Hey @PlanBea , and everyone!
Doing ok - CD19 here (4 or 5 DPO) and first month ‘following’ SMEP however we didn’t start DTD every other day until CD9 and then Hub struggled with the 3 days in a row thing (he’s only been back at work for 3 weeks in a very physical job so has been unusually tired...makes it more frustrating that we didn’t conceive in the 3 cycles that he was at home!). We managed though, but didn’t do the extra ‘just in case’ time as he was just too exhausted! Roll on when we don’t have to be following a time sensitive formula!
I had a similar meltdown to you, PlanBea. I saw a video of a surprise baby shower for one of my old friends...a few of us who were at school together, a long time ago I might add, had started TTC around the same time last year (all of them for #2, just me for #1)...anyway, I didn’t know she was pregnant and it hit pretty hard that it must’ve happened quickly for them.
Also, my dad, bless him, sent a scan pic to family group chat, his best friend’s daughter’s pic. They are significantly younger than us and been married longer and it was totally expected but still felt so sad at how excited my dad is to be ‘great uncle’ and how much he’d love to be ‘Grandad‘!
Was starting to really feel like I’m failing at this!
But, I managed to shake it off and just look for positives! Our wedding anniversary soon too so first dinner out and hotel stay booked
after 4 months of doing nothing!
Cannot wait to read good news on here - and glad that we have this forum to vent and support each other
