh hope it progresses for you tomorrow xx

Pugprincess · 23/07/2020 18:06

@VP91x oh sorry to hear that. Has it been brought on by the mc or were your cycles varied before? My friend has it and she mc get first and had 3 after with no problem. Sure posh spice has it too. It’s really common. I know it doesn’t help cause it just feels like another obstacle. Hopefully they can offer you some advice. I know you said you don’t think you ovulated every cycle but I thought you just wouldn’t have a period for ages if that was the case? Hopefully you can get some clearer answers from research and doctors. Thinking of you xx

2020wish · 23/07/2020 18:12

Thank you everyone for replying to me I’ve read through all the reply and now forgot who said what when I had to go onto the next page. Feeling very nervous my first scan is booked when I hadn’t mentally prepared myself but I’m gonna take it as another sign that it’s the right thing to go and get a scan. My first scan with my daughter was 6+3 days and I seen heart beat, I’ve just looked
Back so it all seems to be lining up... I found out I was pregnant with my daughter a week before I turned 22 and she was a march baby and first scan was 6+3. This again I’ve found out one week before my 32 birthday exactly ten years later and will be due March and first scan seems to be 6+3 so fingers crossed.

@VP91x so sorry to hear but on the flip side u now have an answer as to what’s been happening and can work on getting treatment and help. Loads of women have had good outcomes and look at wee bells. You will have ur rainbow xx

MichT4 · 23/07/2020 18:19

@VP91x gosh what a shock for you. Don't worry though, I was diagnosed with it years ago, and it should be able to be managed. It explains why some cycles are anovulatory so fingers crossed you can get something to help encourage ovulation.
Try and see it as a good step in the right direction. My oldest sister has PCOS quite badly and she has 2 and one on the way.

I agree with @SmileyT - treat yourself tonight, and every day until your docs appointment on Monday, then get everything rolling.

Don't lose hope, PMA always xx

VP91x · 23/07/2020 18:23

@fafi @SmileyT @Pugprincess @2020wish thank you so much. My cycles were always roughly regular I think? But it wasn't something I ever tracked until TTC after this miscarriage so I can't really remember. I know it can be common, I just need to find the best way to move forward and manage it so I have the best chances of falling pregnant. Need to read up on this loads. It looks like this has explained the hair loss etc.

@Pugprincess it would have been something I always had but never knew about xx

@SmileyT definitely going to have a large glass of wine. Going to spend my weekend meal prepping and getting an exercise schedule together to start with on Monday. I've just read that losing weight helps with symptoms so that's something I can properly influence not my half hearted approach I've had recently. How was your day? Xx

@2020wish that's an amazing coincidence, you must be looking forward to your scan and seeing your tiny bean ❤️❤️

Does anyone in this group have PCOS? Xx

Jazper · 23/07/2020 18:25

Oh @VP91x , I'm so sorry it wasn't better news. I'm sure it's all very raw at the moment and you will need time to digest what they have discovered but please remember that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. You can now work together with the doctors to manage it.

I think there was another lady on here saying they actually managed to reverse it. It wasn't you was it @MichT4 ?

VP91x · 23/07/2020 18:26

@MichT4 oh, I didn't realise you had PCOS. How did/do you manage it, if you don't mind me asking? Yes, I need to read lots of positive stories and I know I can get pregnant. It was just such a shock xx

OP posts:
Hayley19835 · 23/07/2020 18:29

@VP91x I'm so sorry to hear that! What a shock for you! Just catching up on the thread after a crazy busy day at work! Hope you get more answers when you see doctor xx

MichT4 · 23/07/2020 18:35

@VP91x @Jazper it was me. I'm pretty sure I don't have it now, though they said they would check again when I have all my tests. The last scan I had for it they said I didn't have it, but that was a while ago.

@VP91x I actually did a whole 6 week PCOS plan thing. It enabled me to figure out what was triggering mine, and mine was stress related. So I had to manage that really. At the time I was overtraining and underrating, I was really thin. And I think I'd carried a lot of grief/stress when my dad passed as I had a cortisol test and it said I was borderline chronically fatigued, and it traced back to around the time he died. I made lots of changes and it seemed to do the trick. They did also drill my ovaries, but not sure how much that helped or if it was just the lifestyle changes.

