@SkyBlue20 sorry to hear for your loss and that you had to wait also. MC can make you anxious about it again and not feel as elated/reassured when you fall pregnant again. However I think it's important to try and find a way to process this so it doesn't have a hold over you. Also don't worry about age - I'm nearly 40 and still have faith I'll fall pregnant again!

Welcome @goldenrose88 @EmmaAM @Peach1204 @Nazz10

@Lottiepink sorry to hear AF is due soon for you, think you were on this thread before me. I was a lurker for about 6 months before I joined in.

@Annny27 yep 12dpo and started spotting this morning 😢 so AF will probably arrive when it's due wed/thur. at least for the last 2 cycles the spotting has held off until 12dpo which is good. How's the symptom spotting going this cycle?

@Lozzlepop god that's terrible for your friend, any MC is awful but when I hear of experiences like that or when a woman is quite far along my heart breaks for them.

beachbum85 · 08/06/2020 15:57

Thanks so much for sharing your stories everyone!. Great to see that there are some newcomers to TTC and some who have been here for longer - I'm very sorry to hear it's been so tough for some, though. You have all my support and a virtual hug too!
@SkyBlue20 I'm really sorry that COVID has made such a difficult situation even harder, and I can totally understand your nervousness, but wish you the best of luck in falling quickly once again!

@orangeloo I've never had a BFP either, and I just had a second thyroid test as I had a mildly elevated value 3 months ago. GP will call tomorrow to talk through the results...

mrsbecs · 08/06/2020 16:01

Hi there,

Can I join too please? Also first time TTC! Been lurking on here for about a month now and keeping up with everyone's journey

SkyBlue20 · 08/06/2020 18:17

Thanks for the welcome everyone 💕 Hope there will be lots of BFPs in our near futures!

Ck236 · 08/06/2020 19:25

Hi ladies,

Can I also join?we are also TTC! We will soon be on our second cycle to conceive and will start using ovulation kits. Do you know what’s the best one?

Also, how much exercise do you do whilst TTC?

Thanks!

Annny27 · 09/06/2020 08:07

morning :D 6dpo today

@kiza ahhh sorry you think AF is on the way but 12 do spotting is much better :) I started AF at 11dpo this month so I am hoping for a longer LP this month

@skyblue20 that's an awful length to wait for the miscarriage to be over :( I had failed medical management and then emergency Erpc in November this year. Hope you conceive quickly 🤞

@orangeloo yeah start of AF is a brand new cycle and a new chance of hope! Are you approaching fw yet?

@Lozzlepop so sad about your friend :( does she know about your losses?

@Peach1204 it could well be implantation or ovulation spotting depending on where you are in cycle!

@Nazz10 my longest ever cycle I ovulate on cd24 so keep going 🙌

Welcome to the other newbies :D

orangeloo · 09/06/2020 09:01

@Annny27 I'm CD7 do got a little while as I usually ovulate cd16/17.

@Ck236 I use clearblue digital. Internet cheapies do the job just as well it's just personally I like an answer. I don't want the added stress of deciphering the colours of lines. Exercise is a tricky one. I feel like as long as ure not training for a marathon u should be okay doing what you've always done. However they do say exercise is a 'stress' on your body so keep it gentle. Especially in the tww. I would say go with your gut. You know your body better than anyone.

Kiza · 09/06/2020 09:15

@Ck236 similar to what @orangeloo said re: exercise. For the last 2 years I've done intense strength training, then stopped and for 4 months did light jogging and yoga and neither made a difference (I've always been an active person) so as long as you're not starting something really intense then go with what feels right.
I use internet cheapies for OPK and use the app fermometer to read them (always been accurate). I also go by my CM, CP and when I'm feeling frisky! And just try to have DTD every other day during the fertile window to cover yourself.

@Annny27 really hope this is a long LP for you as 11 is short- was that a one off for you? Sorry if you'd already mentioned.

Annny27 · 09/06/2020 09:16

@orangeloo still a little bit away then!

@kiza yeah my period arrives usually on 14/15dpo and has done for all 12 months I have been tracking haha! So was unexpected

OP posts:
Peach1204 · 09/06/2020 10:14

@Ck236 I've recently been doing half an hour on my cross trainer everyday. Only 2 months in TTC. I read that once pregnant you can exercise but you should still be able to hold a conversation so nothing strenuous. Xxx

@Annny27 thank you. Both my apps say different things! I was so tempted to test this morning but I wouldn't be able to keep it quiet and if I am would rather tell him Father's Day. AF is due Sunday so if it doesn't come I'll test after that. Xxx

Nazz10 · 09/06/2020 10:19

@Annny27 cd24 and still no positive OPK. 1st cycle after stopping the pill. Had a withdrawal bleed 16th-19th May. Waiting for my 1st AF. I'm using the clue app as that's what I used when I had the implant. It predicts my fw was last week and AF should come on the 21st but obviously this won't be accurate because of the pill. I hate waiting around

mrsbecs · 09/06/2020 10:31

Thanks ladies. I'm CD9, when would you suggest to OPK? Just got ones off Amazon.
Also I have the apps Flo and Fertility Friend. Then been searching these chats to see advice on peeing after DTD etc! Possibly overthinking this for my first try Blush

mrsbecs · 09/06/2020 10:41

@Peach1204 thats a very sweet idea, good luck for your BFP x

Lozzlepop · 09/06/2020 11:20

Morning ladies!

