Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 2

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

See attached my current chart - at 10DPO my RHR is at it's all time high this cycle and has not started to decline for AF yet. Fingers crossed!

@CurlyEmz looks promising! Does yours normally dip before AF?

Can't wait to see more bfps! Think because I've told myself I'm out

CurlyEmz · 08/07/2020 22:48

@meb89 thank you, I definately will. I had a couple of chemicals before so I literally haven't even ordered any tests yet so I don't get tempted.

@SarahTTC2020 yeah every month I get a dip before af, this is last month, I'm normally 13 days for Luteal phase. We'll see, I might test on Friday if nothing by then.

@Moominmiss decided not to test as I think the charts are telling me everything I need to know. Both on a downward trend! Think I'll pack tampons for work today just in case 😂

@meb89 ohh no!! When’s AF due? Im not feeling hopeful at all either. My RHR just doesn’t do anything 😩

@mumof23188 oh your RHR is still up there though? When are you due AF?

My apps are predicting AF 12th but I'm sure it'll be here before then!

mumof23188 · 09/07/2020 09:01

@meb89 yes it’s not dropped yet but just doesn’t look promising to me. I’m not 100 percent sure. I couldn’t confirm ov this month as my OPK’s came late but I had EWCM around CD9 and 10 so I’m guessing the 11th for ovulation. How are you feeling? Any symptoms at all?

CurlyEmz · 09/07/2020 11:36

@meb89 you're still not out yet lovely. Do your charts normally drop off massively before af or is it normally a slow decline?

@mumof23188 your rhr is still higher than before ovulation though. I read that opposite to temping you get a rhr spike at implantation, that chart looks good, I'll keep everything crossed for you!

I had a rise on both again this morning. Trying to keep my head straight about it all. My cycles are between 26 and 31 days so technically could be 1 day late or due af in 4 days. I've attached charts again.

@meb89 that’s really crap. I’ll still hold out some hope for you 🤞🏻

My af is due 13th according my usual 14 day lp.

I’m 11dpo today and my rhr rose again by just 1bpm, but bfn this morning so I will expect af as usual I think.

CurlyEmz · 09/07/2020 11:43

@moominmiss there's still time. I'll keep my fingers crossed. That chart looks good too, it's going back up isnt it? X

Moominmiss · 09/07/2020 11:43

Meant to say that I’ll expect af as usual because although my rhr rose today, it’s still currently only as high as it was when af started last time. So not exactly high, just higher than the stupidly low low lol

Moominmiss · 09/07/2020 11:45

@CurlyEmz if my rhr was today higher than it was when my last af started I’d be more inclined to be positive, but the fact it’s still only at 69 which is when af started last time, I’m thinking unless it rises again after today then I think it’ll flat line at this and af will arrive on time. I know it’s just a waiting game, but coupled with a bfn today I’m not feeling too optimistic.

CurlyEmz · 09/07/2020 11:46

Lol, I know what you mean. I'm a ridiculous optimist so I'll still 🤞 for you!

Moominmiss · 09/07/2020 11:47

@CurlyEmz your chart is looking great though! Are you going to test or hold off? I don’t think I’d be able to resist if I were you! Lol.

Have you had any symptoms?

CurlyEmz · 09/07/2020 11:51

@moominmiss nothing that I would consider pregnancy related, I was extremely dizzy yesterday at very odd times like after eating etc but nothing else really, not even sore or achey boobies.

I'm going to try and hold off but I'm dropping my daughter off at school for an hour to collect all her belongings so I might pop into town and pick up some FRER.

Moominmiss · 09/07/2020 12:09

@CurlyEmz definitely grab some frer!!!

Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you. The dizziness is positive I’d say.

Let us know 🤞🏻

Juno231 · 09/07/2020 12:30

@Moominmiss yours could have been an 8/9 dpo implantation dip maybe? Still looking positive overall!

@CurlyEmz get that FRER and fingers crossed for you!

CD3 here today and RHR has finally dropped back into the 60s at 69. At this rate though I don't think it will have time to drop below 60 before climbing back up again for another OD. So should be an interesting (different) chart for this cycle!

@Moominmiss @CurlyEmz well she arrived as I thought this morning! I'm glad I was prepared and packed supplies for it at work ☹️

I feel much better than I did yesterday, start of a new cycle 🤞🏻

meb89 · 09/07/2020 15:31

@CurlyEmz that chart looks promising! Did you pick up a test? 🤞🏻

@Juno231 I'll be in it with you now CD1 for me 🤦🏻‍♀️

SarahTTC2020 · 09/07/2020 15:49

@meb89 I don't know if it's a good or bad thing that we know a drop over a couple of days means AF is here! At least you were prepped like you said.
New cycle, positive thoughts 🙏

SarahTTC2020 · 09/07/2020 15:50

I think I'm going to see what mine is in the morning, if it's dropped again then I'll definitely expect AF, if it's higher or same then I'm going to test because I just have an urge to poas lol

CurlyEmz · 09/07/2020 15:55

Aww @meb89 that sucks but glad you stocked up and defo fingers crossed for a new month! 😁

Yep got my tests stashed in my handbag so I might wait until Sunday, I'll be cd30 and 17dpo (of course that won't happen, I'll wait till everyone goes out for a walk and I'll stay home and prepare tea 😉).

Oh and short story, I was in boots getting the tests and one of my OH's mates wife was in the queue behind me, I said hi the just went "oh I forgot my deodorant", which i didn't really need and re-joined the queue after she left the shop!!! Why am I still so embarrassed about buying tests?!

SarahTTC2020 · 09/07/2020 15:59

@CurlyEmz I'm embarrassed about getting tests too, so I ordered on Amazon prime 🤣 I've only recently stopped being embarrassed at buying sanitary pads at 32 haha!

Moominmiss · 09/07/2020 16:30

@Juno231 I had hoped that my drop might have been implantation, but then if I did implant at 8 or 9dpo I’d have thought by today 11dpo I’d get at least a faint line on a test. Plus I always thought it was a bad sign of you rhr dropped below your af level.

I don’t know. I’m hoping it’s something, but trying to stay realistic so I won’t be too disappointed.

Be interesting to see what your rhr does this cycle if it’s looking different already this early on! Maybe different will mean lucky for you 🤞🏻

Ahh @meb89 I’m sorry af got you but definitely good that you were prepared for it. Being caught off guard when you’re not at hone is the worst. I tend to find once I’m over the initial realisation that af has turned up I then quite quickly move to being positive about the start of a new cycle and then just impatient to get to my fertile window! Lol. Ttc is definitely a never ending period of wishing time away for various reasons!

Ooooh @CurlyEmz I’m excited for you to test!!! Fingers crossed. I tested when I got home from work again just now. Waiting on a batch of cheapies to arrive from eBay (should arrive later today), so all I had left to use was a Superdrug own test. I know they’re crap and always give false positives etc and I got a not bad evap on it 😂 don’t know why I bothered. I know they aren’t reliable. Is it really pathetic that even though I know it’s an evap it was still nice to see the 2 lines 🙈

mumof23188 · 09/07/2020 20:35

@CurlyEmz yes no drop yet but AF is still between 10 and 7 days away. So not looking great as there’s been no big rise that I’ve seen from other charts 😩. Yours however looks really promising! When are you going to test? I get all embarrassed buying tests aswell 🤣

@meb89 ahh sorry AF came. Good you were prepared for work! Did you have a big drop?

@Moominmiss fingers crossed for you. Your chart still looks great.

@Juno231 hope you are well. 🤞 for this cycle!
