@WildflowerPetals No, I never test at the same time every day. It doesn't matter. Just remember not to use fmu and test between 10am-6pm (or whatever the instructions say). I usually test in the morning until lines start getting darker, then test twice a day so I don't miss my surge!

Starfish762 · 18/08/2020 06:50

I’m now in that annoying stage of thinking constantly about testing 🤪 9DPO today but really want to stay strong till at least 11DPO but hopefully 12, we’ll see 😂

Anyone seen selling sunset? Utter trash TV about hot girls selling real estate in LA but I’m hooked, anyway 2 separate girls on there talk about their miscarriages. Then last night watching the fall also mention a woman being pregnant & not knowing. IT’S RELENTLESS! 🙈

WildflowerPetals · 18/08/2020 09:02

@Threnody Okay, perfect, thanks for your help!

@Starfish762 I LOVE Selling Sunset 🙈 And I found it so refreshing for them to talk about their miscarriages 😊 I was so happy for Maya when she got pregnant, and it gave me hope x

Threnody · 18/08/2020 09:47

Day 5 of flashing smiley, longest so far. Ff gave me three green days from CD10-12, then two non-green days, but I still have the green traffic light. Ovia says I'll ovulate in 2 days, femometer says tomorrow, and premom says in 5 days. Going to just keep dtd every other day and see how it goes I guess.

Fingerscrossedfor2021HK · 18/08/2020 10:22

Hi ladies,

First of all, I am so sorry for all of your losses. I hope you don't mind me joining... I had a MMC discovered at around 10 weeks after having seen a 'healthy' heartbeat at 7ish weeks (later, after a lot of fraught googling, I found out that the bpm of 110 was probably too slow). I had an ERPC on 17 July and AF (or what i assume was AF) arrived 3ish weeks later on 9 August, although I am now having some spotting so who knows what is going on really.

I was completely broken after the MMC - this was my first and very much wanted pregnancy. I conceived 5 months after coming off the pill and the first month of properly 'trying' (OPKs etc) and I sort of felt like I had jinxed things for being all pleased with my body for catching so quickly...I am 33 and had delayed trying for a year or so because I wanted to enjoy being married / travelling for a few years. Of course, now i feel like a selfish cow for putting it off and feel like it will never happen.

These threads have helped me feel so much less alone. I had never even heard of a MMC before. In fact, I only went in for the fateful scan because of a weird niggling feeling about the heartbeat being too slow and a general sense of something being wrong (I am in HK and private healthcare insurance covers this sort of thing).

Good luck to all of you ladies and fingers crossed that we get happier news soon x

Sakura54 · 18/08/2020 17:41

Thanks all. I’m so relieved to tell you that all is well. Heard the heartbeat. Maybe things will be ok after all?

Threnody · 18/08/2020 18:44

@Sakura54 that's brilliant news, I hope it will be!

@Fingerscrossedfor2021HK Welcome, I'm sorry for your loss. I found the mmc messed my cycles up for a while. Fx for you to get back to normal and get a bfp soon.

Starfish762 · 19/08/2020 06:06

@Sakura54 Yeyyyy congratulations! So happy for you. Bet it was an emotional experience once you saw heartbeat? Was DH allowed into the scan?

@Fingerscrossedfor2021HK so sorry for your loss. My cycles were a bit messed up for a little while too with lots of spotting, seem to be back on track now though. FX doesn’t take too long for yours. Glad you get good healthcare in HK, must’ve been extra tough going through MC without fam around though? I live 300 miles from my family & it’s not easy at times.

Had a terrible nights sleep dreaming of BFP’s, so woke up early to do a FR test - 10DPO today & BFN 😩

WildflowerPetals · 19/08/2020 09:34

@Fingerscrossedfor2021HK So sorry for your loss. Most people’s cycles seem to be a bit messed up after MMC, I didn’t get my first period for 7 weeks after so it really does vary from person to person. Hope all goes well with TTC again x

@Sakura54 SO happy for you that you heard a heartbeat this time round 💕

@Starfish762 Sorry you got a BFN this morning, never gets any easier does it 🙁 x

Sakura54 · 19/08/2020 09:53

Thank you all! No, partners still aren’t allowed where I am and it doesn’t look like that will be changing. The maternity department is busy every time I go so it makes sense, otherwise there’d be men everywhere waiting around! Its sad and the fact they can’t stay after birth but hopefully that will change soon.

Good luck, ladies. I’m still following you in the background.

Threnody · 20/08/2020 09:38

@Sakura54 that must have been scary going alone. So glad it was good news.

@Starfish762 sorry about the bfn, 10dpo is still early!

Got my static smiley today after 6 days of flashing ones. It's been quite interesting having the two readers as I've been alternating them so I can see that my oestrogen levels have been rising continuously, even today with fmu. Cheapie opks are higher, but not peak yet, so I'll test again later today. We dtd last night, and the night before, think oh was hoping for a rest tonight, but he's obviously not getting one now! 😅

Workingmama1 · 20/08/2020 15:41

Great news on static smilely @threnody! Definitely keep dtd 😄

Hit my next mini milestone today at 7 weeks, have a follow up scan at the epu on Monday as all they could see last week as a egg yolk and sac but no baby or fetal pole as it was too early. Feeling nervous but trying to stay positive!

@Starfish762 10dpo is very early to get a bfp, I didn't get one until 12 dpo this time so there is still time.

