Thanks @PurplePansy05, big hugs to you too.

Starfish762 · 10/09/2020 20:45

Sven’s doing okay bless him, he’s been such a trooper with his cone & just got on with it. My other cat Eddie definitely would not of tolerated it for 1 minute 😂 His wound is still so raw & disgusting but the vet assures me it looks worse than it is, today was his last day of medication though so hopefully won’t go downhill 🤞🏼 I’ll attach a pic as it seems a few of you are also cat fans 😻 @PurplePansy05 hope your kitty is okay, mine do sneeze fairly often & never had any issues there. They’re nearly 9!

Looked back on my app & we conceived DD DTD every other day but 3 days in a row over fertile window, then the baby we lost was conceived every other day. I done the ovaview poas at midday & 7pm & the line was noticeably darker, and today was 2nd day of flashing on CB, so hopefully I’ll get static tomorrow. We’re sticking with our plan of DTD every day for the next couple & if it doesn’t work this time I’ll go back to every other. Urgh it’s so unsexy scheduling in forced sex 🙈

@Threnody @PurplePansy05 so sorry you’ve both been sad. I think it comes in waves but all we can do is ride them then try to honour the dates & do what we can to get through them. DH & I had a row a while back coz he couldn’t remember our due date that should’ve been (& at the time he forgot the date of the 12 week scan, MVA was at 10.5 weeks). So upsetting but just the way most men deal with things I guess. That’s a lovely way to look at it @purplepansy05 - so true ❤️

CB static smiley today as suspected, pleased my cycle is regular again. I always count ovulation as the day of the static smiley, but am I right in thinking it can be anywhere from now to the next 48 hours, or may already have happened? Not sure how the rest of you ‘know’

Threnody · 11/09/2020 09:46

@Starfish762 I have found CB advanced give me a static smiley 3 days before I ovulate, but that may just be me. Generally speaking you ovulate within 12-48 hours of your first positive opk. It depends a little when you test, as obviously you don't know if your surge started just after you tested yesterday, or just before you tested today. Are you temping as well?

PurplePansy05 · 13/09/2020 14:44

Somehow I've stopped receiving notifications! @Starfish762 Sven is gorgeous 😻 look at this face 😻 I'm definitely a crazy cat lady, although my dog stole my heart I must admit 🤣 My kitten is still sneezing unfortunately and she's got some nasal discharge so DH is taking her to the vets tomorrow just to be safe. My AF is finished and I'm back on the C25K bandwagon from tomorrow! We're also back in the office for part of the week, I'm so glad to have the prospect of getting out of the house for work, I like WFH, but am desperate for a change of environment!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Threnody · 14/09/2020 07:20

Poor kitten, @PurplePansy05, hope she's OK. Glad you are getting out of the house, I know how you feel, I got to go into the office the other week and it was lovely to have a change of scene and see people in real life. I've been dreadful and haven't done any running for ages, and been off my diet a bit too. Today would have been my due date, but I got a flashing smiley this morning so I guess at least I can focus on that.

Starfish762 · 14/09/2020 13:25

@Threnody sorry to hear today would’ve been your due date, hope you’re as okay as you can be. Glad you got your flashing smiley though & can focus on that. I’m only 3 days PO (ish) & already feeling so impatient 🙈

@PurplePansy05 let us know how you get on at the vets! Sven’s doing much better now but needs the cone on a while longer & to stay inside, poor thing.

I feel like it’s just us 3 on this thread now, where’s everyone gone?! 😂

WildflowerPetals · 14/09/2020 22:11

I’m still here! Just following along 😊 I don’t have much of interest to add at the minute haha. AF finished Thursday and have been spotting until today which is normal for me these days! Just waiting for my doctors appt on Friday. Actually, since I last posted on here I’ve found out my mum has endometriosis. So I’m going to mention that at my appt as it’s something I’ve often wondered if I have x

Carefree1 · 15/09/2020 09:45

Hi everyone,
Sorry, I sort of joined then disappeared as we went on holiday but back now and ttc. But I promise to do better moving forward and keeping up with everyone 😊.
I’ve had a little look through and sorry to hear some of you have had a tough time lately! & I don’t have any cute pet pics to add.

