@Annny27 Had my 8th flashy smiley this morning Confused But had some really dark cheap OPK strips on Friday and Saturday, so think I probably ovulated then. I'm on CD19 and normally ovulate somewhere between CD16-19. Not sure I rate the blue clearblue digital OPKS - think I'll stick to their pink ones next month as I got on better with them!

We have dtd 7 times in the last 8 days so really hoping we're in with a good chance this month Grin Time will tell!

@Kiza I'm sorry, that must be so frustrating. Sad Hope you get a date sometime soon and they stop moving it!

annahannah · 14/09/2020 15:03

Very confused this afternoon. CD19 and just got a positive OPK on the clearblue pink test, but still a flashy smiley face rather than a static on the clearblue purple test. Both using same pee!

Going to assume that I'll ovulate in the next 24-36 hours! Smile

Annny27 · 15/09/2020 10:19

Morning :) after a few months of positivity I had a little meltdown yesterday because I know my period is on the way and we are moving into month 16 (I lose track!). Just feel helpless and really depressed sbout it. Hoping to perk myself up and crack on with life and try to enjoy my life without wishing time away!

@annahannah thats so strange how two different tests showed different results! Do you think ovulation has happened yet?

@orangeloo is ivf the next step for you then?

@kiza ahh sorry lovely thats super frustrating!!! Will the funding still be available after you turn 40? Hopefully 🤞🤞

@Annny27 ah sorry you had that. I think we all get those days sometimes where the reality and sheer weight of it all hits us. I had a big ugly cry Sunday morning. I think it's cathartic to let it all out sometimes.

Yes I've had all the standard tests done. Nhs don't seem fussed about any more or looking into spotting. She said most likely once I've had consultant appointment he'll refer straight for ivf.
I sometimes feel like should I just get allll the tests done privately to leave no stone unturned this would cost a lot of money (that I don't have) haha. But when you hear of all the immunology, blood clotting issues, genetic issues, it does make you wonder. I have no reason to think I have any of these things but I guess no one does. Fertility is a complete minefield.

XjustagirlX · 15/09/2020 15:11

Hi everyone. So af has finished now. The day I started bleeding I phoned my gp and they referred me that day to the recurrent miscarriage unit. I phoned the RM unit to ask about timeframes. I should get an appointment letter within 6-8 weeks. Then all the tests are done at some point in the following 2 months. Then we have a consultation after tests come back for the next time I get pregnant and hopefully some help to keep me from miscarrying.

I’ve really suffered this time. The first 2 miscarriages I was reasonably ok. But this time I was suffering with actual grief. Not necessarily grief for the loss of a baby but grief for a life without children. I know I’m jumping to conclusions but life just isn’t fair.

I’m CD6 now so going to try again in a couple of days but it will be my right side. I am really concerned that I’m blocked on my right side as I’ve only ever got pregnant on my left. I try to explain this to doctors and they dismiss me saying I can’t be blocked as I’ve got pregnant.

Also got my nhs call tomorrow so we will see how that goes.

Lozzlepop · 15/09/2020 15:43

Hi all, long time since I've popped on, how are we all?

@Annny27 thanks for checking in, not much to report here tbh STILL on furlough- its becoming laughable now! Cycles are all over the place at the mo, 31 days then 28 then 26 currently on CD31 and no sign of AF 🤷🏽‍♀️how are you? How are you getting on with the progesterone?

@Kiza sorry to hear you are having a rough time of it all, have they given any explanation as to why things have been pushed back? when is your bday?

@annahannah 7 times in 8 days is good going, I am tired just thinking about it lol!

@orangeloo are you down south? it seems to me in Scotland they just dont want to give IVF as it has never been suggested to us and only touched on when I brought it up but she didn't sound like she was keen to refer us.

@XjustagirlX so sorry to hear about your MC I know firsthand what its like to suffer from recurrent MC- please feel free to message me anytime if you have any questions on the tests and I can maybe help shed some light on the process. I would double check with the hospital before trying as we were told theres one test that they cant do if you are pregnant or have just had a MC, we had to allow 12 weeks to ensure my hormone levels were accurate and we did get pregnant again in that timeframe so it had to get pushed back even further after that MC, although I do feel all healthboards seem to have conflicting advice but maybe something to check up on ❤️

orangeloo · 15/09/2020 17:42

@XjustagirlX it's completely understandable you feel that way after what you've been through. Good luck for your call tomorrow.

