Is anyone TTC after Mirena Coil removal?

Had my coil removed a week past on Monday to TTC baby no 3. I'm 36 soon, 9 years older than at my last pregnancy so no idea if it will be harder this time. My other 2, we conceived first cycle. I don't even know when or if to expect a period so that I can time when I might be ovulating, since I haven't had a period on the coil for 5 yrs. Not even really looking for advice I suppose, just to see if anyone is in same boat with TTC after having a coil removed?

Had a mirena from aged 23 to 28. Had it taken out in the Feb to TTC, bled straight away but not very much and then nothing for three months. In May went to my GP who said it’s really common to not have regular periods post mirena because one of the side effects is that it makes your endometrial layer very thin. Had a scan and sure enough it was around 1/4 of the depth necessary to conceive. Was advised to take supplements to increase endometrial layer so saw an alternative practitioner who advised I take Red clover, royal jelly, maca root, Raspberry leaf, rose hips, and hibiscus flower to both thicken it up and increase blood flow. Started taking those in June and got a period in August, so six months after I had the coil removed. Fell pregnant that September. Didn’t have a mirena put back in after DD1 was born as I knew we wanted to try for DC2 pretty swiftly. Sure enough when we started trying again (I was 30 by then) I got pregnant straight away.

I checked CM today and there were like white lumps in it that were really sticky. I read this could be the body getting geared up to make a mucus plug. Really crampy tonight too. I checked the Clear Blue Tests I bought and they say they only read HCG of 20+ so I've ordered some First Response to come tomorrow as they say HCG of 10 and above. x

Speaking of cm... I’m so rubbish at understanding it. Which sounds ridiculous! I know it’s supposed to change but I can’t say I ever notice much of it, ever.. so wouldn’t have a clue. I rarely see it in my underwear, whereas I’ve seen some posts about people saying they have loads. I think it went to egg white during my fertile window but we were DTD so much that it could’ve been the result of that too (TMI 🙈). Trying not to think too much on it but it’s definitely another thing I’ve googled this week 😂

Every day has defo been a school day here too! I have learned all sorts of weird and wonderful things x

@Amy259 god me neither! 🙈 I just don’t really get it as I don’t notice much either but I guess everyone is different so best to go by bbt. Although mine has been all over the place recently and my app is asking me why - I don’t know!!! Only CD8 though so hopefully it’ll calm down and show ovulation in the next week sometime

I was dying to show my hubby there when he came in from nightshift but it's his BDay tomorrow so want to keep quiet till then. I'll still be dipping the FRer as soon as it arrives lol. I have a Clear Blue Digital that I'll try tomorrow to show people. I assume it will detect at the same strength as the one I took this morning as it's in the same packet? x

@LaceyMermaid my BBT has been okay, there was one random one that was super low but I had a rubbish sleep so I just told the app not to include it in the trend.

@Amy259 I don’t think it matters currently for mine as I’m before ov. It’s just been up and down! What matters is showing ov with 3 raising temps in a row (which should be in the next 5 days!)

10 or 11, I'm not sure. Depends how long after my peak that I ovulated. I won't believe it until I've taken a few more tests lol x
