On DPO 1 today and sounds like a few of us will be testing around the same time. I will really try and hold out and not test early as the stats are heartbreaking for early loss age 40 but temptation will no doubt get the better of me.

@Homassy I'm on DPO1 today too. Thankfully, I'm more disciplined than I used to be. I probably won't test until DPO10 - if I do at all. It's too depressing getting a negative result so I'd rather wait until I'm close to my next cycle so there isn't so long to start again, if necessary. But I'll always be hopeful. What else can we be?

Yeah I have no idea what is happening. I didn’t get my hopes up yesterday as was still spotting a bit and it was so faint so Its not completely unexpected. I fee more like af is going to come now tho so I don’t hold out much hope for this cycle. Will see what happens

Can anyone give me the idots guide to ovulation testing please? Should I be temping or just LH tests or what?
Which should I buy? Feeling a little maxed out (which certainly isn't going to help!)

Hi hope it's ok to join in on this thread I'm 36
TTC#1 since December 17. Had a miscarriage December 18 at 7 weeks. Currently under local fertility clinic for treatment. All my results have come back normal bar a high FSH had that retested this cycle. OH is 42 has an 18 year old daughter from a previous relationship and now has a low count at 3.1mill. He's having a ultrasound and genetic bloods this Friday. I never give up hope I'll see that BFP again x

Hi @selina37 thanks for your reply . Oh yes it really is frustrating wondering when it will finally happen.
We have tried pre seed a couple of times too but like you say it can be a bit messy
I did try the pillow under my lower back after dtd this cycle as iv heard that can help but who knows lol
What cycle day are you on? Fingers crossed for you those are good signs.

Hi @Hayley19835 looks like we are same age, I'm also ttc#1 and for just over a year now. Fingers crossed we get that bfp soon!

It’s so weird because, when I read your post, I could’ve been reading my story! I am 35, TTC #1 and now on cycle 14 (AF arrived on Sunday morning after I got my hopes up and, for the first time, bought Clear Blue digital tests, usually I’m on cheapies!).

I also got blood tests in January, all ‘normal‘ and confirmed I had ovulated...I have also had peaks on OPKs for last 7 cycles and am very regular at 28 days.
Hubby was due to go for sperm analysis two days after lockdown was announced so we are still waiting for that to be rescheduled...I had hoped that less work stress, far more time together and better sleep patterns might result in a BFP during lockdown but no such luck.

I have just ordered my next box of his and hers conception supplements, will try a ‘preseed’ type lube for the first time and try to lie down for as long as poss after DTD. Every little helps!

I would love to know now if it’s a simple ‘fix’ that’s preventing us for conceiving or if there is more to it. I have had thyroid issues since I was a teenager but generally well controlled and hubby has Crohn’s but also well controlled so I don’t see how these things could be the problem.

Hi @Loll35 it's nice to have people of the same age to talk to going through the same thing. The fertility clinic told I'm probably pre menopausal after my first FSH test so that threw me massively I'm 36 that's still relatively young in my eyes lol! Wishing you all the luck x

Sorry I've been a little quiet lately. Congrats on the BFPs and welcome to the newbies.

Still trying here, but got bad news from my blood test results as FSH is high! We are going to keep trying until the end of the year, and if it hasn't happened by then, we will accept that it probably won't. Doing lots of things to try and improve egg quality until then though.
@Hayley19835 sorry to hear your FSH is high too, especially as you are only 36. Do you have a clinic that specializes is women with high FSH?

@Posy1 not that I'm aware of, they have retested me this cycle and my next clinic apt is August so will find out more then. What sort of things have you been doing to improve egg quality? How high are your levels if you don't mind me asking x

I think I ovulate late on in my cycle but have started testing today day 8. Hope I dont run out of sticks. So expensive xx

@Hayley19835 I've started to take the supplement recommendations in the 'it starts with the egg' book. I've reduced caffeine, alcohol, sugar and carbs. Although its my OHs 40th next week, so will prob have a drink or two then. I'm doing a bit of yoga when I can too.

My FSH was 19 and LH was 9, but I'm still having regular cycles, so not losing hope yet. What were your levels? There is a group on Facebook called 'High FSH and TTC support' which is full of people in similar situations. X

@Posy1 I've done the same bar the yoga bit. My levels were FSH 18 and LH 4.2 but I went on cycle day 3 I was told to retest on day 2 which I've done this cycle so will see what these come back as. Also having a regular cycle too. I'll have a look at the FB group always on the look out for any tips x

I'm 9dpo today and last night my boobs felt really uncomfortable, not sore as such but tender and I couldn't lie on my front or one one side with my arm.on top of them. And like I needed to wear a bra. They never normally feel like that before period so am hoping it's a good sign and I'm not going to be disappointed again.

It's my birthday (41 Oh joy) today and his was Friday, I really hope we get a belated present 🤞

Well I'm spotting AGAIN! 😔 same as last month, cd21, lots of bright red when I've just been to the loo. Floods of tears again. Thought I was doing well. Had three days of cramping now and finishing with this 😒 😔 so disheartened by it. Can't even have a little hope towards the end of the TWW

@Fizzy13 I use the easy@home brand. I test in my fertile window according to app, However, I tend to have ovulation pain on said day. Don't know anything about charting or tempting. Good luck to you 🙂

Femometer has decided to weigh in on the puzzle too. It says the LH surge and BBT are at odds and when that happens it goes with temps and decided it was the day the donor came round. It's cool to get a cover line and all though. I think it was a fall back rise pattern so I didn't see it til later.

The little bit of soy on cd 5-9 pushed it back a bit to cd14. Hope that means a good lining and I hope it's a good egg. fx

Does anyone else have a problem with jealousy of friends and family getting pregnant? How do you deal with it?

My closest friend found out she was pregnant at the same time as me last month. She had only just started trying not to get pregnant (not properly trying). I can barely speak to her now. It's happened with a few other people too along the way. Also managing people at work who are pregnant or who's partners are having babies. I want to be happy for them, but am angry which isn't fair on them.

For some reason I feel happy for people on here when they get positives and others I know who have had fertility problems. But struggle to feel the same for people who haven't.

Really don't want to turn bitter, so I need to try to deal with it.