I’m probably out this month - got a peak on OPK yesterday and hadn’t tested over the weekend as had dreaded cystitis (eurgh tmi) and therefore didn’t dtd. But managed to last night, and will keep on for a few days. I never know is it too much every day? So conflicting.
I’ve got a blood test next week to check hormones to then get fertility referral, but I think it will come back fine because I think I’ve actually ovulated this month by all accounts!

Good luck at your doctors appointment on Friday @WildflowerPetals

Starfish762 · 15/09/2020 11:17

@WildflowerPetals Keep us posted after your appointment. Be firm too, my friend’s been on a waiting list since last year for investigative tests for PCOS - obv covid is what delayed things further, but it’s shocking she’s been fobbed off for so long. Is endometriosis hereditary then?

@Carefree1 welcome back! Eurgh cystitis sucks! Good news you have a blood test & things are being investigated properly. You never know this month, but best attitude to have is to assume it’s not though so the disappointment hits slightly less hard. That’s my plan but I struggle with it, especially this month as my cycles nice & regular again & we’ve DTD lots. We’ll see! Longest TWW ever 🙈

Who else has the odd glass of wine during TWW? I never drink Mon-Thurs anyway but this weekend is 7/8 DPO so I’m wondering if I should avoid. I know that’s super early even IF I was pregnant, but after the MMC I do worry about it sticking & the guilt etc, so just wondering what others do? We have no plans this weekend so relaxing with a couple of glasses of wine Fri/Sat would be nice. I have a girls dinner next Wed which will be 12DPO so I’ll prob test that morning just so I know for sure, coz it’s the girls who don’t just have ‘a couple’ 😂

WildflowerPetals · 15/09/2020 12:46

@Carefree1 Thanks 😊 Glad you are having some investigations done! X

@Starfish762 I will do. I’m hoping with it being my family and since I’ve already had a miscarriage they’ll take it more seriously. When I’ve been before about stomach pains they’ve asked if there’s endometriosis or PCOS in my family but I’ve always said “not that I know of” - it’s not like everyone sits down with their family and goes through all their medical conditions is it haha. I remember my mum having key hole surgery when I was young but I didn’t know what it was for and never thought to ask. Endometriosis is generally hereditary I think - but not always. My mum also said my grandma had a hysterectomy about 40 years ago but she’s doesn’t know if that was for endometriosis or something else. My grandma is no longer with us so I can’t ask her either. I asked for a female doctor in the hopes she’ll be more understanding but we’ll see.

I don’t know about wine but I have had a couple of Kopparberg’s during the 2WW X

Threnody · 17/09/2020 11:23

Hello ladies! And how are the kitties doing?

@Starfish762 thanks, I managed to get through the day. How are you doing? I think the odd drink in tww is fine - I believe before implantation it doesn't matter anyway, as nothing gets through.

@WildflowerPetals Good luck for your appointment tomorrow. How do they test for endometriosis? Hope you get some answers.

@Carefree1 hi, sorry you had cystitis, that's horrible. Fingers crossed for you. You can ovulate within 12-48 hours of your initial positive opk, then the egg lives up to 24 hours, so hopefully you caught it! Good that you're getting a blood test.

I am still getting flashing smileys, and I'm on CD17, so I have broken my pattern of having ovulation a day earlier each month. I'm hoping that means things are getting back to normal. I have my second blood test booked for next Friday, but I may have to change it depending on when I ovulate (Dr said not to use track, and to just go on CD26, but it's supposed to be done around 7dpo, and with my short luteal phase, if I leave it late just a couple of days af would have shown up). I'm supposed to be having a scan as well, but no sign of an appointment so far - at least with the NHS app I can see the dr requested one.