@Lozzlepop hey, I'm still furloughed too it does feel crazy now. 6 months I've been off. Not complaining though. I assume I'm back on The 1st October as the scheme ends but I haven't had confirmation. Yes I'm down south. I think maybe also because you've had miscarriages I guess they are more looking into that first than sending you straight down the IVF route.

mrsbttc · 15/09/2020 22:21

Hi all, hope everyone is ok
I was on here a few months ago while I was at a point of getting scans back in May, my scan came back clear which was good but they messed up my bloods and wouldn't redo them
Due to lockdown, we are also still waiting for my husbands sperm analysis test to be done. The doctors told me in June they would call me once things reopened but I rang them today to make another appointment as we have heard nothing and judging by these comments it seems for some of you ladies things are opening back up again. Coming into 17 months now and it's very frustrating knowing we aren't any further forward and each month when AF arrives I feel more disheartened. Two of my friends are pregnant, along with my sister and a lady I work with just announced today she was pregnant also - so I feel surrounded! Like @orangeloo and @Annny27 I have days where I feel the weight of the world wishing happy news would come our way and I have started to wonder what life would be like if this never worked out for us - fingers crossed that's not a bridge we ever need to cross for us all!

Does anyone know what tests the NHS offer if - my scan, my husbands sperm analysis and all bloods come back as good/clear? I have seen some of you mention NHS testing is basic so Wondering if after that it's straight to IVF?! Xx

XjustagirlX · 16/09/2020 08:35

@Lozzlepop thanks for the offer. I’ll definitely check what tests there are and if pregnancy affects anything.

@mrsbttc my nhs tests all came back normal. Scan SA and bloods. For me they just offered ivf next which seems a massive jump.

A bit of an update - I did an ovulation test this morning and it was peak on CD7 so I did a pregnancy test and it was positive 2-3 weeks. I’m panicking now coz this is a similar situation to my ectopic in March. I’m going to phone EPU and ask for a blood test. I’m going to tell them I’ve been bleeding heavily which I have technically coz I’ve had what I thought was a period and cramps.

XjustagirlX · 16/09/2020 09:33

They have said I can go for a blood test today. So I’m going to go around lunchtime.

Helenh19 · 16/09/2020 09:47

So I’m 8DPO, last night me and DP has sex and after there was very watery very pink discharge. A few hours before I had some mild lower cramps that only lasted about a minute. Woken up this morning and nothing to be seen. Usually when I start my period it just THERE with strong cramps.

Lozzlepop · 16/09/2020 10:09

Morning all!

@orangeloo I'm glad to hear its not just me lol! I am hoping to get an update from work today but also not holding my breath- have a couple of jobs to apply for this week 🤞🏻I guess so, but even after all the test came back they never mentioned it which I feel is odd- my friend is also getting tests done and she's had even less than me done and told that it!

@mrsbttc its hard when everyone seems to be getting pregnant, I found out my ex and his wife just had Twins so they have 3 kids under 3 and it just doesn't seem fair! I don't have any experience with fertility tests just the recurrent MC ones but it really does seem to differ dependant on your health board!

@XjustagirlX good thinking, it was the blood clotting one- the lupus anticoagulant that she said needed 12 weeks of no pregnancy to be able to do. Oh hun I am so sorry you are experiencing this, has the bleeding been as heavy as a period with clots etc? Thats good they are getting you in today though- keep us posted ❤️

@Helenh19 could possibly be implantation bleeding 🤞🏻

XjustagirlX · 16/09/2020 10:15

I had brown spotting, then red clots, then red blood, then black blood. The bleeding has stopped now.

orangeloo · 16/09/2020 10:48

@mrsbttc welcome back. It sounds like all your outstanding is the tubes test then? And your husbands SA. Your area/ clinic may differ but my area don't seem to want to do anymore investigation which is good but also a bit concerning.

@XjustagirlX I'm so sorry your going through all this. Hope you get some answers.

