I bought Preseed and used it last month, but I didn't really like it... it felt a bit 'clinical' inserting it with this syringe-like thing before DTD, and there was too much slipping and sliding haha sorry if that's TMI
But I do find that taking EPO until ovulation really helps with CM!
Oh, and I don't test until AF is late coz the BFNs really upset me... but that's just me

@Croselle yes that's what I'm thinking: I'm working from home, but not sure I'll be able to sleep in, do yoga every morning, etc. for much longer, so just trying to enjoy the ride as muh as possible, but I get ups and downs of course.

Hugs to those dealing with PCOS - it does sounds like extra work on top of everything and I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I was speaking to a friend of mine last weekend and she was saying that she has PCOS and was giving up on conceiving naturally, but just as they started tests and so on, it happened! She now has a beautiful 4-month old, so don't give up

@mrsbecs preseed is a lube that is sperm friendly (other lubes can affect sperm and PH inside our vaginas).
@beachbum85 I found the same at first with preseed so now I only use it if I don't have enough ewcm and if I use the syringe I use a lot less. Sometimes I just use it like normal lube on him and me 😁

I've also read grapefruit juice is good for increasing ewcm and lots of water.

@Lottiepink that's brill that you're in tune and it's taken the pressure off.

So I'm thinking I didn't O cd9 and instead my body geared up to it and I got a peak. As this morning I've woken up with even more ewcm and my opks are rising again. So glad I get ewcm to tell me otherwise I'd have just not bothered poas again to check LH surge. I've buggered up my Accupuncture appointment though as supppsed to go 5 days before O and 5 days after to aid implantation but cancelled the appointment at the weekend as I thought I'd already O and now due to see her Thursday which is when I may actually end up O!
My cycles have never been this messed up before.... grrrrr still blaming that Damn HSG!

I have just come off my pill (having been on it for 9 years, and very few periods during this time) I want to try and see what my cycle looks like before we actively start trying in the next few months. I have no idea on the things I should be doing to help so reading these threads has been very helpful! I should say I’m 27 and this will be my first x

I’m on my second cycle and tried to use OPKs and I’m not sure when my ovulation is/ was.

So basically I have been testing on Femometer and I didn’t get a positive. I was also testing on clear blue and got three smileys flashing on day 16-18 out of my 30 day cycle.

I have been tracking my CM and its now sticky but doesn’t do the egg white stretch that it’s meant to be doing and also I have been tracking my temperature who went quite low on day 15 35.9 and then it got to 36.6 on day 16, 36.8 on day 17 and 36.5 on day 18.

How do you guys know when you are ovulating it’s just driving me mad! Should I rely on OPKs or not really?

Hi @Ck236 I am also using the clearblue OPKs. did you get a static smiley on your CB? As this is a sign that you will be ovulating. the flashing ones only recognise a rise in the hormone.
I'm no help on temping though sorry x

@Ck236 it can take a few months to pick up on your own body symptoms. Not everyone catches the LH surge, not everyone gets O pains or ewcm. Temping can be a tricky thing to master and some of the other ladies on here can advise.

If after 3-4 months you're getting no O symptoms then it would be worth going to your GP for some basic blood tests as some women don't ovulate and need help with it. Try to stay relaxed and take this time getting to know your body. Grapefruit juice, tons of water and lots of veggies can help bring some ewcm.

@beachbum85 Yeah, it's tough not to overthink sometimes and feel a bit down but all we can do is try ay? I recently got into painting which I find really calming. I have found work is becoming really stressful lately and then that worries me that the stress is going to affect things haha.I need to get my healthy habits back in order too! I think I've gained more lbs than I would have liked since lockdown started, really missing my gym classes!

@lottiepink That's awesome that you can tell when you have ovulated without opks or temping :) how often are you dtd?

@kiza the irony that I have never used hormonal contraception as I wanted my body to be natural - well thats worked well hasn't it 🤣 have you opks increased now?

@Lozzlepop I had some bloods last week, thyroid and some other stuff and all xam each normal so atleast I know my thyroid isn't an issue :)

@beachbum85 yeah I use pressed but only as an external lube I tried the inserting applicators once and it did feel like a doctors visit haha

I got a static one very early on Day 10 but I was holding the test upside down 🙈🙈🙈🙈 silly me and then I got high on day 16,17,18. I think this confused me so much.

How are you all doing? ☺️ just wanted to share something and some advise will be highly appreciated.

Earlier in the morning today i have a egg white like discharge. I assumed ovulation is coming. So husband and i BD. After that i remembered i have some OPK which i bought last month. I tested and indeed theres a two lines So i think its a nice timing we made love. Then Out of curiosity, i tested again in the afternoon and there's still two lines but the test line is lighter now. What does it mean? Haha did i missed my ovulation? I have a lil period tracker tho and its says that il ovulate tomorrow. But now im a bit confuse lol

@goldenrose88 I think when you get a peak on the opk sticks it means you will ovulate in the next 24-48 hours so that sounds about right. I’m Cd12 and still waiting on Mine to show a positive!

@goldenrose88 yeah the two lines (test line being darker than control line) indicates O will be within the next 12-36 hours, therefore DTD before you get a peak reading is ideal and continue to DTD for another few days just to cover yourself.

@Annny27 when that happens I can't help but to try and pull the stuff apart to see if it's Ewcm or sperm! Gross I know but I'm too curious! Good that all your tests have come back ok from your bloods, what's the next step?

Got my AMH results back: 5.9, she said ideal is 6.5 and above so the results are in line with my FSH being 8.8, I'm just outside the border for both. Not great but not too bad. The nurse was lovely and said again no reason we can't get pregnant but just the combo of my old eggs and DP abnormal sperm (even though he produces a lot) just means it's gonna take a while for us. I thought 2 years was already a while!

Still not sure if I've O or not as OPK went up but now back down again 🤦🏼‍♀️ think I'm gonna try temping again to gain some clarity for the next few months before IVF.

So the nurse just called with my results, the test came back negative for the blood clotting issue- I am really gutted as i thought this would be it!

@Lozzlepop sorry lovely:( i know that would have been a very easy option to fix :( perhaps your babies had some chromosomal errors - did they genetically test any of them? Xxx

@kiza it stretched loads but feels too early for ewcm! Who knows haha. The opk I did was high today so it could be. That's good that your results aren't too bad then. Will that level be okay for ivf?

Don't know if it's ok, will just have to wait for IVF appointment to discuss. I think it will be as heard some IVF clinics have a cut of at 5, it's just not great as it means the chance of good quality eggs left with a lower reserve are slim so even if I got a lot of eggs from IVF they may not be of great quality to make it to blastocysts.
Just have to stay hopeful as egg donors are expensive and not something I'd considered.

@Peach1204 how exciting, 8 weeks is a perfect time to go!

@Annny27 I know, no that was never offered as an option just feeling a bit down after waiting almost a year for that bloody test- I was so sure it would come back positive!

@Kiza I am booked in for the HyCoSy on the 9th of July and then I guess take things from there. How long until your appointment?

@mrsbecs sorry I forgot to answer your first question! It was perfect thank you! Decorated our living room and he had a Father's Day card from the bump. Not that it's much of a bump - I can defs hide a baby for at least 4 months I reckon! 😂 xxx

@Peach1204 Awww that's so sweet, so happy for you. Exciting about your scan, I definitely would book in 8 week scan. Also I did not know weeks were added until yesterday when I was googling things about pregnancy lol xx

@mrsbecs I was confused with the weeks thing as well when working out due date. I assumed it was dated from ovulation, not first day of last period. All of this is a big learning curve! Xxx
