Hey! Looks like our thread filled up

@Positivity2019 @Wearenotyourkind @hwotsit @jx0x0

@Wearenotyourkind nothing us women can't handle. It was just like an uncomfortable smear but nothing to faint over how some women were saying it was but then again everyone is different. I didn't feel the dye go in or anything :)
How are you?? X

I’m ok thank you @hwotsit - the nausea come and goes. Luckily it’s not been too bad so far today - it’s my 40th birthday and I didn’t want to miss out on cake! Scan is 2 weeks tomorrow 🤞🏻

@hwotsit sorry to hear you’re feeling low. But you’re not out for the month until your out so I’ll be keeping things crossed for you. Temp above the baseline in the Am is very positive. Also Happy Anniversary to you and your partner!!

@MF1981 good to hear from you, glad you’re keeping fine and Happy Birthday!!!!

I have my fertility consultation on the 21st April. It’s a video call so must be going over all the test results we have had so far. My second progesterone test was 7.2 so again super low. Had a full blood work up done after that and Testosterone, LH, FSH, blood sugar, prolactin, kidney function and cholesterol are all normal. Progesterone was 4.4 but i was on my period so I guess that’s normal for that time of month.
My partner has his SA booked for 2nd April so it’s just a waiting game here and keep trying in the meantime.
Some good news for this cycle is I did get a peak reading on my clear blue advanced monitor. Never get a peak and the only other time I got a peak on that thing was last year when I got pregnant. So trying to feel positive that I liked ovulated this month but not holding my breath for a BFP of anything. Just happy that at least some months I ovulate.

Hey guys,

I am sorry to see there has been no more BFPs but sounds like you've all made tonnes of progress with tests/referrals and plans which is really great.

@Positivity2019 So great that you got a LH surge this month. Fingers and toes tightly, tightly crossed for you and your DH. Praying this month is your month.

@hwotsit As @MF1981 says don't worry about your progesterone for IVF. Most people (including me) do whats called 'medicated cycles' during IVF. This means that all your natural hormones are shut down anyway and they can control all your levels through medication. I did that because my estrogen was too high so they needed to control my levels - which they did amazingly well once my natural hormones were shut down. It's amazing and comforting the amount of control they can have over your cycle during IVF. As well as progesterone pessaries I was given progesterone injections to take until 12 weeks. They were called 'Lubion.' It may be worth you asking about those if you end up on the IVF path as my consultant said the success rates of women using Lubion as well as pessaries has been really promising. (I think it's reality new here - but more common in the USA.)

@Wearenotyourkind Congrats on the weight loss that's so impressive. Well done! 3 stone is such an incredible achievement and I am sure will do wonders for fertility or prep for any upcoming treatments.

@MF1981 Fingers crossed for your scan. You must be over the moon! Let us know how it goes.

I am 25 weeks now. All good with the baby so I can't complain at all but have been having quite bad anxiety for the last two months. Slowly coming out of it but I think the pregnancy hormones have really affected me (far more than the IVF hormones weirdly.)

Love to all.

@jx0x0 glad to hear from you and glad to hear all going well with your pregnancy. Won’t be long until your previous wee bundle is here.

@hwotsit how are you doing?

@Wearenotyourkind I hope you are doing fine.

Positivity2019 · 06/04/2021 21:45

@jx0x0 precious not previous 😂

MF1981 · 07/04/2021 18:41

Hey guys. Had my 12 weeks scan today - we’re actually measuring at 13+3 so a week ahead! Then they told me that as it’s twins they will be delivered at 37 weeks so they’ve basically knocked a month off my pregnancy today!

How is everyone?

Positivity2019 · 07/04/2021 21:37

@MF1981 twins! That’s amazing news. How wonderful for you guys ❤️

Wearenotyourkind · 19/04/2021 11:49

Hiya - apologies I've been AWOL for a bit...

@MF1981 OMG congrats on twins! How lovely! How are you feeling about it?

@Missgoldilocks how many weeks are you now? Do you know what you're having??

@jx0x0 hope your anxiety is still easing. How are you doing now?

@hwotsit and @Positivity2019 sorry to hear you've both been feeling low. I totally get this re progesterone. I was so so upset when my low progesterone came back on the bloods. Same as you @Positivity2019 - I had to take the rest of the day off work as I couldn't stop crying. For me, it just felt like another massive kick in the teeth. And I didn't expect to feel like that - I thought I'd be pleased an issue had been picked up, which can the be treated. How are you both doing now?