@Helenh19 yep fingers crossed it's implantation bleeding.

@Lozzlepop good luck for those job applications. Can I ask what tests they have given you for the recurrent losses?

annahannah · 16/09/2020 13:39

@XjustagirlX Hope the blood test provides you with some answers xx

Lozzlepop · 16/09/2020 14:54

@XjustagirlX I hope you get some answers soon lovely ❤️thinking of you!

@orangeloo Thank you! I had a blood test for Rubella, a Chlamydia test, an ultrasound of my ovaries and fallopian tubes, the blood clotting test, the HSG and then my progesterone levels checked. I have never had any of the initial tests for hormone levels and thyroid etc. DF has a SA but that was the only test he had to do, and nothing has flagged anything up!

orangeloo · 16/09/2020 18:19

@Lozzlepop I'm surprised they did not test for thyroid. Maybe you could ask. It's probably fine but sometimes even if the result is even borderline treating it can make a difference. Mine is borderline (sub-clinical they call it). A lot of doctors would not treat but as I was talking about ttc they did.

mrsbttc · 16/09/2020 23:20

@orangeloo yes I forgot about the tubes test, I will ask about that when I speak to the doctor, I couldn't get an appointment until next Friday (even just for a telephone one) but it's no major rush.
I am half hoping we will be referred to the Centre For Life which is our local fertility clinic which handle the IUI/IVF route as at least that would feel like we would be moving forward but I am also hoping we don't have to go down that route, I guess time will tell!

@XjustagirlX I am sorry to hear that you are bleeding and keeping everything crossed for you

Xx

mrsbttc · 16/09/2020 23:22

@Lozzlepop
Oh my word I can imagine that would have been so hard hearing that about your ex !
Reading through the posts it does seem to differ from health board to health board - postcode lottery it's terrible really.

X

XjustagirlX · 17/09/2020 07:24

My hcg yesterday was 179 so not very high. I haven’t really been recording my temps this month but I did this morning and it was really high. This is all very confusing. I’m going back for another blood test on Friday so will find out what’s happening with the hcg.

My call with the gynaecologist was really good. She explained that my husband actually had really good sperm and lots of them. She couldn’t see anything wrong with my hormones or ultrasound I had done last year.

She said I need to redo my bloods to check hormones and have a Hucosy but there will be a long wait for that. I didn’t tell her about this pregnancy as I didn’t want to be Cancelled when I’ve waited for this appointment since April.

Lozzlepop · 17/09/2020 14:01

@orangeloo been doing some reading up so deffo want to get my thyroid checked, called to make an appointment for a blood test to be told the doctor had to approve it so I need an appointment but they were all taken for the next 7 days so to call back at 8am tomorrow 🙈

@mrsbttc I is really frustrating how much it differs, we would have a one year wait for IVF and I know someone else on here said there was no waiting time in their area

@XjustagirlX fingers crossed for you for Friday, I am glad the appointment with the gynaecologist went well!

CausingChaos2 · 17/09/2020 14:48

@orangeloo Do you mind me asking what your borderline thyroid results were? Mine have been a bit wonky for a few years now but have struggled to get proper treatment.

orangeloo · 17/09/2020 15:52

@CausingChaos2 it was 4.68 when it was first diagnosed. I'm not sure what the sub clinical threshold is. I think it may be above 4.5. Reagardless if it's in doubt treat it. Don't take no for an answer because it's so important for ttc and pregnancy. It helped me too I was always so tired and cold and often feeling down. I didn't think anything of this and thought it was just 'life' but once I was on my medication I felt so much better. I feel even know when my thyroid is under pressure again now because I know when I have that tired feeling. Tagging you in this too @Lozzlepop x

orangeloo · 17/09/2020 15:53

@XjustagirlX so sorry you are still in a bit of limbo with this. I don't blame you at all for not saying about this pregnancy I would have done the same x

orangeloo · 17/09/2020 15:59

Just to add on the thyroid, my sister can sometimes swing into sub clinical and has never been treated but had 4 healthy pregnancies so I don't think it effects everyone the same. But if you are someone with fertility issues presenting you would quite likely prefer to treat to be on the safe side. @CausingChaos2 @Lozzlepop
