@lucieloos we will stay positive for this duration as much as possible! Miracles happen every day 💫 I think I’m going to go for the relaxed approach this month... no tracking, dtd only when I feel in the mood and no early poas... this sounds amazing in theory doesn’t it 🤩 however you know me better than that 🤪 but I will at least try...

lucieloos · 06/07/2020 17:01

@Loladoodle yes I'm tempted with that approach too. Obviously I know roughly when I ovulate so will try and time it around those sort of days being as we probably won't do it a lot outside of that time but maybe I will lay off the opks and just do a couple of every other days and then a couple of days in a row and see how that goes. The not testing early would be amazing but I also find it very hard 😂

Homassy · 06/07/2020 17:26

Ooh, congratulations @LT103 @Dipsy77. That's lovely news.

Pelvic pain here, I suspect ovulation at last! Got in a fair bit of DTD, last time was last night. Not sure I can face it again today, insomnia and pelvic pain... but of course don't want to miss an opportunity. What would you guys do?

And so the TWW begins.

kwastell · 06/07/2020 17:54

@Loladoodle @lucieloos I agree the relaxed approach sounds great. I was defo not going to test early. Then tested at 3 dpo this afternoon (obviously knowing there's zero chance it could be positive yet). Tried to tell myself I'm checking I no longer have HCG in my system after last months miscarriage, but not sure that's really true 😂

Lynnysong · 06/07/2020 17:59

@Homassy I'm a little envious that you know when you ovulate. I've been puzzling about when I did.

Lh surge was Wednesday late afternoon and my temps went up on Sunday so I have no clue lol 😂

Loladoodle · 06/07/2020 18:00

@kwastell I do things like that! And I know for a fact it makes me even more 🤪 I just want to try my best to take a more sensible approach as it does not help my emotional well being one iota! Determined to try and not count down days and wish my life away with all of this continuously. I really need to just relax this month and have fun with it all.

Loladoodle · 06/07/2020 18:05

@lucieloos I’m pretty sure re ov as well so will just go with the flow this month 🤞 the no poas will def be the hardest part I know 🤣 I will try hard but I have tests here so won’t be easy I’m so impulsive re that.

Sleeeeeepy · 06/07/2020 19:35

I wasn't going to go crazy with POAS this month. How do you reckon that's going for me at 7dpo 😬

lucieloos · 06/07/2020 20:29

@Loladoodle I'm exactly the same after all the obsessive testing and staring at blank tests thinking can I see something I tell myself that's it I'm definitely not testing early again but come around 9dpo the next cycle my will power gives up and I just do it on the spur of the moment.

selina37 · 06/07/2020 21:14

@Lynnysong I was the same, positive opk weds afternoon and Friday morning... I'm guessing I ovulated Saturday evening/Sunday morning... all guesswork though 🤷🏼‍♀️

LT103 · 07/07/2020 07:06

Hmmmm so I checked an frer today and it was negative. No idea what’s happening now so will give it a couple more days and check again

selina37 · 07/07/2020 07:12

@LT103 😔 sorry, blank tests are hard to see, but remember it's not over until AF shows her ugly face.

I've been having on/off cramps for two days but none of my usual 'dirty brown' discharge. I'm about 10 dpo today. Then last night when I wiped I had a a few drops of bright red. Cramping has gone now. Had got my hopes up it's implantation cramping followed by spotting. It's hard to believe it though when you see red blood xx

kirinm · 07/07/2020 07:14

BFN on FRER this morning (10dpo). Feeling pretty crampy and have backache so pretty sure I'm out. Urgh.

LT103 · 07/07/2020 07:16

@selina37 I know. Especially when yesterday’s looked positive. Just need to wait and see. I spotted for 2 days there but now stopped. Af due Saturday so time will tell

selina37 · 07/07/2020 07:20

Still relatively early to test though girls...

