Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 2

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

See attached my current chart - at 10DPO my RHR is at it's all time high this cycle and has not started to decline for AF yet. Fingers crossed!

@LV1987 So sorry AF got you but like you say, good that your chart is following a pattern so you have something to compare to next time!

@LV1987 that's one cycle closer to a BFP! I love your chart, it's very pleasingly textbook :)

Evening, how is everyone? Got my swab results back from the doctors and apparently I have thrush so have to do use the pessary and cream. So strange as I've not got any symptoms other that sex being uncomfortable the other day! Strange 🤷🏻‍♀️

CD6 today and started using my CBFM again today. So interesting to see my RHR rise after AF!

@mrswilso Thank you, it was such a relief that his sperm is normal. Glad you're staying positive. I really like the reassurance of the OPKs too.

@Juno231 thank you! Definitely really good to get the ball rolling! Yeah I have had the 3 and 21 day blood tests done already and they came back normal too.

@Ltay2 that looks very promising! I got my BFP on Monday and this is how mine looks now. Also had absolutely zero symptoms. Although now been wide awake since 5 feeling a bit icky. Thought my boobs would be sore though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Anyway good for you for holding off testing, last month I was like a mad man testing every day for about 4 days before AF was due and they were all white as a sheet so this time I held off till the day before -when I had the faint line I was 😱

Ugh...think this might be me going out 🙄 yesterday I had the worst migraine so not sure if that's what raised my HR by one but back down to 65 today. AF due tomorrow or sat but not really feeling like it's coming but could just be wishful thinking. Anytime in the past my HR has dropped by even 1bpm it usually means the witch is on her way 😩

HR up again today, 12DPO. Had an urge to test so peed quickly to get it out the way then I knew I couldn't use FMU 🙊 had some AF like cramps this morning so would rather wait and see if I get any spotting today or tomorrow and still test on Saturday. I think at this stage seeing a bit of spotting will let me down gently rather than seeing the BFN.

I'm thinking I maybe didn't O when I thought I did, as my HR is starting to climb. The cat is turning into a bat 😂 also got a fair bit of EWCM on Tuesday and a little yesterday as well and I can't say I usually see much EWCM at all

@Ltay2 I ovulated earlier in the month after my CP too. I put it down to my body resetting itself.

@HansBanans oooh ewcm def sounds like O-day potentially is today? I tend to have the most ewcm 2 days before OD. Love the bat!

@ltay2 lol you're nuts - at this point I reckon your SMU would give you a line too!

@Juno231 yeah that's what I'm thinking as well! Don't know why it's so delayed though as that now means AF will be due about 8-10 days later than expected!

@Juno231 I know it makes me sound crazy but I'm scared to test in case it's a BFN, I'd rather just stay in my quietly confident oblivious little bubble 😂

I'm looking for some opinions.
I'm CD5 today, had a light period at 11/12/13dpo which I'm almost positive was AF (didn't doubt it at the time!) but I've had a peak OPK this morning...stronger than control.
Last month I got my peak CD16 so I'm sure this is waaay to early for ovulation, I'm gonna do a FRER when I get home from work just to put my mind at rest but got a negative on cheapie strips on 11dpo before the spotting/bleeding started and my RHR says no...
AF is marked in red on my chart.

@mrswilso let us know how you get on... I promise myself I won't second guess AF every month and ALWAYS do. Yesterday she got me, but just spotting until late evening when there was more flow to it - today just spotting again! The fact that I just proper cried my heart out because I bit my tongue while trying to eat cheese and crackers because it's the only thing I can stomach is also making me second guess 😑 I am most likely just not used to what hormones do to me though, because non-period, non-lockdown me is a lawyer, and you don't get much more rational/logical than that 😂🤦‍♀️

@Fran2020 that’s great everything was good with OH swimmers. How strange having thrush with no symptoms! Atleast you know and can treat it.

CD10 for me. I’m at the boring part!! I’m wondering if this hot weather will affect our RHR?

@mumof23188 All good here thanks, so happy about his sperm! Really strange but glad it's something which can be treated easily! I don't think the hot weather affected my RHR too much last time it was so hot. 🤔 what day do you usually ovulate on?

@mumof23188 @Fran2020 Hopefully! Nothing to report, still no spotting or anything negative. Just noticed some of my apps have changed ovulation to CD15 rather than 14 so I might be 11DPO rather than 12 but other than that nothing 😂 very nearly tested when I got home from work, got as far as peeing in the cup and then noticed it was soooo diluted (only an hour hold) so didn't want to disappoint myself and tipped it away! Will test in the morning if still no AF signs!

@Fran2020 it’s brilliant news for you both. Have you had anymore tests? What’s the next steps for you? Very strange but Atleast you haven’t had any of the awful symptoms it brings! No that’s true, mine didn’t really either. Used to be around CD10 but I think breastfeeding may have changed things for me. What CD you on now?

@lv1987 this was actually the first month of trying that I really just fully accepted it when AF showed up! I was 100% convinced it was AF so I’m annoyed that this had thrown me off a bit!
I tested LH again this evening and got another strong peak but got bfn on a cheap HCG strip (I’m so determined not to waste any more FRERs 😂) so combining that with my RHR I’m gonna assume AF was definitely AF...and now I can move onto worrying about how early this peak is...🤣 there’s always something else to think about with this TTC nonsense 🤣
I thought I was bad enough emotionally ON the contraceptives...jeez I was not prepared for real hormones after 14 years of freedom haha! I’m a riot! 🤣😭

@mumof23188 I have to wait for the letter from the hospital about my scan appointment and something from the doctors about booking in at the fertility clinic. So a little bit of waiting now! 😬 I know, so glad I don't have the itching!! Ahhh ok, see what happens then! I'm CD7 and seem to ovulate around CD12/13.

AF due today, but BFN, heart rate has stayed high though but maybe I'm just having an odd month!
Least I can have a wee drink for my birthday tonight 😂

Tested this morning on IC, BFN. Stark white. But HR now gone up another 2bpm 🤔 12/13DPO today.

@Ltay2 have you got a FRER? I'd definitely test again tomorrow cos that looks promising! 🤞🏻✨

@mrswilso I don't have any but I'm thinking if my cramps subside and I have no spotting by the end of the work day then I'll stop at boots on the way home!
