@duckii I would assume AF 14 dpo so cd37 in that case

Thanks that's what I would think. I'm just too scared to test and see a bfn.. wish I had regular normal cycles! How are you getting on, what state are you at in ttc?

SarahTTC2020 · 09/07/2020 19:41

@duckii I know, do you take anything to try and regulate them?
I'm a year off the pill, 2nd cycle tracking opk and 12dpo. Ovulated 10 days earlier than normal 🤷🏼‍♀️ and when I say normal, it's been 40-45 day cycles for a while

Newbie0818 · 09/07/2020 20:39

@Tink2019 aw sorry about af but onwards and upwards.

@duckii the luteal phase generally stays the same, and you can expect af anywhere from 10-18 days after ovulation.

Gingerandjasmine · 09/07/2020 21:41

Hey all!
Sorry to jump in like this, my cycle is irregular (can be from 24 to 32)
been having these strong tugging cramps and nausea for 4/5 days straight but getting negatives (could just be a long cycle this month)
(on cycle day 30 at the moment, negative test yesterday)
Just getting concerned at this point because if it is pregnancy ive read this is only to last 1-3 days Hmm wondering if i need to contact the doctors

StarStarTeachMe · 09/07/2020 22:00

Hi ladies, mind if I join? I'm 32, TTC#2. DC1 was a 'surprise', conceived when I was on the pill 8 years ago.
I went off the pill about 2 years ago. Cycles all over the place, but settled into something around 35-40 days in the last yr or so, with the odd 30 day outlier.

We stopped contraception last summer and adopted a 'wait and see' attitude. So far, no joy. I've been tracking CM and seem to be ovulating based on that, as I get my period 13 or 14 days after lots of EWCM and twinges.
This cycle seems to have gone haywire however. Im fairly sure I ovulated around June 10th so was expecting my period to arrive by June 24th but nothing!
I'm currently on day 57. Negative tests every time I've tested. I'm fairly sure I'm.not pregnant, as was violently ill from 5 weeks with DC1 and havent had any symptoms.
I dont mind being out this cycle, but just wish AF would get a bloody move on arriving, so at least we can start the next cycle.

ACMJ · 10/07/2020 07:49

Hi everyone me again! So I actually had a cycle last month after 9 months! Anyway I had a blood test on cycle day 21 which said I didn’t ovulate this month however, now I’m on cycle 34 and I got this on an internet cheapie this morning?! I have been feeling very groggy, tired, peeing lots! But surely a text a week and a half ago would of either picked this up or said I did ovulate? Hmm

No, do you take anything to regulate? It's always a guesswork when we ovulate.. never the same each month!

Thanks. This is why it's such a long wait for each cycle and each potential chance to conceive! Sad sorry for the negativity, can feel AF is on her way - symptoms have changed and hate waiting for next ovulation! How are you getting on?

StarStarTeachMe · 10/07/2020 16:38

It's very frustrating. You feel like you're missing out on opportunities to try to conceive.

SarahTTC2020 · 10/07/2020 17:01

Yeah definitely agree!! Looks like this cycle will be 32 days which is short for me, happy with that as it's closer to fw

MrsL2020 · 10/07/2020 20:28

Hey ladies im new here so i hope you dont mind me jumping on! My average cycle is 36 days and very irregular. We have recently just started TTC and read so many horror stories on having a long irregular cycle can make it harder to concieve. I have wanted a baby for years but my husband hasnt been ready, so now he is i just want it to happen right away😔

StarStarTeachMe · 10/07/2020 20:38

@MrsL1994 Its hard to know how things will go for you. As I said above, I conceived my first child while I was on the pill! Always have had long and irregular cycles before and after being on the pill. Hopefully your ttc journey will be a smooth one.
@SarahTTC2020 a 32 day cycle sounds pretty ideal!

duckii · 11/07/2020 07:42

AF here today Sad a week earlier than expected, didn't even get the chance to poas!

Newbie0818 · 11/07/2020 09:11

Morning all, I've been a bit awol recently. I'm on cd7 again so the long wait ahead is the bit I hate the most. Last cycle was 53 days so I'm guessing 45-60 days is my "average". Feeling pretty p**d off as it means I only have around 6 chances a year IF I do ovulate 😖 really hating my body right now. BUT I'm very hopeful about the inositol bringing ovulation forward this month so will start opk's from cd10....

@Gingerandjasmine from experience, the doctors will just say wait until your next cycle if they offer any tests. I don't know what the gps are like in your area though. I'd give it maybe a week and see what happens.

@StarStarTeachMe are you sure you definitely ovulated that day? Do you temp at all? That's the only reason I know I did last cycle.

@ACMJ hmmm... that is a mystery! Have you got any frers? I'd do one of those or another brand of test and see what happens.

@MrsL2020 are your cycles ever longer than 36 days? If not, I wouldn't worry too much as long as you're tracking ovulation to time DTD etc.

@duckii sorry about af :(

Hope the OG long cyclers are all doing ok! @SarahTTC2020 @Suki2020 @Darcy86 @hollywhooo @Pol96 @xoJellyBean xx

Hoping it works for you. I'm thinking of starting it. If I'm on cd1, is it too late to try?

I had a "day 21" test on Tuesday and the doctor rang saying my results were equivocal at 12.5 and need to repeat. Does anyone know if this means I didn't ovulate?

Tink2019 · 11/07/2020 09:52

@duckii did they do the test on CD21 or your equivalent? Mine are reluctant to do a "day 21" test as it's quite hard to judge when that is with long / irregular cycles (although with OPKs and temps I think I could figure it out). Just thinking that if you have a long cycle and they did it on your CD21 that could be way too early as you may not have O'd by that point.

My average is 42 days so that would be 18th July. But AF came today, a week earlier and I just had the test done on Tuesday. This cycle was 35 days.. so maybe that's why it was low?
The doctor told me to try the test again next month, but I guess I'll never get it right like you're saying.

SarahTTC2020 · 11/07/2020 10:27

@Newbie0818 really hoping it helps shorten your cycles, that period of waiting for fw is horrible at best.
I'm doing ok, AF this morning so a day of feeling sorry for myself really! Although this was a 33 day cycle rather than 40-45 so I'm feeling hopeful that it's not a one off 🤞

Pol96 · 11/07/2020 10:43

Hi @Newbie0818, thanks for checking in again! Sorry to read about your grandmother 😔
I'm doing okay, 4 days (not including today) till my scan.. Currently 12+2.. I can't wait for the scan but also so scared incase its bad news..

Hope everyone is doing okay! X

Same AF started today too! 35 day cycle rather than a 42 day.. so let's hope this next month is our month!!

hollywhooo · 11/07/2020 20:39

Thank you for checking in @Newbie0818 😘 So sorry to hear about your grandmother. I’m still here just quiet as i’ve nothing to report. I didn’t ovulate til day 109 last cycle and i’m only on day 27 so could be a long wait.
I was meant to get a referral through from the hospital in April, obviously on hold due to Covid but I’ve got a docs appointment for something else in a couple of weeks so i may mention it then. Worried my periods are still so irregular after 14 months off the pill xx

SarahTTC2020 · 11/07/2020 22:49

@Pol96 can't believe your scan has come round already, wishing you all the luck for it, please come and update us xx
