AF due on/around 6th August 2020

Hey all. TTC baby number 2. Last month I was convinced I was pregnant but AF came right on time!

I'm now CD 6, AF has just finished and approaching this month with OPKs for the first time and following the SMEP plan! Trying to feel positive! Anyone else with me?

@DawnLaura congratulations! That's lovely news.

Af has got me too, came on late last night, so I'm counting it from today. Means my luteal phase is still 9 days, so my attempts to lengthen it didn't work. Ah well, onto the next cycle, and back to the diet.

Thanks guys, I am absolutely over the moon and it has turned a somewhat stressful/upsetting month into a lovely one.

In TTC news, AF is definitely here. Helloooo cycle 5!

Hi ladies, hope I'm okay to join! Cycle 3 , AF due today! I've tried to stay off MN all month as I became obsessive last month, I've got 1 IC test at home which I'm holding off using.

Thought last month was my turn but AF was just 2 weeks late! When do you ladies think I should test!

Hi @Threnody no AF as yet! I became so obsessed last month and it ended in chemical so I really don't want to go down that route!

I'm not sure about testing! I really want to especially as I've got such a pain in my right boob and feel nauseous but I could be putting 2+2 together and getting baby instead!

@BronzeSilverGold13, sorry to hear about your chemical. I think if af is late you'd be ok to test now though. I'm not a good judge though, as I'm an early tester.

@BronzeSilverGold13 I'm in the same position - had an early loss last cycle two weeks after my period was due. I didn't test that time or this time until the day after my period was due (both BFPs).

I did think about waiting this time, but I decided it was better to know whether it is a loss for sure if I end up bleeding in a couple of weeks - three losses (even early ones) are counted as recurrent so after that point I'll be able to access medical investigations if it comes to that (fingers crossed it won't!).

Of course I completely understand not wanting to know for sure about a CP, it's really very shit!

@Threnody thank you, I'm still feeling sad about it as i got so hopeful even though I tried not to.

@SequinCola mine was 2 weeks after AF was due (I've never been late in my life) AF arrived at work last month and I just cried, came home after and cried some more.

I think i would rather know one way or the other but I'm just so scared, I know it's early days for me and DP as it's only Cycle 3 and only the second of actually trying. But I want it so bad so I can't help getting my hopes up.

I think I might test tomorrow morning with my IC and then depending on the result just wait to see AF arrives in 2 weeks.

Hi everyone! After some advice, I’m usually bang on with my periods, I’m now 2 days late. I did a Morrison’s test yesterday and also today, both negative. Trying to be hopeful but didn’t even have a faint line :( anyone else had similar experience and actually ended up pregnant? Don’t know when to retest either now!

@BronzeSilverGold13 I always think it's better to know, but it's understandable you're scared about it. Good luck testing tomorrow, keeping everything crossed for you.

@louiset93 hi! Do you know when you ovulated? If you ovulated late af would be due late too.

I think it was 23rd July, had a very faint positive ovulation test few days before this, remained faint for few days and then went to negative so I assume it was around this time I ovulated

@Threnody thank you! I'll do fmu so long as af doesn't show up during the night! I'll let you know the result!

@louiset93 how do you mean faint positive? Was the test line as dark as or darker than the control line at any point? If you did ovulate then you'd be about 15dpo, so a test should be accurate, though I've heard of some women not getting a positive until 18dpo. Do you know your normal luteal length?

No wasn’t as dark as the control line but was definitely there for a few days and then not afterwards... I’m not sure of luteal legnth but I’m usually a 26-28 days cycle

Morning ladies, did an IC this morning and it's a BFP.... I'm super scared it's false so I'm out soon to buy more tests. Anyone have an ideas to say it's false? I really don't wanna get my hopes up!

@BronzeSilverGold13 that's fantastic. I think it's very unlikely to be false so long after ovulation. I totally understand you feeling anxious though after your previous experience.

Test again by all means and fingers crossed this is it!!

@BronzeSilverGold13 congratulations! That is an amazing line. I understand why you're nervous.

@louiset93 I think if the line isn't as dark as the control it doesn't count as a positive. Though you may have just missed the peak, and still ovulated around then. Or if you stopped testing once it went light again you may have ovulated later. I'd give it a couple of days and test again.