So the reason I've been AWOL...I am 13 weeks pregnant. Had 12 weeks scan this morning and everything is looking good. I can't actually believe it. Think I'm still in shock. It's been a bloody long and rocky 13 weeks though. Had 2 early scans due to some concerns. And had to desperately persuade the GP to ask gynae for authority to prescribe Cyclogest - so I've been on that and aspirin since 6 weeks.

So I still managed to conceive with low progesterone! We were waiting to be seen at fertility clinic after being referred in December, but never made it to the top of the list. I'm under consultant care, so am being well looked after.

Sending love ❤️

MF1981 · 19/04/2021 11:53

Sorry to hear that @hwotsit - IVF can feel a little overwhelming but once you’re into it and following your schedule it kind of just flows and, whilst it’s not the easiest route, it can help you feel that you’re being proactive and are on your way to getting to where you want to be. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Wearenotyourkind · 19/04/2021 12:09

Thank so much 🥰 I totally get it @hwotsit - sending lots of love to you 💕

@Missgoldilocks great to hear from you and how wonderful you’re having a wee boy. Hope you’re keeping well.

@Wearenotyourkind are you planning to find out what you are having?

Our fertility clinic appointment went quite well on Wednesday. We have a really lovely lady and she was very positive and helpful. She isn’t concerned about my low progesterone. She said that because all of my other results are completely normal and I have a regular cycle that she is confident I am ovulating. Maybe not every month but definitely some of the time. I have started a weight loss programme and in nearly two weeks. The first week I lost 11ibs and I’m due to weigh on Monday so I’m hoping I can keep up the momentum. The fertility doc was encouraged this and thinks that with steady weight loss I will likely ovulate more frequently. She is going to book me in for an ultrasound to check my ovarian reserve but that will be after my partner had had some additional tests.

Turns out his sworn count is low and the viscosity is abnormal. So he is booked in for a repeat SA to make sure the results were accurate and he is getting an appointment at the clinic for examination and blood tests. His tests could take a wee while and so the consultant has said that once that is done we will have another video consultation and plan the next steps. That’s probably when I will have my ultrasound booked in. She thinks that by then I will have lost weight and the images will be clearer.
Soooooo I guess I’m feeling relieved there is good forward momentum and relived for the validation that something isn’t quite right. However, consultant is encouraged that we have managed to conceive naturally once already. We just have to keep being patient which is damn hard but hey ho.

Missgoldilocks · 26/04/2021 10:47

@Positivity2019 that sounds like a great step in the right direction! My sister's husband had a sperm count of 8000, he stopped smoking cut down on drinking and started juicing green vegetables every day, 6 months later his sperm count is now 40000 👏👏👏 it can change if he puts in the work and maybe the procedure of putting the sperm where it needs to be inside you will help? IUI I think it's called. Obviously after scans etc xx

Wearenotyourkind · 26/04/2021 18:57

Glad it sounds like your appt went well @Positivity2019. And an amazing achievement re the weight loss so far! Well done! Good news that they don't seem concerned about your progesterone too. How has your partner reacted to the identified issues from his SA? I saw on another thread, someone's partner took Proxeed and this made a huge difference. I totally agree with you about being patient as we have all be patient for soooo long already. It's not easy. Hang in there, you're doing great!

No we're not going to find out the sex @Missgoldilocks! So cute that your son is excited now though.

Positivity2019 · 26/04/2021 20:43

@Missgoldilocks thanks for that information, that’s really good to know. We are both committed to weight loss and my partner doesn’t drink so we are really hoping that losing weight and getting fitter will help us conceive sooner rather than later.
I think it is called an IUI and I’ve looked into it. It could definitely be an option. I think after he has had further tests and we have our next appointment we will get more options for what we can do.

@Wearenotyourkind My partner is ok about his SA results. Thinks it’s good to know and by knowing hopefully it can be sorted in some way or we can get the help we need because of it.
I’ll look into Proxeed, not heard of it but we will try anything at this point.

Wearenotyourkind · 11/05/2021 10:57

How are you doing? @Positivity2019 xx

Positivity2019 · 11/05/2021 12:30

@Wearenotyourkind Hi hi how are you keeping? I’m just plodding on here. I feel a bit hope less if I’m honest. One of my colleagues who just returned to work in Jan after her maternity leave announced her second pregnancy on Saturday and honestly it feels like the last straw as far as my hopes go. Its seems such a distant and unlikely dream at the moment which is a crap feeling.
My partner has his second SA on Friday this week and then hopefully that will then lead to his appointment for further checks with the fertility clinic. I am keeping at the weight loss in the hopes we get a miracle due to that. But yeah, just living a bit of a purgatory at the moment.
Sorry to be so sour. I hope your fine and all’s going well.