Carefree1 · 18/09/2020 08:27

Hi, how is everyone today?
@WildflowerPetals good luck for your appointment today, let us all know how it goes!
@Starfish762 I think alcohol in the TWW is fine, as long as it’s not excessive. Although I saw an article in the daily mail (so it must be true 😉) yesterday, that changes are coming into place that your alcohol consumption even before you knew you were pregnant would go on child’s record for life. Seems a bit excessive....
@Threnody thank you for the info - hopefully it’s enough, but I’m not going to get my hopes up. I would change it if you’re confident of al your dates etc. So that you don’t have to wait another month.

I’ve been really bad lately - my DH young cousin fell pregnant and her due date is within a day of what would have been my due date with mmc. I have avoided her like the plague - I saw her in Morrison’s about a month back, acted like a secret agent whilst I shopped, got in the car and sobbed. I guess it’s tough as each milestone she goes through is a milestone I miss. Anyway, she’s been trying to meet up with us for some time and I’ve been putting it off, but she’s asked again to see us this weekend so I’m going to make plans to see her.
I know it’s not her fault and a baby is a blessing, I just know it’s going to be tough. The whole thing makes me feel like a bitch and soo guilty.

Threnody · 18/09/2020 10:44

@WildflowerPetals good luck with your appointment

@Carefree1 sorry you are feeling this way - you're absolutely not a bitch, it is so difficult. It was my due date on Monday, and one of the ladies on one of my Facebook groups had a baby on Tuesday, and it just made me so sad, but obviously happy for her. I have another friend who is due her rainbow baby next month. It is an emotional minefield.

Got a static smiley and peak opk this morning.

WildflowerPetals · 18/09/2020 13:00

@Threnody Thanks! The only way they can confirm Endometriosis is by a Laparoscopy (key hole surgery) which I don’t really want as having general aesthetic scares me 😩 Glad you’ve got your peak and static smiley this morning, does that mean you’ll still be okay for your bloods next Friday?

@Carefree1 Thank you, it’s not until around 3:30pm but I will definitely let you all know how I get on. I saw that about the alcohol consumption going on your child’s record - absolutely ridiculous! One of my closest friends (know her since school but also work with her) is due 2 weeks after I would have been due. I have to see her every day with her growing bump and hear people talk to her about her pregnancy, etc. and she’s going on maternity leave 2 weeks today - it’s been hard but I’ve tried to be there and support her as a friend as much as I can. She’s also been really understanding and there for me too. It all depends on what your relationship with your cousin was like in the first place and how understanding she is. It will definitely be tough for you but when you’ve met up with her once then I’m sure you‘ll feel more comfortable doing it again x

WildflowerPetals · 18/09/2020 19:57

My appointment went well, they said I can have my bloods done - so I’m having a check of all the basics as well as hormones (LH, FSH, Testosterone). I mentioned endometriosis and she said we’ll get the bloods done first and go from there so all in all a good outcome I think 😊

Starfish762 · 20/09/2020 09:04

Happy Sunday all! Hope everyone’s having a good one.

@WildflowerPetals Glad the appointment went well, keep us posted with results etc.

@Carefree1 How did your apt go? Sorry to hear you’ve been having a tough time. I’m dreading my due date coming but can only imagine how extra tough it is having someone close at the exact same stage you should’ve been ☹️

@Threnody FX for you! Glad you’re being investigated too.

@PurplePansy05 what happened with your kitty at the vets? Sven’s still got his cone on poor thing, been nearly 2 weeks! Hoping a couple more days though & it’ll be fully healed & he can be freeeeee!

I tested yesterday at 8DPO coz I had a IC in the cupboard, BFN. Holding off now until 12DPO. Had so much hope this much as we DTD every other day after AF & didn’t miss it once, then done it 3 days in a row from flashing smiley - but the negativity is setting in now. Constantly feeling my boobs 😂 But they’re not sensitive at all 😩

PurplePansy05 · 20/09/2020 16:38

I'm not getting any notifications from MN, apart from the tags, thank you @Starfish762.

My kitty has mild cat flu, the vet said she's probably caught it from her litter mates before she was vaccinated. Luckily she's since had full vaccinations and is very healthy and strong. She had a full check up and she seems alright. We keep her in with us when we shower, steam helps her a lot 😊 Bless Sven, he must hate the cone by now! Lots of treats from mum?