The main type of PCOS is insulin resistance. I think I still have all my notes somewhere, I can send them to you if you like?

xx

MichT4 · 23/07/2020 18:36

@Jazper I love 'knowledge is power'. So true xx

VP91x · 23/07/2020 18:40

@MichT4 oh I had no idea it could go away, everything I've read so far has said it doesn't have a cure. Yes, please that would be helpful to have more info ❤️

Thinking about the symptoms I've had with the hair thinning and irregular periods/no ovu it all makes sense. He did say though it is probably something I've always had xx

OP posts:
MichT4 · 23/07/2020 18:55

@VP91x I think it might just help focus your research as everything is in there.

There are also some recipes in there, as we had to do this elimination diet type thing. Not suggesting you do that, but always nice to have some recipes.

I don't think there is a cure, I think it can be managed. That's why I want to see if mine has come back. I think the stress related is probably marginally easier to manage, but I'm sure there's things that can be done to help

I'm going to try and post the general plan thing in here, but it refers to webinars which have much more detailed info. If you want them, might be easier for me to share the Dropbox folder because I can't work out how to save them 🙄 xx

MichT4 · 23/07/2020 18:59

@VP91x it won't let me upload any of it. If you send me your email address I can add you to the Dropbox folder?

interestingly I just started listening to the webinar about the menstrual cycle and she said progesterone and cortisol compete with one another, so if stressed it can impact progesterone.
I'm sure that's logical to some but it's amazing to think about being able to manage stress in that damn TWW and beyond! xx

MichT4 · 23/07/2020 19:02

Actually this might work xx

HopeForRainbowbaby · 23/07/2020 19:04

@MichT4 I see that you have told your mom! I needed the support of close ones in both MC as well as this group also helped me a lot ❤️ I hope you feel better and now your mom is aware that it has not been easy for you dear 😘

@Pugprincess wow I'm glad you found out about ov tests here. The costs are easily adding up and they better show the result ;) but yes indeed like other ladies said on the chat, some humor is always good and you made me giggle too 😘

@VP91x im sorry to hear about your diagnosis but recently I was reading about celebrity who has pcos too and happily pregnant. And at least you know what it happening and the doctor can give you something to help you with ttc. Sending big hugs

MichT4 · 23/07/2020 19:11

@HopeForRainbowbaby yeah I did. I didn't tell her before as the spotting started so early that I didn't want the whole good news, but..... scenario again. Then she was away for a week on holiday and I thought I couldn't tell her then. I felt bad but she did say she'd have felt helpless being away.
It definitely does help, never know when you might need that extra support

How are you? xx

VP91x · 23/07/2020 19:12

@MichT4 thank you so so much ❤️❤️ that is so kind of you. I'll do lots of reading up.

@Hayley19835 @HopeForRainbowbaby thank you both I really appreciate it xx

Northernsoul90 · 23/07/2020 19:12

@VP91x I bet it was a shock to hear, hope you are okay lovely. Take a couple of days to let it sink in and have a think about everything, do some research like you say. My friend has PCOS and conceived naturally, I think it's quite common . At least you have some answers now and will hopefully have a plan to move forward after speaking to your GP ❤️

@2020wish I bet you can't wait for the scan! Xx

Hayleylou89 · 23/07/2020 19:13

Hey ladies hope ur all well, had my cervical scan in preterm labour clinic today!

At 12+2wks and my cervix is 28.2mm which isnt the best (longest), 25mm is the shortest it should get before they intervene so its just above that now at just 12 weeks 😒...They said they dont normally see people until 16 weeks anyway but wanted to see what my cervix looked like as close to the start as poss, so they had some thing to go off...so they are happy to see me when im back from holiday (17weeks) and obv if its shorter than the 25mm then they will do something then like stitch or something, he said he is sort of expecting it to shorten but its nothing they cnt manage so told me not to worry iv been prescribed a high dose of omega 3 to take too ... this now just proves exactly what went wrong last time and i should have been referred under this same clinic last time but i know iv got to be positive and look forward, knowing ill be looked after this time 😒 x x x

Hi Ladies, has anyone any experience with clear blue digital weeks measuring ahead of time??

So I got my BFP Friday 10th (6days before AF was due) I took a digital weeks on Sunday 12th and it came up 2-3 weeks. Again I just took one now and its came up 3+. My count today is 4+6 days pregnant, I know I ovulated on the 2nd July. Would my test be spot on or a bit ahead??
