@Poppy10121 I tested again today! Bfn again obviously.

@Workingmama1 OPK was nowhere near peak, but definitely a darkish line. I did last month, 3 days before af showed up, so if it follows that pattern, I guess af may show on Friday, which would at least be a longer luteal phase. Temps are a bit down again, rhr is going down too.

@BeeMakesTea hello, sorry for your losses. Fingers crossed for this cycle for you.

Threnody · 04/08/2020 14:43

Now I have spotting, so I guess that's it - since the MMC I have been getting spotting the day before af, so I will expect it tomorrow as usual.

Starfish762 · 04/08/2020 20:22

@BabyDust13 @Carefree1 @BeeMakesTea sorry for your losses. This is a great group to shout, cry, moan, ask questions & lift each other up ❤️

@Threnody I’ve still got everything crossed for you 🤞🏼

I’m starting CB testing tomorrow on CD9, let’s hope it’s less stressful this cycle 🙈

JoJo58995 · 04/08/2020 20:47

Thank you so much for all your lovely replies to my down days last week, everyone was so supportive and it was so comforting to know I wasn't alone. We finally got let out of lockdown so I spent the weekend seeing my family and my in-laws, feeling MUCH more human again after everything and am feeling more positive (until my hormones kick in again this month no doubt....) AF arrived on time and was really light again but its only really my 2nd one since coming off the pill in December. AF was much heavier before I was on the pill but that was 13 years ago... not sure I can really compare and I've had 2 28 day cycles so hopefully things are finding some form of regularity. Thank you to everyone for just being here, I wish I had found this group sooner! Welcome to the new ladies, I'm so sorry you find yourself here, but we are all here to look after each other, pick each other up when its needed and celebrate the successes 💕
@Poppy10121 and @Workingmama1 I'm so glad to see your lines are progressing. Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞

Workingmama1 · 04/08/2020 21:20

Awww @Threnody sorry you've started spotting, hopefully its not the start of AF.

I stupidly tested today with a one step IC and didn't see the line progression I was expecting. Really put me on a downer but trying to put on my big girl pants as it seems they can be poor for progression and it was diluted not fmu, so trying to put it to the back of my mind and stay positive. NO more testing!

@jojo58995 glad you are feeling more positive, its definitely a journey with ups and downs.

Good luck tomorrow @Starfish762, when is AF due?

Starfish762 · 04/08/2020 22:21

@JoJo58995 so pleased you’re feeling better 😘

@Workingmama1 tomorrow is just the start of CB ovulation testing, AF not due till 28th Aug! Although not holding out much hope for it being regular after an erratic & long cycle just gone!

Threnody · 05/08/2020 08:05

Af is here, feeling quite sad. This is our first failed cycle, and all my efforts made no difference to my luteal length. Oh well. I logged lots of data, and have loads of new symptoms that I'll know not to get excited about next time. And I can see if I can lose these last few pounds to get to a healthy bmi.

@Starfish762 Good luck with the cb testing! I'm in two minds whether to do it again this cycle, it caused me so much confusion last time.

@JoJo58995 glad you're feeling better.

@Workingmama1 yep, step away from the tests!

Starfish762 · 05/08/2020 08:15

@Threnody so sorry, it never gets any less disappointing. But like you say a fresh start & hopefully one more cycle towards being more ‘regular’ - I’ve also been hammering the exercise, all we can do is try everything within our power to help.

I know what you mean about the CB testing, because I had 46 day cycle last time I was so stressed, which in turn probably didn’t help. We agreed we’d do it again this month to hopefully see an improvement, and if it’s another erratic/long cycle DH said we should stop & just DTD every other day. It’s expensive, but the main issue is how obsessive it becomes, really not healthy.

RosieJess91 · 05/08/2020 10:07

I've stopped taking anymore tests, I'm stopping at that final one that was clear as it could be! Don't get me wrong, I keep checking it to make sure I didn't imagine it, but I feel it's healthier to just not think about it and see what happens now. Now I know the lines so much darker, I feel calmer.
Going to keep calm and hope for the best! Might try and get an early scan however. Although both me and the OH have now had dreams about twins 🤦🏼‍♀️ but I think that's just because so many have mentioned it.