You know you're a bit too early testing, I know it's an annoying thing to say but it's true. Leave it a bit longer and if it's still BFN maybe next month just go for it without thinking much or tracking? Just have sex regularly? Sometimes too much planning and tracking is unhelpful, it nearly makes you think this is totally my month and then when it doesn't happen it seems abnormal, whereas actually it's completely normal not to get pregnant even if you have sex at the right time. This extra expectation doesn't help longer term I find.

I am around halfway through my cycle now, we DTD twice. It's very odd because my ovulation is usually closer to CD 18, but I had EWCM, twinges etc starting around CD 12. So not sure what's going on really. Today I am feeling actual cramps, a bit like before my period. My cycle has definitely changed after my third loss.

Carefree1 · 20/09/2020 17:52

Thank you for not being judgemental about the situation with cousin. @WildflowerPetals you’re definitely stronger than I am, but glad you remain close to your friend.
We met with her and her OH yesterday and they asked us to be godparents. Which is of course an absolute privilege, but extremely bitter sweet. Selfishly shed tears but need to put my big girl knickers on and move forward.
@WildflowerPetals glad your appointment went well, looks like you’re moving in the right direction 😊.
@Starfish762 I’ve got blood tests booked for tomorrow which I think is the progesterone and then general check up. It’s still mega early for testing though as you know, so don’t let it get to you!
@PurplePansy05 hope kitty is on the mend soon!
Hope you’re all having a great weekend x

Starfish762 · 21/09/2020 07:03

@PurplePansy05 so pleased your kitten is okay! A reminder of how important jabs are. We pay monthly for cover at our vets which provides jabs, all flea & worm treatments, twice a year health check & 10% off all vet treatments & prescriptions. Great little cover in case your vets do something similar.

So ladies it turns out I literally have zero self control, bought a FR yesterday & tested this morn @ 10DPO, looks like a squinter! Exciting, but the line seems so far to the left I’m wondering if it’s really real. Got another in the box but going to save till Wed/12DPO, which was my original plan 🙈

Starting TTC again after missed miscarriage part two
Starfish762 · 21/09/2020 07:04

Not going to mention to DH until I see what Wed’s test says, as it is very odd the line’s so far to the left 😩

Threnody · 21/09/2020 09:59

@Starfish762 - oh wow! That is clearly a line, and looks to be in a similar place to the lines I've had on Frers (I think sometimes the whole strip is just a bit more to one side or the other) . Tentative congratulations!

@WildflowerPetals - glad that your appointment went well and you are getting tests. I think it helped with my anxiety a bit just getting offered testing.

@PurplePansy05 - poor kitty! I hope she feels better soon. Fx for you. I hate how we just don't really know what's going on in our bodies.

@Carefree1 - oh gosh, that is lovely of them, but totally understand the tears. Big hugs. I hope your blood test goes ok today. Where are you in your cycle - is it the full tests, or just progesterone?

Workingmama1 · 21/09/2020 10:20

Hi ladies, just saying hello and hope you (and the kittys!) are all ok.

@WildflowerPetals @Threnody glad they are doing investigations for you.

@Starfish762 that's not a squinter it's a great line for 10dpo!

I'm 11 weeks now and had a big scare at the weekend, with a pretty big red bleed overnight (enough to soak through to the sheets, dripping into the toilet and fill a tissue on wiping). I was convinced it was the start of the end. The EPU don't scan at the weekend so had to wait until this morning, but saw a wriggly baby with a heartbeat at my scan!

Threnody · 21/09/2020 10:28

@Workingmama1 oh gosh, that must have been so scary. So glad baby is OK and you got to see them!

Starfish762 · 21/09/2020 10:45

@Workingmama1 welcome back! Oh gosh how scary! What a relief, bet you were in floods of tears when you saw little babe moving around?! What did they say it could’ve been? Soaking sheets is very dramatic eh! Def a girl 😉
