Thank you @SarahTTC2020 I can't believe it's come around already either.. Its gone very fast! will definitely come and update, hopefully with good news! Xx

Suki2020 · 12/07/2020 08:57

@Newbie0818 yeah I’m ok thanks, sorry I’ve been quiet over the last week it was my first week back at work and it was manic. I’m on CD8 now, so I ovulated on day 29 last cycle and day 50 on the cycle before that so thinking of starting to test on day 14 this time in case my cycle is shorter again this month. How are you today?

Newbie0818 · 12/07/2020 11:58

@duckii definitely not too late, it's just a supplement so in theory it probably won't start working for 3 months at least.

@SarahTTC2020 sorry about af :( let's hope next cycle brings us better news.

@Pol96 wow I can't believe you're already passed the 12 week mark! Can you feel anything in your belly? I bet you're so excited and nervous, it will all be ok! Please do let us know how it goes :)

@hollywhooo thank you. Can the gp's do some tests for you now?

@Suki2020 ah we're exact cycle buddies, I'm cd8 too :) I'm ok, just hate this long wait! We'll keep each other company though I'm sure.

Pol96 · 12/07/2020 12:12

@Newbie0818 I know it's gone very fast! I can feel that my belly is harder, and there's like a small bump and a lot of bloat going on 😂 some symptoms seem to be getting stronger (both reassuring and annoying as the nausea makes me think I'm going to be sick occasionally, thought I'd got away with very slight nausea 🙄) I desperately need to find things to occupy myself for the next few days but I'm still furloughed so don't even have work yet!

Good luck all of you going in to this next cycle, got my fingers crossed for you all!

J0202 · 12/07/2020 14:38

Hope you don’t mind another one joining..

I’ve been reading this for a while and nice to read about similar people in the same boat.

42day ish average cycles with the longest in the last 12 months being 87 and the shortest being 30. I’ve accepted 42 is better than them not appearing at all!

32 & TTC #1 for 5 months but only on cycle 3 and this month I’m all over the place with it all. Trying to add something else into the routine each month so I’m not completely overwhelmed whilst regularly thinking times running away from me (which I know is ridiculous!). CD24 currently and got round to buying the CB tests but will probably now wait till July to use them and stick with the cheapies till then.

Hope you’re all ok! X

xoJellyBean · 12/07/2020 15:14

Hope everyone is doing ok!! This is still my month 'off' and I'm cd26 now so af should be approaching fingers crossed if I'm going to have another shortish cycle. I'm a part time lifestyle photographer as well and I've got a lovely maternity shoot coming up on tuesday, hopefully the tears don't trip me lol 🙈 so hard not to be envious!

@Pol96 oh that's so exciting! You're growing a tiny human! 😱 try macrame, I've been doing that and it works well to distract as you need full concentration.

Welcome @J0202 :) we're all in the same boat, this is a great thread. It's easy to get too carried away with it all isn't it? As you said, 42 is better than 87! Let's hope you catch soon x

@xoJellyBean oh sorry I forgot you were having a month off! Do you feel relaxed about it all or is it quite hard? I was considering having a month off too but I'm too obsessed 🙈 I'm sure you'll make it through!

justlonelystars · 13/07/2020 10:24

Hi everyone, me again!
I’ve just taken delivery of my femometer to track my BBT. I know that I need to do this first thing when I wake up in the morning but does this have to be the same time every day? I can’t find any clear advice on it

Pol96 · 13/07/2020 10:47

@Newbie0818 I know it's so exciting and terrifying at the same time! Will look in to macrame, thanks!

@justlonelystars hi! Take your temp as close to the same time everyday as you can. It'll give you a more accurate chart

justlonelystars · 13/07/2020 10:49

@Pol96 thanks! So excited to start this journey :) I know it may take a while to get there but I’m trying to learn everything I can

Tink2019 · 13/07/2020 11:01

@justlonelystars I've found taking my temp at the same time during lockdown impossible so use this website to adjust it: www.whenmybaby.com/basalbodytemperature.php - I'm sure it's not best practice but my charts were starting to look crazy!

Suki2020 · 13/07/2020 13:23

@Newbie0818 let’s hope both our cycles maybe a little shorter this time.

Welcome @J0202 do you temp at all?

Newbie0818 · 13/07/2020 15:42

I don't want to get my hopes up, but my opk's seem to be getting darker... I do hope the inositol helps!

J0202 · 13/07/2020 15:56

@Newbie0818 there’s so many things to remember or think about. I should really have done the research last year before starting this journey haha!

@Suki2020 no but it’s next on my list of ‘things to do’ 🤣 I’ve just downloaded every app going started with clue 2 years ago, then Flo in January then this week just thought why not have them all so also using Femometer and Fertility Friend. It’s probably a terrible idea as already I’ve realised how different the predictions all are but I’m sure it won’t hurt!

I’ll put an order in tonight for a thermometer and hopefully then have a better idea of what’s going on with my body than winging every day 🤪

Do you temp? If so how do you find it?

Newbie0818 · 13/07/2020 16:00

@J0202 there really is. We weren't actually going to try until this summer but I just had a feeling it would take me a long time and thought, why not

J0202 · 13/07/2020 16:07

You definitely did the right thing! I’d known for about a year I’d be starting in March but I just didn’t have any idea it was this complex haha! I don’t think I really realised my cycles were longer than average till I discovered this thread hahaha! It’s definitely a learning curve!

Newbie0818 · 13/07/2020 17:09

@J0202 totally! It's weird, I have always thought I would struggle but without any evidence to back it up. And low and behold pcos, I'm glad I found out now as I'm very aware that for some ladies it can take years if tests.
Good luck!

J0202 · 13/07/2020 18:26

@Newbie0818 definitely a good thing to know early on! Everytime I have any sort of ‘stress’ in my life no matter how ‘minor’ it seems AF goes AWOL for at least 2 months, frustratingly each time it does this I look back and they look like they’re settling into some sort of pattern until this point. Hoping now I’m back in the office most of the week and in a better routine my body might start co-operating Grin and at least be regular if not I might book a DRs appointment later in the year and see if they can see if anything is up, they’ve been like this for at least 18 months (didn’t track before that)!

Have you found out about the PCOS recently?(apologies if this is already covered earlier on!)

Good luck to you too! X

duckii · 13/07/2020 18:28

@Newbie0818

I don't want to get my hopes up, but my opk's seem to be getting darker... I do hope the inositol helps!
Oh wow! Fingers crossed, which inositol are you using?
Newbie0818 · 13/07/2020 18:49

@J0202 hope it works out for you :) yes I got my diagnosis a few weeks ago

Newbie0818 · 13/07/2020 18:51

xoJellyBean · 14/07/2020 23:03

@Newbie0818 I've been so busy so haven't really noticed the month going by, I actually feel so relaxed without scrutinising every wee thing about my body lol I have a rough idea of when I ovulated but never confirmed and now cd28! Hope you are doing well x

OP posts:
Newbie0818 · 15/07/2020 07:25

@xoJellyBean that's good! I wish I could do that 😭

justlonelystars · 15/07/2020 07:58

Think I’m ovulating today as my temperature has increased a little! I’m on CD25 (normally a 39/40 day cycle) and my LH test was really high last night too. This is the first time I’ve charted anything so it’s really interesting to me Grin

Tink2019 · 15/07/2020 08:36

Great news @justlonelystars! Charting is a pain but definitely helps with long / irregular cycles I find. I'm trying Soy Isoflavones this month to try and bring forward O, really hoping they work 🤞🏻
