AF due on/around 6th August 2020

Hey all. TTC baby number 2. Last month I was convinced I was pregnant but AF came right on time!

I'm now CD 6, AF has just finished and approaching this month with OPKs for the first time and following the SMEP plan! Trying to feel positive! Anyone else with me?

Hi, AF is due 6th August for me too. First month ttc following a miscarriage in March. I'll be using opks, and tracking bbt.

I'm due AF on 3rd August. 4th cycle TTC our second. Had a chemical in cycle 2. This is my first month using OPKs too - hoping they help! 😊

Hey @DawnLaura sorry to hear about your chemical. Have you started using OPKs yet? I'm cd8 and will start using tomorrow!

@ARIO Yeah I'm CD13 and due to ovulate in the next day or so if my app is correct, so started using them 3 days ago now but no positive yet. Hoping to get that tomorrow if things are going to plan with dates.

AF due 4th August. I’ve been TTC for about 6 months. Although only properly monitoring dates for the last 3. First time although I’m 41 so thinking I may have left it a bit too late...
Have been using the CLUE app but now trying CB OPKs this month. Had the flashing smiley since Thursday. If the app is right I should have my peak Monday/Tuesday. So feel a bit like we’ve gone at it too soon 😬

Hi @shinylovesshoes, I'm using CB digital too, no smiley yet, only started testing this morning. I am not due to ovulate for 10 days or so though.

@Threnody I followed the instructions when to start but think it’s too early. If there’s no joy this month then I’ll wait a couple of days next month....he’s not complaining about the extra sex but when I told him it could be until Tuesday he wasn’t thrilled 😂

Still waiting on getting a positive OPK even though today was predicted O day. 🙄 So I guess I'm ovulating late this month... I am getting high readings on the tests so hoping my LH surge isn't far away.

It's a bit harder to DTD now as DP is back to work after being furloughed for 3 months and he works 12+ days at least 5 days a week, sometimes more. So he gets home late and is knackered. We've managed a few times in my fertile window this week but not as much as we were doing in previous cycles. Just want that positive reading so I know we can get that day covered and then I'll leave him alone for a bit. 😂😂

I tend to ovulate day 16-18 whereas my app predicts the average day 14. So don't be disheartened yet @DawnLaura.. How long are your cycles? Mine are average 28 days x

Got a flashing smiley this morning! Bit surprised, as I usually don't ovulate until around CD20 and I'm only CD13, though perhaps I'll have more high days this cycle, last time I got 2 before getting a static.

@ARIO My cycles are usually 28 days too... but now I'm worried I've missed my surge and actually ovulated early this month. The lines on my OPKs are getting fainter now. If I have ovulated early then I've totally missed my chance this month. 😥

Keep testing and lots of bding! What CD are you? You may not have, you might just be ovulating later this month. @DawnLaura

@Threnody that's great. Go go go. I think you can have high fertility for several days before your peak. I guess it varies every month.. Nothing is simple when TTC.

I'm CD 11 and still negative opks but I'm usually around 16/17 so a little while yet.

@DawnLaura definitely keep bd, just in case. You may be ovulating later, it's possible to get lh going up and down high to low before actual surge.

@ARIO, nope, nothing is simple! It's only my second month using cb, so it's interesting. Still flashing this morning, and standard opks are low still.

Still negative opks for me too but only cd12. We have started bd every other day as per the SMEP plan!

So I'm back to having hope again lol, got a very high reading on OPKs today, about 70% according to the app readings. I'm CD16, so hoping this means I'll get my peak tomorrow.

I actually looked back through the calendar on my apps from when I started tracking my cycles and I think my chemical has caused my cycle length to change. I've no idea if that can happen or not... but from the date of the chemical and my most recent cycle, they were both 33 days instead of my usual 28. So if my cycle sticks to that pattern for this month as well, my O date would be in 3 days and AF due on the 8th August (right before my 30th birthday on the 10th... a positive pregnancy test would be the best birthday present!!)

@DawnLaura I think a chemical can affect cycles, I know miscarriage can, and they say it can take 6 months for cycles to settle down. Fx for peak tomorrow and birthday bfp for you!

I'm still getting flashing smiley on my cb, and back to low results on my strips, but cm has gone from creamy this morning, to ewcm this evening, and my sex drive has gone up, so I think things are imminent, I usually get around 4 days of ewcm before ovulation, though, so we'll see. OH has been warned! Think we're going to dtd every day or every other day, depending how we feel.

@Threnody Thank you 😊 keeping everything crossed. Good luck to you too... love that you warned your OH. I said something similar to mine, said no matter how tired he is he's not getting out of BDing for the next 3 days. 😂

Guys I'm so confused right now. I'm CD 13 and did a CB digital opk which went straight to static smiley (peak), yesterday it was negative so skipped the flashing smiley. Double checked with a cheapie but its negative (attached pic). No idea what to think!!

@ARIO That is confusing. The clearblue digital have a sensitivity of 40mIu, while cheapies are usually around 20mIu, so I'd expect them to pick it up first. Is it the advanced or normal cb digital? I suppose you'd better assume you are ovulating soon and dtd just in case.

Yeah, I'm gonna assume so as you say. Though it's early for me. Annoyingly my OH is away tonight wahhhh. Yes it's the advanced.

@ARIO That's so strange! Could it be a dodgy digital OPK? I've no idea how likely that is... Definitely best to err on the side of caution and try DTD as soon as possible once OH is back!

I got my positive OPK today! 😁 We've DTD last night and night before and I'm literally in the bath just now getting "ready" so I can pounce on OH once he gets in from work. 😂

That's great @DawnLaura sounds like you have it covered! I managed to pounce OH before he left yesterday and plan to when he gets back this afternoon 😅
