The doctor rang him early, but is going to ring him back in a bit.

Apparently he had an undescended testicle when he was a baby (which I'm.not sure I was aware of 😂 or if I was, I hadn't realised it could be an issue) which apparently makes him at higher risk of infertility 😢) They want to book him in for sperm analysis and bloods. Doc is ringing back to sort that out.

Happyhappy37 · 15/07/2020 16:27

@claireb707 oh dear, let's hope and pray it doesn't affect is fertility. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Happyhappy37 · 15/07/2020 16:31

@shinylovesshoes you are taking quite a bit. Let's hope they prove to be effective for your upcoming cycle. 🙏🏽
🤞🏾 Crossed you

selina37 · 15/07/2020 17:19

@Happyhappy37 fantastic! Thank you 😘

Do you know where to get red raspberry leaf tea? I got some but it's a bit of a mix, not pure red raspberry leaf. Xxx

Happyhappy37 · 15/07/2020 17:31

I used get mine from the vegan shop or Holland and Barrett @selina37

FridaKFangirl · 15/07/2020 17:37

Hi all, CD 25, 13 DPO. I’ve got a weird feeling/very mild cramps around my uterus that I assume may be AF due on Friday..Oh well we’ll see

EmeraldLily18 · 15/07/2020 17:52

@claireb707
It’s really interesting that you’ve said that about an undescended testicle because, after us trying for #1 over a year, my husband reminded me last month that he had this as a baby (I noticed a scar early in our relationship and he told me about it but it hasn’t crossed my mind again since)!
He was due to have sperm analysis at the end of March but it was cancelled due to lockdown and I have no idea now when that could happen. It would at least give us an explanation as I am definitely ovulating between CD12 and CD15 every cycle, and our general DTD timing is pretty spot on.
I have had issues with hormones (underactive thyroid and also been on roaccutane for acne about 4 years ago) so always just assumed it was me but, maybe not!

I’ve just done a little bit of reading on NHS website etc and, it seems if the testes were ‘corrected’ as early as possible (before boys are a year old), there’s a better chance of fertility being fine.
Guess what I’m asking hubby as soon as he gets home from work?!

I’m on CD10 at the moment so heading into my fertile peak - cross everything for this being our month ladies! Cycle #14 🤞🏼

claireb707 · 15/07/2020 18:15

So apparently he had told me ☺️ he had it corrected at 2, can't remember now whether it was one or both. Reading up on it it should be corrected by 18 months at the latest to not affect fertility so there is a chance it has 😢

The doc rang him back, he can collect his pot from the surgery from tomorrow and then he has to drop it off at the clinic mon, wed or fridays between 8.30 and 2 but within an hour of generating the sample. Unfortunately he is now back at work and works 6.30-3 😩 so he is going to have to take a half day to do it.

claireb707 · 15/07/2020 18:17

Oh and @EmeraldLily18 might be worth checking your clinic, ours reopened for SA from the 22nd may (annoying we could have had it done by now if he'd just rang the docs as he only went back to work last week)

Happyhappy37 · 15/07/2020 18:33

@FridaKFangirl 🤞🏾 Crossed for you Hun. I am 11dpo CD23. AF due tomorrow.

Hayley19835 · 15/07/2020 19:25

@claireb707 just been reading your comments on retained testicles my OH had this also and had surgery to correct his but he was over 18months. He's got a low count and now we are having further investigation into whether this is causing his issue. His ultrasound he's just had showed the scar tissue but the guy didn't say much as to if this is causing problems we have to wait until our next fertility apt in August to find out. We also had the getting the sample to the clinic issue our local clinic for testing is half an hours drive away que me putting it in my pocket and racing it up there! X

Our clinic is half an hour away too and I'm working from home but there's still no chance of me getting it to the clinic as they don't open till 8 and he leaves for work at 5.45 😩

Trying to work out if we can wait till the 31st as we have the day off (but I'm due to ovulate around the 27th and think it's no sex 7 days before sample) or he takes a half day next week

lastditchattempt20 · 15/07/2020 21:15

@Loladoodle I'm so impressed at your restraint! I'm just getting to end of FW, will see how well I stick to my no early test plan!

Hayley19835 · 15/07/2020 21:21

@claireb707 yea they told us the 7 days thing we did it when AF was here so we didn't waste a good sample 😂

Hayley19835 · 15/07/2020 21:22

EmeraldLily18 · 16/07/2020 07:20

@claireb707 @Hayley19835

So, I asked him last night, and he thinks the correction was done when he was 4 😱😭
To be sure, I’d need to ask his mum but not really sure how I broach that subject! They know we are trying but not sure I want to talk to my MIL about her son’s anatomy!

This could definitely be the factor that’s causing things to take so long, I just wish the penny had dropped (like his balls!) at the start of the year when we were at the doctor! May have moved things along much more quickly!
Oh, well. We’ll just need to make another appointment and hope that we will be prioritised since his SA was cancelled.
We are in a similar position, about 25mins from the clinic but they only open on Thursday mornings! So he will need to take a few hours off work once we get it rescheduled!

I’m so glad we’re not alone here, this whole baby thing has been much more difficult than I’d imagined at 35!
Best of luck to you, we just need one healthy little swimmer! 🤞🏼

Hayley19835 · 16/07/2020 07:29

@EmeraldLily18 I'm in the same situation he had no clue and could just remember his Grandad recording the A Team for him cos he was in hospital 🤦🏼‍♀️ Men! so had to ask his mum luckily we are close so wasn't too much of an awkward convo but I think this could be affecting us now. He already has an 18year old from another relationship but this is #1 for me. Hope you can get you apt soon and get some answers it's such an emotional rollercoaster of a process. Your defo not alone x

claireb707 · 16/07/2020 08:31

@EmeraldLily18 get him to ask his mum, no way should you be doing that lol

Homassy · 16/07/2020 08:49

Selfish post alert. I think I’m day 10 or 11 DPO and feeling sick. It’s pink in real life. I don’t have any other types of test to hand... what do we think ...

Muda · 16/07/2020 08:57

@Homassy I can see a line! X

Homassy · 16/07/2020 09:01

Thanks @muda I’m trying very hard not to overthink it. The odds are rather against me. Can’t help feeling quite churned up!! One day at a time x

Loladoodle · 16/07/2020 09:02

@Homassy wow def looks positive to me! Congratulations 🥳 will you get another test today to confirm?

@lastditchattempt20 I know I don’t know what’s got in to me but hoping it lasts. Might be due to a lot going on with work and a few other projects keeping me busy but I felt yest was ovulation day and I didn’t even dtd! I was tired and just thought no I’m going to stick with doing it when I am in the mood to enjoy it! Feeling much less pressure and obsession which is good- long may it last! Good luck with the no early testing 🤞

Loladoodle · 16/07/2020 09:05

@lucieloos how are you doing?

Homassy · 16/07/2020 09:18

Hi @loladoodle, I've ordered FRER on prime so should be able to test again tomorrow.

I've had chemicals/miscarriage in the past but somehow this cycle I just ended up testing early. I'm realistic (self protection!) about chances of this little smudge on test = a baby in 9 months but will just have to be patient and sensible.

A few others were testing around this time. Fingers are crossed xx

Muda · 16/07/2020 09:44

@Homassy I totally understand the worry. I had an early miscarriage in May and would be feeling the exact same. But like you say take it one day at a time and I really hope this is the one!
Let us know how you get on with FRER toMorrow