@SkyBlue20 sorry to hear about your MMC- we have had 2 so know how devastating it is, so sorry you had to wait so long for the procedure. i hope you are doing as well as can be expected, getting pregnant again is a scary time but you just need to remain positive ❤️

Hello and welcome @Nazz10 @goldenrose88 @mrsbecs and @Ck236

@Kiza I know its such a shame, my heart goes out to her, she seems to be coping well- she's a strong lass! She's been referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic too so at least we have each other to chat to, nice in a way to have a friend going through a terrible experience with you.

@Annny27 yes she does, only because I had put something on my instagram story at new year and she got in touch to say they had 2 MC by that point and we arranged to catch up for brekkie.

@mrsbecs, I would start about dat 10 or 11 if its your first time. Try not to drink to much and hold your pee for a good few hours and try to do tests at the same time each day (I usually go for mid afternoon/ early evening)

My bridesmaids dresses arrived yday so I am off to visit my SIL to drop hers off and have a socially distanced garden visit 😊hope everyone has a lovely day and the sun is out where you are!

mrsbecs · 09/06/2020 11:34

Thanks for the advice @lozzlepop I'm terrible at holding my pee lol so it will be good trainning!

Oh how exciting, when is your wedding? Sun isn't shinning here, but I'm WFH anyway. Hope it stays dry outside later so I can walk my dog.

Peach1204 · 09/06/2020 11:45

@mrsbecs thank you. I'm hoping it is as it's all that I'm thinking about. Struggling to distract myself!

My OPKs came yesterday but I've never used them before. I use Flo, it's very reliable for AF so I'm assuming it's correct for everything else but it's different to Premom which I also downloaded. In terms of peeing after DTD I did read not to go to the loo straight after but then read somewhere else that it makes no difference 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ I hope you get a BFP soon! Xxx

Peach1204 · 09/06/2020 11:47

@mrsbecs the peeing message below was in terms of straight after DTD. I'm not sure when it comes to testing! Xxx

SkyBlue20 · 09/06/2020 11:56

Thanks, @Lozzlepop and I'm so sorry you've been through it twice - it's really tough. When's your wedding? So exciting! What colour are the bridesmaid dresses?

I hadn't even thought about exercise when TTC - I stopped everything except physio for my knees when I got pregnant in Jan as I was so nervous about miscarriage (fat lot of good it did) but didn't stop beforehand (though wasn't exactly doing a huge amount either!) I'm currently doing Couch to 5k to build my knees back up to running again but it definitely makes me breathless and is tough, maybe I should stick to the earlier weeks when TTC? This stuff needs to be taught to every woman who's thinking of TTC!

mrsbecs · 09/06/2020 11:59

@peach1204 I'd be the same, especially since I'm reading loads on MN and watching loads of youtube videos already. Waiting must be so hard.

Flo is very reliable for me too for AF, I've been using it for about a year. Only downloaded Fertility friend recently as heard it was good too. Going to start the OPKs tomorrow to see what that tells me.

Well that's what I plan to do to after DTD, although it will only be for about 10 minutes chilling out then off I go to pee haha! So weird because you spend most of the time trying not to get pregnant, feels like I've no idea what to do now Wink xx

Peach1204 · 09/06/2020 12:11

@mrsbecs let me know what you think of the OPKs. I will be using them from next time if not lucky this time round. I can only not go to the loo if we dtd at night and I go to sleep after 😂 I think there was always talk of how easy it was to get pregnant so I was very vigilant about that not happening and now all I want is for it to happen! Xxx

Lozzlepop · 09/06/2020 15:14

@mrsbecs no worries good luck, I found the Glow and Femometer apps handy as you can input and keep a track of your OPKS. Hopefully next spring 🤞🏻the sun has disappeared now and its trying to rain.

@SkyBlue20 it is tough, but we'll get there 🙂Haha well thats a good question as they are looking different in different lighting- they are somewhere between a lilac and a dusky pink.

In terms of exercise if you are used to working out then theres no real issue with continuing at that intensity but if you get a BFP after not doing much I then wouldn't rush into anything strenuous. I done exercise during pregnancy 1, 3 and 4 (less in 4 as it was Christmas) but didn't during 2 as I was so worried about another loss.

Croselle · 09/06/2020 16:46

Hiya,

It'd be great to join this thread. I'm 29 and my partner and I are TTC. I'd say, unofficially, we've been open to getting pregnant for over a year now as I came off of contraception about 18 months ago but we weren't proactively trying until more recent months. I have PCOS and had an initial fertility consultation in February and was due a HyCoSy at King's in May but that along with another consultation have been postponed because of Covid-19 so feel a bit at a loss. I've bought fertility friendly lubricant and recommended supplements and have been taking folic acid for a year now.

Is anyone else TTC with PCOS?

Thanks ladies

Croselle · 09/06/2020 16:50

I also forgot to add that I've been tracking ovulation using sticks and got a femometer. So far my ovulation sticks keep coming back as negative, trying not to stress out.

mrsbecs · 09/06/2020 16:53

@Lozzlepop cheers, I'll get looking at those apps, they sound really helpful. Ps I'm really sorry to hear about the struggles you have had :(

Spring wedding will be beautiful. My dresses were also different colours in different light, somewhere between grey, lilac and pinkish!

@Peach1204 I will let you know how I get on lol Wish I could get to sleep that easily!

mrsbecs · 09/06/2020 16:59

Hey @Croselle thats so frustrating, sorry to hear that things have been delayed. I'm also 29, but sorry cant give any advice! Just wanted to say hey xx