Threnody · 05/08/2020 22:40

@Starfish762 thanks. I think I've decided to do the cb again this cycle, but just being aware that last time it was at least three days from peak to ovulation, and trust the cheapie opks more. I am very obsessive about testing and recording everything, and I do get stressed, but I also hate not knowing things. I don't know which is worse!

Husband doesn't understand why I am so sad, as we can try again this month. I am just so worried it's going to take us ages, or we'll get pregnant and I'll have another miscarriage or something, and I'm 41 next month, and I just feel like I'm running out of time.

Workingmama1 · 07/08/2020 11:45

@threnody how are you doing today?

@starfish762 have you started the cb ovulation testing now?

Hope everyone else is doing ok xx

Threnody · 07/08/2020 12:30

@Workingmama1 not too bad, thanks for asking. Back on the dieting/exercising - I've only got 4 pounds to lose to hit my healthy bmi, so I'm focussing on that as a good thing to have more time to get healthier, and I'm crazy busy at work, which helps. I had my appraisal yesterday, and it went really well, so that cheered me up.
How are you doing?

Starfish762 · 08/08/2020 08:10

Hi all, hope everyone’s enjoying the weekend. I woke up with a headache coz of the heat, mental in Essex atm 🥵 Started CB testing last week, today on CD12 got static smiley. Has anyone else had static & no flashing? Last cycle I had flashing from CD15-CD23, static on CD24. The leaflet in the box says it can mean your hormone levels are too low to pick up flashing, or the change in levels happens quickly, just strange as very dif to last time. Hopefully this means my cycle is a bit more ‘normal’ this month 🤞🏼

@Threnody well done on the appraisal, little boosts like that make all the difference.

@PurplePansy05 been thinking about you, hope you’re okay & hope work’s calmed down slightly.

PurplePansy05 · 08/08/2020 08:17

@Starfish762 Heyyyy! Iam SO sorry all, work has been mental and I've not been very well. My UTI hasn't gone away, in fact it got much worse and I've been back & forth to my GP, urine tests, blood tests, you name it. I'm still not 100% right and very disappointed that I had to take a break in my C25K. I feel FAT!!!

AF arrived yesterday too, that's not helping my overall wellbeing with the UTI and 30C heat and to top this off, I'm flying out today to see my family and I am anxious.

So I've stayed out of MN, social media and online space in general because there's been too much going on.

I'm sorry I've not had a chance to keep up with the thread recently. I hope to be back when I'm TTC again. For the time being I saw some lovely glimpses of positive news, congratulations on the BFPs and wishing lots of patience and self-love to all of us still waiting for ours ❤️😘 xxx

Workingmama1 · 08/08/2020 11:22

@threnody congrats on a good appraisal! My director called me out for doing a good job in my team meeting this week and it was really nice!

@starfish762 I'm not sure on the CB ones, I only used femometer, but interestingly despite testing at least twice a day never caught my peak so it must have happened quickly as I got my bfp!

@purplepansy05, sorry the uti is still hanging around, they can make you feel rough. Particularly combined with AF and heat! husband got one after his op as he has a catheter and he was wiped out for a week! It took them to long to get him on antibiotics though because of covid (he had to get a negative test before they would see him!). I hope you have a lovely break seeing your family.

I'm flitting between being ration and trying to be positive and pure fear everytime I get a twinge or additional discharge thinking its blood.

Starfish762 · 09/08/2020 12:00

@PurplePansy05 oh that UTI sounds grim! Really hope it gets sorted soon & they get to the bottom of the reason. Sorry about AF too.

@Workingmama1 that’s promising, thank you 🤞🏼

Poppy10121 · 09/08/2020 12:16

@Starfish762 that sounds positive on the CB test! Fingers crossed things have settled for you now. I used CB tests last month, only got 1 day flashing smiley then static and that’s the month I got my BFP 😊 I hope you have the same luck 🤞🤞

@PurplePansy05 sounds like you’ve had a really tough time 😞 I hope the flight all goes well and you’re able to have a relaxing time with your family!

@Threnody well done on getting so close to your goal weight, that’s amazing especially in lockdown!

Starfish762 · 09/08/2020 12:21

@Poppy10121 oh great, fingers crossed!

@PurplePansy05 I forgot about the holiday, hope the flight went well & the anxiety is gone now you’re with your loved ones. Try to relax & enjoy yourself, you deserve it!

