Sending love @Newbie0818 xx

SarahTTC2020 · 07/08/2020 07:41

How's everyone else doing?
I'm possibly 5dpo but also worried I had an anovulatory cycle as I didn't get much ewcm and didn't see a peak on OPKs. Unless it's just not here yet but I'm cd27 so it would be late even for me.

Suki2020 · 07/08/2020 08:56

Hi @SarahTTC2020 I’m feeling fed up today, think AF is on her way for me. I’m 12dpo and my temp has dropped this morning and I feel really moody and emotional. I haven’t caught my peak either for the last two cycles. I do now have a date for my internal ultrasound scan, so starting to panic a little now as it’s a week Tuesday. How are you feeling?

SarahTTC2020 · 07/08/2020 10:24

@Suki2020 horrible seeing that drop 😔
What does the internal scan check for?
I'm feeling pretty relaxed this cycle, having loads of cocktails tomorrow and then probably give the alcohol a rest just in case

Suki2020 · 07/08/2020 19:10

@SarahTTC2020 it checks my ovaries and tubes to make sure they are healthy and clear. If not then they can treat whatever it maybe. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything is healthy and in full working order.

Anybody in the tww at the min? Didn't actively try this month but I think I'm in the tww now 🤣 it'll be no time until my brain starts imagining things!

I am. But didn't try or plan very well as I did the month before so I'm pretty sure I've missed this month. Just waiting for af.. I think I'm 9/10 dpo. No symptoms apart from feeling exhausted! What about you?
Tink2019 · 09/08/2020 08:36

Hey ladies, I'm also in the TWW (AF was due today) but I actually got my BFP a few days ago on a ClearBlue digital (and now I'm a whole new level of feeling anxious!)...after almost a year of TTC we were very shocked as was losing hope. In case it helps any of you long cycle ladies I tried soy isoflavones this month - it's dubbed the 'natural' Clomid, which I'd been prescribed but had put off taking as wanted to do everything possible naturally first. I O'd 7 days earlier than cycle before and I'm sure it was stronger than normal because I had an instant temp rise whereas normally I have a very slow rise. Would definitely recommend looking into them if you want to bring O forward to shorten cycles. It's obviously very early days for me, but just wanted to share in case it helps anyone else x

Pol96 · 09/08/2020 09:47

Omg congratulations @Tink2019!!! That's amazing news!

Congratulations! That's amazing! What soy isoflavones did you use? And how and when did you start using it? Sorry for all the Qs, I have been using inositol this month but feel like I've given up.. it's so much hard work ttc. I'm waiting for AF and already not looking forward to the next month!
SarahTTC2020 · 09/08/2020 17:22

@Tink2019 congratulations! Fab news, I have the same questions as @duckii

I'm possibly 7 dpo but didn't see a peak opk so not sure if it was a good cycle so still DTD every couple days just in case

Tink2019 · 09/08/2020 21:33

Thanks ladies. @duckii and @SarahTTC2020 I've pasted the soy info below - I did CD 5-9 as was having blood work / a scan before that and wanted them to be natural. I just got the Tesco ones (ignore the fact they say menopause on them 🙈) and took 80mg CD 5-7 and then 120mg CD 8-9 although actually didn't take day 9 ones as had a migraine. I took them before bed as can cause headaches etc.

Here's the info I found on them:
You take Soy Isoflavones, like Clomid, on either CD 1-5 , 2-6, 3-7, 4-8 or 5-9. If you take Soy Isoflavones during the later time bracket, for example CD5-9, you shall strengthen the egg that has already started growing producing a healthier egg. The earlier in your cycle you take it, the higher your chance of releasing multiple eggs but these eggs will not be as mature as the eggs grown from taking Soy later. A lot of women will choose the middle cycle (3-7) allowing time for a strong and healthy egg to develop without erasing the chance of a second egg being developed and released.
1-5 = you produce more eggs, and ovulate sooner, with a stronger ovulation.
2-6 = you produce more eggs than usual, but not as many as taking it 1-5. Eggs may be more mature, and ovulation will be slightly more strong than 1-5.
3-7 = The best of both worlds, a few more eggs, and all eggs will be strong & mature, and ovulation will be alot stronger than 1-5.
4-8 = No more eggs will be produced, but the ones already there, will be matured alot more than usual, and ovulation will be very strong. Ovulation may only be brought forward a teeny bit.
5-9 = You'll have one very mature strong egg, from the ones you already produced on your own. Ovulation will either happen when it usually does, or a few days later, but your egg will be of great quality.

