Have you seen our guide to getting pregnant?🤣

  1. Lots of sex (every other day to catch) or SMEP or just Banging OH to death seems to work for some - For the same sex couples out there; Insemination using a cup (easily available on Amazon) Bum up after the goods are deposited... don’t leave it in the cup for ages before you put it in ✌🏾
  1. Relaxing & lots of patience
  1. Prenatal vitamins e.g Pregnacare, COQ10, Primrose oil, B6, B12, Calc Flour, Folic acid/Folate, Magnesium, Vit C (will have to do your research on amounts/when to take these)
  1. Conceive plus/preseed - if you haven’t had enough assfruit juice and you aren’t moister than an 🦪 💦
  1. Seed cycling - make sure you ground them up
  1. Grapefruit juice (ass juice) for EWCM - CM should be stretchy sometimes hard to tell the difference between cum if you get loads of action.

7.OPKS/CB Digital ovulation kits 😂 A lot of us seem to like fermometer to record the OPK peaks

  1. It will happen when it's meant to but not necessarily the month you want it to 😩

9.Wine, pizza, oreo choc and pouffe sex

10.Relax, dont be stressed, take bbt, dont take bbt, dont obsess, obsess, exercise, don't exercise too much, loose weight, don't loose too much weight, eat healthy, don't let it consume you and eat what you want apart from too much alcohol, caffeine, cigs obvs

11.PMS/ early pregnancy symptoms are the same and the progesterone likes to trick you.

And most of all it isn’t your fault, blame corona for all BFN

@Vil10 I started yesterday, since I have 25 strips 😂 it came out as a very low high, but first time using easy@home on femometr app. It looked like a low to me though.

2alreadywantanother · 16/07/2020 15:46

I'm only CD5. Feels like my fw is ages away 😂 so not going mad DTD too early then been out of steam when needed. With af been later than predicted I possibly ov on 28th/29th instead of 25th we didn't DTD daily but did coming up to 25th so have opks this time.

Newbie0818 · 16/07/2020 15:54

@Vil10 cd 12 so not far off! Wish I could predict high opk's 😭 and totally get the everyone around you being pregnant thing, so bittersweet.

We've started DTD every other day again, and are staying at the in laws this weekend so won't be able to do opk's as I can't aim mid stream! As if I'd be lucky enough to get a high this early anyway though so probably doesn't matter 😖

Mococo1 · 16/07/2020 16:11

@Newbie0818 I wouldn't really worry too much about your peak as of yet! If you could DTD at the in laws atleast one day over the weekend you be covered even if you do peak early X

Been back munching on my Oreos and ordered some FRERs 😳 should be here on the 20th in time for testing at 11DPO kind of hoping they come late lol x

DKDK123 · 16/07/2020 16:27

Argh, having one of those days where you look at your FB newsfeed and everyone is pregnant 😫 Ok slight exaggeration not everyone only 2 and a birth announcement but it feels like everyone!
Had a strop then decided to flip it around, im not pregnant so unlike them I can go and pour myself a glass of wine right now as im on holiday and my DS has just gone to his grans house for the night. Wine is the answer today.....might have to throw in some more oreo chocolate just to keep my odds up 😂

2alreadywantanother · 16/07/2020 16:41

@dkdk123 totally get u. Enjoy the wine and night off x

Vil10 · 16/07/2020 17:05

@blodyn91 yes I have those too!! I use premom app with the easy@home ones though!

@Newbie0818 it is bittersweet because I'm so happy but I'm like ugh let someone else have an baby😂 ahhh it must be frustrating but keep your head up! Even if you DTD once this weekend if you have your peak you'll be covered!

Minster2012 · 16/07/2020 17:13

@DKDK123 god I have those days regularly 😂😳wine definitely the answer, you enjoy it, why not have a lovely bath as well or pamper yourself in a way you can't with DS around? Fertile bitches can do one (that's what my head says regularly also!). Loving your attitude

@Blodyn91 hoping the viewing is going well and enjoy designing OH later whilst discussing big plans 🤔

@newbie0818 long as you are DTD regularly you can cover it anyway or you could have a tic tac container in your pocket a la @smileyT 🤣

@2alreadywantanother im with @katao (though I know I'm now making progress so shouldn't whinge) but still only wiping a tiny bit of blood so can't even class it as CD1 and call the clinic so still in limbo here but DH didn't want to come near me lady night despite telling me how much he did 😫FFS

