Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 2

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

See attached my current chart - at 10DPO my RHR is at it's all time high this cycle and has not started to decline for AF yet. Fingers crossed!

@Alicespring oh my goodness I can't wait to see your line in the next couple of days! Thurs should be strong enough to be properly visible I reckon?

My RHR is on its second day of 69. Will attach a chart once it looks like it's doing something. Thing is I don't envisage it going up in my LP as it was really high to start with due to alcohol - but I guess it'll still show me a drop for AF so that's what I'll look out for next week :) I'm 11 DPO on the 6th so I think I'll test then. That's assuming my temps play ball and don't show me it's been an anovulatory cycle!

@Juno231
My Fitbit has just readjusted itself and gone back to 65 so I'm not really sure what is going on now 😂

Fingers crossed it's not an anovulation month for you 🤞

chrissagcat · 28/07/2020 11:26

Second pee of the day. Don't think there is any denying this! And husband finally said yes looks like you are pregnant! Phew!

Yes @chrissagcat!!!

Alicespring · 28/07/2020 11:45

@chrissagcat

Congratulations!

HansBanans · 28/07/2020 11:49

Hi, hope it is ok to join. I've never really looked at my RHR before but had a look at the Fitbit app just now. AF is due 03/08 but my RHR is all over the place. Can anyone help?

@HansBanans

Everyone is different but the pattern seems to be up after ovulation and can fluctuate during that time them down again for AF which yours looks like it's doing

HansBanans · 28/07/2020 12:04

@Alicespring ah ok, thank you 😊

Juno231 · 28/07/2020 12:09

@HansBanans haha I love that your pattern is a cat!! I'm afraid by looking at that chart I'd almost think AF would be coming early for you this month due to the plummeting RHR. Welcome though!

@Juno231 well that's what made me want to ask because it just looked so odd 😂 that's fine, I'm new to all this so at least it gives me an idea of what to look out for 😊

2alreadywantanother · 28/07/2020 17:51

Oh wow @chrissagcat congrats xx great news

chrissagcat · 28/07/2020 19:43

@HansBanans I'd say the same as @Juno231 it looks to be AF could be round the corner?

It's a perfect cat!

HansBanans · 28/07/2020 20:15

@chrissagcat ok, thank you. And congrats on your BFP!

I know, I can't believe how much it looks like a cat 😂

chrissagcat · 28/07/2020 20:32

Thank you! Still in disbelief

mrswilso · 28/07/2020 20:38

Aaah @chrissagcat that's a definite line!! 🤩 congratulations! ✨💕

Fran2020 · 28/07/2020 21:46

How is everyone? My partners sperm analysis came back as normal. I was at the doctor who did some swabs and looked at my cervix. She's referring me for a scan and to the fertility clinic. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@mrswilso sorry AF arrived for you. Good luck for your new cycle!

@mumof23188 Thank you!

@chrissagcat Congratulations!! Lovely news!

mrswilso · 28/07/2020 22:17

Thanks @Fran2020 😘 glad to hear all's well with your Mr - hope everything goes well with your scan soon too.
CD3 and doing good - staying positive and just keeping on with making sure I'm eating well. Definitely sticking with OPK now that I've started - I love the reassurance it's giving me, it really helped me to relax last cycle and I took it much better emotionally when AF turned up this time too 😌 highly recommend it if anyone's just starting out TTC and wondering whether or not to jump into the world of peeing in a cup on the regular 🤣

Juno231 · 29/07/2020 09:14

@Fran2020 I'm glad the SA came back clean and that the docs are getting the ball rolling for you! Does that mean that you've had your day 3 and 21 tests done previously already?

@mrswilso I wholeheartedly agree. If I hadn't been using OPKs I wouldn't have had a snowball's chance in hell to conceive. Saying that, I've felt the same relief adding BBT to my tracking!

Here's my chart at 3DPO, I've marked my ovulation date on it. Am on my third day of 69 🤷‍♀️

RHR up another 2bpm today at 11DPO 😬🤞🏼 very nearly tested this morning but I was in a rush so decided not to, trying to hold on to Saturday when I'll be 14DPO!

@Ltay2 I don't get how you do it! I'd have peed on that stick already :D
Sounds very much like you'll be getting a strong line this weekend!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all well, I'm back for advice! Dunno if you remember but I had a long cycle after a CP in May, lasted 56 days, AF finally came last week on Tuesday so on CD9 today, I've felt a bit odd the last couple of days, just not 100% and a bit queasy, anyway, decided to do an OPK just for the fun of it and as you can see in the pic it's very high, 2% off from being classed as "peak" on femometer, also my RHR has increased by 2bpm today too (I think I last ovulated on the 7th July which you can see on my Fitbit my RHR starts to increase then too! do you think I could have potentially ovulated already or about to? Even though I'm only on CD9, is that bad? My cycles are usually regular around 28/30 days, I've never tracked ovulation before so no idea what's normal for me! Could it just be they're a bit all over the place at the moment? Any one have any bright ideas?

SarahTTC2020 · 29/07/2020 10:39

@sle0911 definitely be DTD just in case as looks like positive OPKs even if it is early

My chart is fucked this month because I've drunk too much alcohol 🙈 might lay off it for a bit as cd19 and haven't got into fw yet so chance for my chart to settle to normal

sle0911 · 29/07/2020 10:46

Thanks @SarahTTC2020, bit of a funny one though as we decided to stop TTC now due to our abroad wedding next August, we have DTD twice last past couple of days naively thinking I won't be ovulating yet so won't matter 😱. Obviously if I do end up getting a BFP il be over the moon and will make it work for the wedding (already worked it out that a baby would be around 3-4 months old) but I'm just worrying about something going wrong or not recovering quick enough etc etc, for example my friend recently had a baby and had complications and he was in hospital for his first 6 months 😩

Ltay2 · 29/07/2020 11:00

@Juno231 I hope so! I'm trying to not convince myself I am pregnant to save my hopes being dashed but it's so strange how everything seems to be aligning this cycle! No symptoms though. If I do get BFP I honestly won't believe it! I've always felt like it'll never happen for me, no real reason as to why not but just that I always felt that I wouldn't have it easy!

LV1987 · 29/07/2020 11:15

AF got me today - pretty text book chart this month, so that's nice! Ovulation/Peak OPK was on the 14th. Onwards to cycle 7!