Threnody · 10/08/2020 15:09

How is everyone today?
It is soo hot here!

@Workingmama1 thanks, and well done you!

@Starfish762 I used CB twice now - first time I had flashing smiley for just two days, second time it was for 4 days, I guess it's one of those things that varies. FX for you!

@PurplePansy05 hope you are having a wonderful holiday, and your uti is better.

@Poppy10121 thanks! In some ways it's easier, as I don't get tempted by all the junk food in the shop downstairs from my office!

I did c25k again yesterday, after a 2 week break - I wasn't sure whether I should carry on where I left off, or go back a bit, but carried on with the start of week 6 and just about managed it! Got soo hot though.

Workingmama1 · 10/08/2020 20:13

@threnody hope you're not melting too much in the heat! Im normally complaining about the weather here in the North West but these last few days I've been grateful it hasn't been as hot up here!

Had a bit of a panic today as the intermittent pain I've been getting on my left side got worse, and ended up at epu. Thankfully they scanned me and not ectopic but too early to even see a baby!

WildflowerPetals · 10/08/2020 20:41

Hi all, how is everyone? It was my 1st wedding anniversary yesterday and I’ve just got back from a trip to the Lake District with my husband. It was a lovely relaxing break for us both.

I was hoping this month was going to be my month, I’d been getting boob aches since last week and I don’t usually get them around my period so was feeling hopeful. Took an early pregnancy test the morning we left for the Lakes (Friday), unfortunately it was negative and AF came the day after 😔 This is my 3rd cycle since MMC. I had a yeast infection the day I got my static smiley this month (still managed to DDT that day but didn’t any other time around then) and then the month before it was a super hot week when (I think) I ovulated and neither of us could cope with DDT in that heat 🥵 So I’m hoping I’ve just ovulated at times we’ve not managed to DDT and there’s nothing seriously wrong.

The last two periods I’ve had seem a little longer than I used to have before MMC and the blood also seems a brighter red - has anyone else experienced this?

X

RosieJess91 · 11/08/2020 09:36

@WildflowerPetals the two AF's I had between my MMC, the CP and this new Pregnancy, we're very red, a lot redder than I'm used to and a little bit longer. I've always had very light, very short bleeds, usually 2 to 3 days, but never filling a pad at all. Whereas in May and then July they were both crazy reds. So you're not alone! :)

WildflowerPetals · 11/08/2020 13:55

@RosieJess91 Thanks for your reply, it’s good to know it’s not only me - Mine sound the same as yours before and after 😊 x

Carefree1 · 11/08/2020 14:43

@WildflowerPetals hope you had a lovely break for your wedding anniversary!
My bleeds have also been a lot brighter since MMC and don’t seem to have clots (Sorry TMI) like I used to before.
@Workingmama1 Sorry to hear about the pain, glad you were able to get scanned and confirm not ectopic.

I find it reassuring that there’s so many BFPs now on this thread, it definitely gives me hope.
I find it frustrating that everyone tells you that you’re really fertile after (Including the nurses) - because although it took us a while to fall pregnant initially, I think it gave me some false hope it would happen super quick! With that being said, we’re pausing a bit this cycle as we’re going away in a couple of weeks and wouldn’t want to fall pregnant just before because of the worry. (And also means I can enjoy wine and cheese lol).
Xx

Starfish762 · 11/08/2020 15:54

@Threnody well done for getting back into c25k, not easy in this heat! 🥵 I’ve not exercised since Friday I’m determined to get up early tomorrow before my daughter wakes, but the heat has meant lots of rubbish sleeps so I’ve needed the extra hour in the morning.

@Workingmama1 so pleased not ectopic. How are you feeling/coping?

@WildflowerPetals Happy anniversary! Glad you had a nice time away. Sorry about AF though, it never gets any less dissapointing.

@Carefree1 I also find all the BFP’s reassuring, fx it’s the rest of us soon! I was also led to believe I’d be really fertile & it’d happen quickly, perhaps naive looking back as only 3 months since MVA but I really thought I’d be pregnant by now. My current plan is making lots of lovely plans so I’m ‘not thinking about it’ as much, in the hope it’ll be more likely to happen. If I do get pregnant I dunno how I’ll make my excuses not to go 😂 But if I’m not this cycle if softens the blow & means I can have some drinks with friends etc.