Starfish762 · 20/08/2020 16:03

@Workingmama1 @Threnody oh gosh you’re giving me hope again! 12DPO tomorrow so will report back.

@threnody glad you got static smiley, keep at it & everything crossed for you. Dunno about you but it’s this point of the month where I always feel happy & content, there’s just so much hope & excitement isn’t there.

@workingmama1 oh do keep us posted after Monday. Are you allowed to take DH?

@Sakura54 sorry you had to go alone, but as it was good news I’m sure you weren’t all that fussed & skipped out Smile

Workingmama1 · 20/08/2020 19:27

@starfish762 my husbands not allowed in for the scan, but is goong to drive me to hospital. Last time when I got bad news I had to drive myself home and tell him on the phone which wasn't fun!

Starfish762 · 20/08/2020 19:50

@Workingmama1 Yes I had the exact same experience, 40 min drive from home too 😭 Even though I had a feeling something wasn’t right I didn’t really think that’d be the case. Lesson learned! All you can do this time round is stick together, keep busy, and try stay positive so your thoughts don’t go crazy! Positive vibes for this thread to keep going with the good news like @Sakura54 🧡

Starfish762 · 21/08/2020 06:22

BFN 😢 Oh well, off to see family & friends this weekend so will have a few drinks & try to forget about it all for a while.

Threnody · 21/08/2020 11:44

@Starfish762 sorry for another bfn, still, you're not out until af arrives. Enjoy your weekend! I do feel excited, but also very anxious at the moment.

Oh gosh, @Workingmama1 and @Starfish762, that sounds awful having to drive home. At least I had my oh with me and he drove us.

@Workingmama1 - fx for Monday for you!

Got a positive opk this morning (CD17), so if I follow the pattern of last month, I should ovulate tomorrow I think. Since the mmc my cycles are getting shorter and I'm ovulating earlier - gone from 33 days in May to 28 in July, ov on CD19.

Threnody · 22/08/2020 14:36

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Massive peak on opk this morning, 200% on femometer, and a 5 on premom, another static smiley on cb. Temps up a bit from yesterday, and had cramping today, so think today is ovulation day. Managed to dtd last night even though oh was a bit poorly, don't think we'll manage tonight, but hopefully it's enough to have done the last 4 nights.

Workingmama1 · 24/08/2020 10:09

Did you manage to sneak in an extra dtd @threnody? If not sounds like you were well covered doing it 4 days before your peak.

Hope everyone else is well!

Workingmama1 · 24/08/2020 10:12

My scan went well and I got to see a good heartbeat measuring at 7+2, exactly 2 weeks more than the last time. Still not out of the woods but happy for now. Don't think I'll relax until the 12 week scan but I was so overwhelmed today I just cried!

Threnody · 24/08/2020 10:31

@Workingmama1 that's great news, and a lovely scan pic.
We didn't manage to dtd again, but FF now reckons I ovulated a day earlier so I'm 3dpo, not 2dpo. I don't know if that's right or not - my other three apps say I'm 1dpo.

Starfish762 · 24/08/2020 11:46

Morning all, hope you all had a nice weekend. I had a busy but nice one up North visiting family & friends. 15DPO today but haven’t got any tests so going to hold out buying another one & wait for AF to come, which I’m sure it will after BFN @ 12DPO.

@Workingmama1 so pleased for you, no wonder you cried!

@Threnody I’m sure you caught it, everything crossed for you.

Just saw this on the miscarriage association & thought it may be useful for all the ladies who’ve had their BFP.

Starting TTC again after missed miscarriage part two
Sansa87 · 24/08/2020 14:19

Hi girls.

I had surgical management on 27/07 after a confirmed mmc on 20/07

We haven’t wanted to wait to ttc. Cb had us at peak last Saturday, & we managed three times over the period.

Today is 4 weeks since surgery. I was always very regular beforehand, but I was hoping I’d get extra days as obvs 7days isn’t enough between ov & Af.

No af yet, but I’m getting cramps (I did have this with bfp though) my cervix is high, firm, but feels open, & I think it’s drying up 😔 still a bit of creamy white, though I think I had some pink tinged earlier.

If I was getting 14 days I’d be excited maybe it’s implantation, but I think I just ov’d late and af is going to be 28 days.

I don’t know what the point of typing all of this is, I think deep down I thought it would happen first time, so a little bummed tbh.

WildflowerPetals · 24/08/2020 17:32

Can anyone help me with OPK & BBT? I’ve been tracking mine since CD9 but both my BBT and OPK peaked at the same time on CD14. When I’ve used CB it’s identified my peak on CD16 (before MMC) and CD19 (after MMC). So I’m confused as to why it might have changed to CD14 but also I thought the BBT spike happened after ovulation? I’m currently on CD16 and my line has gone back to being faded 🤷🏻‍♀️

Threnody · 24/08/2020 19:52

@Starfish762 thanks, glad you had a nice weekend!

@Sansa87 sorry for your loss. I think most of us have had our cycles messed up since the mmc. Usually though, luteal phases are pretty consistent, so if you ovulate late af is due late too. If you ovulated last weekend, then it could be implantation. Fx for you.

@WildflowerPetals ovulation doesn't happen at the same time every cycle, mine is usually between CD18-21. You can ovulate on the day of your peak, the day before, or up to 2 days after, and bbt can rise from the day of until 2 days after too (I've been reading a lot about this lately). How are your temps now? How are you tracking them?
