Testing Around 11th July

Hey girls, as @juno231 pointed out, we were almost at 1,000 messages on our last testing thread, so thought we should set up a new one for anyone that hasn't got their BFP this month. Of course a few of you may still get your positives :)

I'm just going to tag anyone that has posted on the thread in the last 24 hours or so, but please feel free to tag others that I've missed out...

Of course this thread is based on a cycle of around 30days, so take the title with a pinch of salt as I'm sure some of us will be testing earlier and some of us later. I seem to be on track for a 33+ day cycle at the mo! xx

@mintgreenlife Thank you!! 99% sure AF will arrive tomorrow so my testing day is bang on 11th July is ovulation day is as normal!

@33Carr I'm fairly certain I'll see AF tomorrow or Saturday too, so we will be testing around the same time again :) I ordered more FRERS earlier today as just got the one, but now thinking I won't be needing them for a while! Thinking about trying the CB digital OPKs this month, although may end up v expensive after this cycle was so all over the place :(

*probs...not props. I'm totally typing lying down at the mo, and working at the same time! Fatigue has hit me hard this afternoon, which is always a sign AF is close...

Hi All, me again, still confused as anything.
Hubby got me a 99p packet of 2 tests from B&M last night. First one was BFN, but this morning was a faint line that disappeared after 10 minutes. After much convincing he ordered me some FRER which should be delivered before 10pm today. Not going to the toilet until it arrives so hoping it will be soon! It's driving me nuts. If I don't get a positive on this FRER I think I'm out and need to get on the ginger tea!

Hope your FRERS don't take too long to arrive. Must be torture getting an unclear result! Let us know how you get on when you test later :)

thank you! yeah, in a way I would rather this FRER be completely negative than unclear so I can get on with the next cycle! Still clinging to the ovulating late theory, but not looking forward to the anxious 2 week wait of an early reassurance scan to make sure everything is ok, if and when I do get pregnant!

@MintGreenLife in terms of OPK's the best I have used so far were boots own brand? don't know if anyone else has had good things with them? Maybe use them and when it starts getting darker use CB digi?

@fashu Poundland’s clear a simple are the same as the boots ones and much cheaper. They’re my favourites. 5 sticks for a pound.

@Juno231 will defo keep you posted on how things progress in the next few days! Although I'm with @MintGreenLife in feeling that AF may rear her ugly head shortly as I've been feeling bloated, tired and crampy all day!

@fashu fingers crossed you do get your BFP on a FRER, but if not at least you're ready for the next cycle :) a few days ago I felt so sure I would get a BFP, but now I'm sure AF will be here soon.

Awesome thanks, think I will do the cheapies from CD8 and then cover the middle of my cycle with a cheap OPK and CB. This cycle I didn't get a positive OPK until CD20 x

Hi I followed the last thread. Hoping this month for a better result. Af showed up yesterday and it hit me hard, really struggled yesterday. I was ok until my partner asked if af had showed and then it all crumbled. Sobbed for about an hour or so! 6 cycles and I've never reacted like that. But have lifted my chin and picked myself up, ordered some opk strips to see when I am actually ovulating. I've never used them before so any tips will be greatly appreciated 😊

@ForeverHopeful67 surely at least one of us will be proven wrong, as several of us seem to be feeling like AF will come. Fingers crossed :)

@mintgreenlife you know how your charts were all over the place this months with late LH peaks, I'm thinking that since I stopped taking the pill in Dec that this was the first cycle I've actually properly ovulated. When did you stop using contraception?

I've tested with OPKs since Feb and the first month I got no smileys or peaks, March I left it, April I got a high result but no peak and then the May cycle I've got the solid smiley and two strong days of peak LH. I'm thinking that if that's the case then I'm only going on to cycle 2! Positive vibes for this one 🤞🏻

Hi @PippaRoo88 welcome to the new thread :) I'm sure many of us will have a positive outcome by mid July! So sorry to hear you felt so rubbish about AF, this is my first cycle and I know I'll feel sad when she arrives. Think the only plus side is a new cycle and so a new chance to conceive, but can understand it might not feel like that when 6 cycles in. Oh wow you've been super chilled then. I started using OPKs on CD6 and tracking BBT too, all on my first cycle..so much less chilled ha.

I read in a book about TTC that they are best done around 2pm, but the peak I got this cycle was at 11am, and by 3pm it was fading again. Think I'm probably one of those women that gets a very sudden surge and no build up so easy to miss. Would suggest as this will be your first time using them to start daily when AF finishes and test twice when you do start to see the lines get darker. I use them with the Premom app and take a photo of them on there daily - it gives me a reading in numbers in terms of how high the LH levels are, so takes the guess work out x

@LottieX I have been fearful that perhaps I'm not ovulating yet because of stopping the pill. I stopped in April, had a withdrawal bleed a few days later, then AF 30 days later, so this is my 2nd cycle off the pill. As you say across this cycle I had 3 LH surges, not quite any of them positive, and no clear temp rise. Hopefully things might be clearer for the next cycle, and I have read it can take your body a few months to sort itself out. Must try and remind myself it's normal if things are all over the place again next cycle.

I've tried not to get too obsessed with it but clearly I haven't been doing a good job, so figured I may as well go full in and try and work out exact ovulation days.
They should arrive tomorrow so will start taking them when af ends and see what happens.
