@Homassy that looks like a line to me. I understand your worries as I've had the same. The way I've tried to look at it is a line is better than no line, so I try to be happy in that moment.

Happyhappy37 · 16/07/2020 10:43

Morning all
I can see a line @Homassy

Muda · 16/07/2020 10:53

I was just wondering if you guys stop dtd after you’re pretty sure you’ve ovulated (got peak results, ewcm etc) or do you carry on for the rest of the month just in case?

kwastell · 16/07/2020 10:57

@Muda I usually stop. But looks like I ovulated late this month so have messed that up? Got a peak at the usual time but looks like I didn't actually ovulate. Luckily we did it on 2 days that I think we're just after the late ovulation.

So I would say carry on if you have the energy!

kwastell · 16/07/2020 10:58

*were not we're 🙈

mouldygrapes · 16/07/2020 11:57

Looks promising @Homassy

I am 8 dpo and driving myself mad. Can’t tell if boobs are sore or just cos I keep prodding them!

Homassy · 16/07/2020 12:17

@muda I used to stop but recently carried on for a few days and had a later more convincing peak. It might be worth testing for a few more days after peak perhaps just for one month ? @kwastell I love that saying thanks

Muda · 16/07/2020 12:28

@kwastell @Homassy thanks. I think I ovulated earlier than I thought I was going to so I have missed dtd in the build up to ovulation which is annoying and have worried I’ve missed my chance this month. I did it the few days of and after I think I ovulated but just not sure if I should carry on until closer to when af is due?

FridaKFangirl · 16/07/2020 13:25

Ok, so I’m 14DPO, AF due tomorrow. I may end up having wine tonight after a truly awful week.

I’ve just realised I’ve not peed for 5 hours, would it be silly to POAS a day early with second urine? Is it just a waste of a test? Only symptoms is mild cramps, I assume AF but they feel different to normal.

Feel like BFN will upset me and I’ll kick myself for a test wasted if AF then turns up on cue...

FridaKFangirl · 16/07/2020 13:31

Ooh sorry @Homassy! Congratulations, that’s looking hopeful x

Muda · 16/07/2020 13:33

@FridaKFangirl I would wait until your af is missed if you can bring yourself to hold off!
Enjoy a glass of wine tonight x

FridaKFangirl · 16/07/2020 13:35

I think you’re right @Muda. If it turns out I am, one glass won’t make much difference at this stage I assume.

Happyhappy37 · 16/07/2020 13:44

Keeping my fingers crossed for you @FridaKFangirl

Muda · 16/07/2020 13:45

@FridaKFangirl it’s really hard but we can’t put our lives completely on hold otherwise you won’t end up having any enjoyment.

FridaKFangirl · 16/07/2020 13:54

Thank you @Happyhappy37 and @Muda x

selina37 · 16/07/2020 16:48

@Homassy That looks promising! 🤗

selina37 · 16/07/2020 16:51

Quick questions ladies: if your period lasts longer than usual... do you find you ovulate slightly later?

I'm still spotting VERY slightly, I'm usually totally done by now.

LT103 · 16/07/2020 16:53

@Homassy that looks promising. I understand your worries just now. I got a line early last cycle and followed it up with a bfn which was so frustrating. Yours def has a line tho so I really hope you get your bfp!!! Are you testing again tomorrow?

ChicaXS · 16/07/2020 17:42

Hey ladies

Hope your all doing well! Wishing you all lots of blessings and good luck. Hope you get a BFP tomorrow @FridaKFangirl !

I’m currently now researching ivf clinics - May switch from create since they are more expensive then I would like! Looking to use access fertility too.

Have a lovely evening everyone x

Wavesandsmilesagain · 16/07/2020 18:30

Fingers crossed for you @Homassy and for all nearing testing time. Ages for me to wait (first days of August), but a trip on a canal boat the weekend before to hopefully distract me!

Bit of advice needed... would it be outrageous to consider a new job while ttc? Conscious at my age it could never happen despite our efforts, but it still could....

Basically I was approached by an agency a few weeks ago and decided just for the sake of it to apply. I had a first interview on Monday and heard today that they think I’m perfect and the only candidate of all seen in 3 months that they’d like to take to final interview stage. I love my current job but there is major restructuring underway and no one can be really certain what the future holds. The two outcomes for me are either redundancy or a much bigger role (same pay). The company that wants me for final interview would be offering a much much bigger salary (nearly 40% increase) although less flexibility and of course a probation period. I’m also on about 4 months notice. I am absolutely torn in part because I love my job and the new role would take me to a very different culture, although one they’d like me to help transform... and of course IF we manage to actually make a baby, then the timing is very bad. Since I got the news this afternoon about the final interview I’ve not been able to stop thinking about all the potential consequences 🤦‍♀️

Homassy · 16/07/2020 19:13

Thanks everyone and @LT103 I was sorry to read your outcome Flowers I think it may go the same way for me tbh. Time will tell and will update with an frer.

Happyhappy37 · 16/07/2020 19:21

@Wavesandsmilesagain I don't think it would be outrageous to consider a new job while TTC. I recently applied for one too.
However, you have probably put pen to paper and list all the pros and cons of your current job and the new one. 40% salary increase sounds lovely 🙂. It's a tough one. That's my advice. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

LT103 · 16/07/2020 19:23

@Homassy no fingers crossed for a good outcome for you

lucieloos · 16/07/2020 19:58

@Homassy I see the line! Wishing you lots of luck with your frer tomorrow.

@Wavesandsmilesagain I would take the job. You can't put it off just because you are ttc you don't know what will happen with that and then you will kick yourself for not taking the job. If you do conceive and have taken the job well these things happen but I try to just live in the moment rather than think of things that may or may not happen.

@Loladoodle you sound like you are doing amazingly well this month! It's cd11 for me today and negative opk. We haven't dtd yet this cycle and I'm not too bothered really. We went away for a week last week and it was so nice. We played on the beach and built sandcastles and splashed in our hot tub and just had a really great time and it did get me thinking if I had a newborn now then things would be so much harder again and part of me may be starting to accept that actually we are in a really good position with 2 children. I still yearn the pregnancy and newborn thing but then maybe that's just natural.

Dh has an operation next month. It's to rectify a narrowing of his urethra and when I looked it up it can cause male infertility issues too so maybe that has been the root of our problem. I don't think we will be able to try next month because of the op but I'm thinking try for a little while longer after that just to see if it makes any difference and then maybe stop around Christmas time. I never really wanted children over 40 nothing wrong with it but just personal preference and if I were to conceive in the latter half of this year I would be 42 by the time I gave birth so I just feel like there needs to be an end point soon. I'm just focusing on all the great things we can do as a family of 4 and I am sad to start leaving the baby years behind but it does open up new opportunities too.

kwastell · 16/07/2020 20:09

@Wavesandsmilesagain Definitely go for the job. I've nearly turned down 2 jobs, one because I was ttc and the other because I got a bfp. I ended up having miscarriages so did the right thing to go ahead. You just never know what's going to happen (I hope not that though).

Although maternity pay is an issue if you start a new job and then find out you're pregnant.