Ltay2 · 16/07/2020 17:35

@Vil10 I am CD12 so similar! On day 2 of high/flashing smiley OPK and Ov predicted for Monday which would be CD16 so (hopefully - if I get one at all) expecting peak either Saturday or Sunday. DTD every other day starting from yesterday 🤞🏼

Hopeful110 · 16/07/2020 18:08

Ladies how highly would you rate the promatris pregnancy tests? They are a 10miu sensitivity... but my friend gave me it yesterday at work so today thought what the heck nothing to lose il dip it in my pot with my opks... now the CB dual hormone opk came back flashy face after like 4/5 days of blank circle and the HCG came back with a very very but still there faint second line...I thought it was my eyes...so I showed 2 friends at lunch and they both can see it... I know it's really really early as only 8/9dpo, But are they prone to false positives?

Emsnewmum · 16/07/2020 18:19

Hi all I hope you don't mind me joining I'm currently 8 days post ovulation period due on wednesday. This is my first cycle after mmc, wasn't going to try this month as has complications with mmc and wasn't sure if to wait for a bit but I had a lot of ewcm and the only time I've ever had it is when I got a bfp (unfortunately both ended in misscarriage) so I gave in.

Got my peak and felt really positive and like I really could concieve this month.

Dont know if I'm being silly and paranoid but I dont have any cm at the moment and I remember from my last pregnancies I used to get more and more closer to when mu period was due and then got bfp and usually had none if I got a bfn.

Sorry for the big rant its just made me loose my positive outlook! Do you think I still have a chance?
X

Eloise27 · 16/07/2020 18:27

CD14 today and on 5th day of flashing smiley on CB, so beginning to wonder if I’ll actually ovulate this month as I usually only get 2-3 days before a static smiley ☺️

Having one of those days where it just feels like things are never going to go right for us. It looks like we might have to postpone our wedding for the 2nd time and OH’s best friend has just announced that his girlfriend is pregnant with their 2nd child (which was accompanied with the usual “Hurry up and have one!” as they don’t know we’re trying or that we’ve had a CP). Obviously I’m happy for them...but sad for myself 😌
Just come back from spending the afternoon with my future MIL and feel worse for it. I love her to bits but I’ve spent the last hour listening to her talk about how wonderful OH’s brother’s kids are and how she can’t wait for us to have a baby. She knows about our loss last month and I know she means well.

Sorry for the rant - I can’t really vent to anyone IRL at the moment!

Emsnewmum · 16/07/2020 18:33

@eloise27

Sorry to hear your feeling down I definitely feel like that somedays, so hard to not be frustrated when everyone else seems to be getting pregnant at the drop of a hat! People just don't think or know about the difficulties with ttc and think they are just being nice and interested when they talk about it!

I do find talking to people in the same situation about it really nice cos everyone is going through the same so you don't need to worry about ranting it's definitely good to get things of your chest.

Love mumsnet for support! Wishing you the best with your journey x

Catherinettc · 16/07/2020 18:42

I know crazy right? All other tests were within the time frame.

Not actually sure how many dpo as I haven't been tracking. App says af due 19th. Thats if I have a normal 28 day cycle.

When I test again I will let u know the outcome (I'm very chilled about this lol im shocked 🤣🤣) xx

blodyn91 · 16/07/2020 20:00

@blodyn91 that place looks gorge and definitely something to make a pregnancy go quick when you'll have so much to do 🙌🏾

@Catherinettc glad you are not feeling stressed about it, what a nightmare with that line... these evap/ indent things are just awful on some of these tests 🙄

@Missgoldilocks even though it's not the ideal at least you have a back up plan, bet you'll fall way before then though x

@LV1987 I think 11dpo is great with an early response 👌🏾

@Hopeful110 ive never heard of those tests but have you got another test to try it against? X

Hi to those that have joined us 👋

I've just got back from drinks with a friend in an actual bar (outdoors because the weather was nice) and I'm having pizza, chips and beans for dinner after having not eaten since 9am and I don't even feel guilty ✌🏾

Hopeful110 · 16/07/2020 20:27

@SmileyT I have 2 frers in my bag and a cb digital and normal CB too, the pro matris is a 10miu so thinking maybe test with frer tomorrow with fmu and see what it holds... if nothing then il wait and test on sunday at 12dpo as planned x

Minster2012 · 16/07/2020 20:37

Hey @emsnewmum you are def not our don't worry! CM isn't a very reliable indicator for pregnancy anyway so try not to worry too much about it and after MC you may as well try anyway (a number of us have been through MC & MMC) and it can take a few cycles to get back to normal do don't be down if it takes a little bit but def don't count yourself out before time lovely