Hi Ladies,

Can I join? I don’t know if mine counts as long cycles as they average 32 days but I do suffer from PCOS so thought this might be a nice thread to join to get help about conceiving

xoJellyBean · 09/08/2020 22:19

@Tink2019 congrats on your bfp 🥰 I'm really interested in the soy, been googling it lol did you have many side affects apart from the migraine? My mum had to go on clomid to conceive and she thought the same for me so would love to give soy a go but I'm also terrified!

OP posts:
xoJellyBean · 09/08/2020 22:19

@Elakiya welcome!! How long have you been ttc?

OP posts:
Tink2019 · 09/08/2020 22:31

@xoJellyBean thank you 😊 That was the only side effect and can't really blame it 100% on the soy as I get migraines regularly. I was quite nervous too but after 3 days on the lower dose I felt ok upping it a little. As I had the Clomid prescription I also just thought there's nothing to lose... x

Elakiya · 09/08/2020 22:46

@xoJellyBean this is my 3rd official cycle of ttc with AF due in about 9 days.

I was wondering if anyone else with PCOS bleeds after exercise. Basically I have noticed that after I ovulate if I do any ab workouts I bleed?

Suki2020 · 10/08/2020 19:10

@Tink2019 congratulations 🎉

xoJellyBean · 10/08/2020 23:12

@Elakiya I would go and get checked out tbh. Any bleeding between periods should be looked at my a doctor x

@tink2019 congrats! 🎉🎊
Hope the rest of you ladies are doing well.
I haven't posted here in a while but thought I'd share I got my first ever bfp today! I don't know if I'm 9dpo or 12 cos I'm forever in disagreement with fertility friend but thought I'd just randomly do a test as I got some spotting after work Fri which would be too early for anything af related and thought I'd just check it out. I am over the moon and in a state of shock! Going to test again in the morning and go and get some digital to make triple sure. I don't know if it was the b12 injections but something definitely helped me out this month. I'm also due a blood test on weds to check if I ovulate but I guess my body wanted to prove it in its own way. Although it is still very early days.
Also seems this cycle would have been a lot shorter than the 3 long ones previous. Again I don't know if that's related to the injections or life returning to normal out of lockdown.
Also, other than the spotting and maybe needing to pee more frequently, I can't say I've noticed any other changes. Good luck to everyone here! I really hope you get your bfps soon! 😊😊

Please ignore any hairs on my tests 😅 they are from my dog, his hair gets everywhere! But just realised they look a bit dodgy when on a pee stick 😂

@Rosegold3112 congratulations, lovely news! X

Elakiya · 11/08/2020 08:30

@xoJellyBean I’ve spoken to 3 different gynaes about it multiple times and they dismiss it and say it’s due to the PCOS 😔.

However I am concerned it could be something else. I mean I am not a medical professional but it’s just a gut feeling something is wrong but no ones listening.

@Tink2019 congratulations I took that soy iso post and copied it into another thread because I thought it was very useful and interesting. Hope you don’t mind. Were you on any medication when taking this?

Tink2019 · 11/08/2020 08:56

@Elakiya of course not - I found about the Soy on one of these forums so share away. I wasn't on any other medication, but I was taking other vitamins / supplements (Coq10, folic acid and vitamin D throughout cycle then 50mg B6 after O - the Coq10 and B6 I only added this cycle along with the Soy so they could've helped with the BFP of course). I hope you get to the bottom of your post-workout bleeding soon x