Sleeeeeepy · 07/07/2020 07:43

I'm sorry @LT103 how frustrating. Fingers crossed AF stays away and you get your BFP in a couple of days

Hayleywoody82 · 07/07/2020 08:10

After reading whats happened to @lastditchattempt20 and a few others im gonna try and use frer and just test when AF due. Thats so heart breaking. I dont think I could cope getting a line then not. I only thought you could get negative negatives not a positive negative.
Im so sorry xx

kwastell · 07/07/2020 08:38

@LT103 I'm sorry, so disappointing.

JustOneMore39 · 07/07/2020 08:48

Good morning my golden ovaries!!

warning: long post!! apologies!!

I hope you are all well! Congratulations @Dipsy77 - fab news. Fingers crossed @LT103 that the ugly AF witch does not show her unwanted face!

A weird month for me. As with a couple of ladies on this forum, I have been trying the 'Sperm Meets Egg Plan' which is basically DTD every other day from CD8. They also recommend using cheap OPK test strips, and then once you reach your peak, you do it that day, the next 2 nights. They say to use the OPKs from CD10. So this is what we have done, and to my utter amazement, I didn't get my OPK peak until CD19!! I could have sworn I ovulated on day 14/15 but it seems not.

So I would recommend to all ladies TTC, for if only for just one month, track your ovulation with these, so that at least you can see when you get your peak and time DTD better. Normally by CD 19 I would have thought I was out of the window, so didn't bother actively going for it.

So I have only just now entered my TWW - time will tell if this is our lucky month, but I feel slightly better that I am getting a bit more of an understanding of my cycle. and we have been having fun DTD every other day for the past 2 weeks, which for us, with life and work and our little one, doesn't happen very often.

Hopefully some more BFPs coming our way!!

x

Hayleywoody82 · 07/07/2020 09:31

First cycle using the cb opks with smiley faces. Ive started testing today day 8 . Blank face as expected. But not a clue how long my cycle is so I think I might run out of sticks. I know you cant just buy the sticks but if i buy a whole new kit im guessing I can just the sticks out of new kit ,?? Xx

lastditchattempt20 · 07/07/2020 09:46

@Hayleywoody82 -I do think mine were 'positive' positives, but stats show that a large percentage (possibly 75%) of early conceptions are lost in the first couple of weeks- we would never had known before we could get such sensitive tests. Either fail to implant properly or egg/sperm not great quality. I would have just thought period was a couple of days late. Also apparently you can naturally produce HCG if perimenopausal Blush
I wouldn't trust a FRER until I'm a week late and by then I should be able to pick anything up on an IC anyway. Save some ££!

@LT103 I hope your lines progress- your prev pic was better than any of mine! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

lastditchattempt20 · 07/07/2020 09:53

Obviously (very sadly) a loss can occur at any stage, but the chances are much higher in the first weeks. So if you can wait, getting a positive after that point should be much reliable. But as someone said, it gets to 9DPO and I get itchy feet.... 🙈

Loll35 · 07/07/2020 10:21

Hi all, new to the site but I'm 36. We are on cycle 13 (unlucky for some!?) My af is due tomorrow, I did a clear blue early test yesterday which was negative. It's my second cycle taking concieve plus vitamins and I tried the clearblue advance opk this cycle and got my peak on cycle day 13, we dtd on cycle day 10,12 &13. Any tips would be greatly welcomed, I feel slightly frustrated after 13 cycles and nothing as you can imagine. This is out first baby too. I had bloods done in Jan and hormone levels and ovulation confirmed my cycle is a pretty regular 28 cycle too.

selina37 · 07/07/2020 12:55

Hello @Loll35 and welcome... 🙂
Frustrating I know, I've been trying for about a couple of years now and my cycles are around 24 days so I dread to think how many cycles that is 😫

Sounds like you are trying the right times.

We used CP and preseed but both seemed to make the fluids a bit excessive 🙈 and unless you don't really have CM I don't think it's always necessary.

I have started to use a soft cup after sex to keep sperms in, but who knows if that'll work.

I'm on third day of intermittent cramping here, and I'm a serial spotter but have only had the one red spot last night. With the cramping I feel I should be spotting more.