@Eloise27 why do you need to postpone again? Why not just go ahead? Cos you could get pregnant and have to change plans, or anything so why change things for someone else? I don't get it? Xx

Minster2012 · 16/07/2020 20:40

Awwwww @Blodyn91 and nowwwwww the head spinning starts 🥰😍😂how amazing it looks I don't blame you. You know what those beams would look great turned into....just sayin

Mococo1 · 16/07/2020 21:00

@catherinettc you have the right attitude hun so hoping you have a naughty bean in there..tests vary by batch so maybe all you need is like a day or two and test again and hopefully there's some progression x

@emsnewmum I'm in the exact same boat as you..and here I am 8DPO after EMC no2...so hello new cyclebuddy 🥰🥰 you always have a chance as long as af doesn't turn up! don't count yourself out just yet! X

Cocoblue22 · 16/07/2020 21:20

@blodyn91 it's great to hear you've found your dream barn and I'm sure you would love doing all the work on it if you're into Reno's you could always ask @skip86 to fly over in her helicopter and give you a hand! X

@Catherinettc sorry your tests are confusing try again in a few days and let us know the outcome 🤞🏻 for BFP! X

@Eloise27 sorry to hear you feel fed up ☹️ get some Oreo choc and a glass of wine and a nice bath x

@SmileyT loving that kids tea 🤣 x

@Minster2012 nice beams 😉 that right there is pure beam porn x

Ladies DH just went to the shop for beer and found me two new Oreo chocolate varieties.....the mint one which @lucyrp mentioned and they Oreo sandwich bar! Now I'm going to start on the mint one as it sounded lovely when lucy mentioned it! x

Eloise27 · 16/07/2020 21:23

@Emsnewmum Thank you, all the best to you too! Xx

@Minster2012 It’s more the reception/evening part that we will likely have to postpone. We are still hoping to have a legal ceremony in September but are unlikely to have the wedding we’ve planned unless this change drastically over the coming weeks ☺️ When we decided to start TTC, we were convinced that the wedding would go ahead as planned but now we’re in the position of having to book a back-up date for next year and don’t know whether to risk continuing TTC as we can only book a date up to September 2021 without losing money/having to pay quite a bit more 😌 One minute I feel like nothing else matters because having a baby is top priority, but then I also feel upset at the thought of potentially losing out on the wedding that we’ve spent 3 years planning. I know I sound pathetic and these are totally 1st world problems, sorry 😂

@blodyn91 5th September 😊 How about you? I take it you’re also Welsh from your username? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Emsnewmum · 16/07/2020 21:32

@minster2012

Aw thank you it's all just so mind boggling isn't it! I only have a week to wait but the closer it gets the more impatient I get

I do have really excessive gass at the moment it's almost funny lol I'm hoping that's a sign! And I've had random hot flushes.

@mococo1

Aw great nice to have a cycle buddy hope we both get bfp soon! How long are your cycles usually?

@eloise27 thank you!

X

Minster2012 · 16/07/2020 21:45

@Eloise27 not pathetic at all, or first world problems, they are big things. I can't imagine having to postpone a wedding and make the decisions you guys are facing it's so hard. What I don't get is why you OH's best mates missy's being pregnant means you have to postpone again though? And still don't tbh...especially if it's just the evening bit? Surely even if it's just him going without her you can still go ahead? I mean, if it makes the difference for you potentially losing a lot of money then it's up to you! Just say to them you can't change it again and they have to deal with it? Am I being a bitch??? But if only you know YOUR plans TTC wise and what could happen there then only you can make the decisions on it 🤷‍♀️. I'm someone who got engaged end of April and got married mid dec same year still in a v decent big bash so it can still be done quickly but I don't see why she gets to get in the way xxx

Minster2012 · 16/07/2020 21:51

OMG I keep posting too soooooon argh.

@cocoblue22 my DH needs to get a lesson from yours, we are sorely lacking in the oreo choc variety damn it. He's just gone off for a "dog walk" moaning cos his mate doesn't want to go for a beer with him whinging cos I've got myself wine, I told him he can bleed for over a week instead FFS. #beamsislifeinthecountry 😂

@skip yessss we need you here, I did mention we have rats in the garden from the farm next door #notglamourousinthecountry 🐀

@Emsnewmum we'll get you through the week 🤛🏻👊🏻don't worry.

@Blodyn91 did they give you an indication how much that stresspot bathouse grand design would set you back? Did you take your tape measure?!

@smileyT jealous of your tea 😹
