Setting up a new thread for all of us ttc our first baby!

I just don't know @Lozzlepop - trying to be rational and know that if I am pregnant I can wait a couple of days to find out.

That's better than having to get the line eyes out for a faint test taken too early.

I may feel differently tomorrow or Wednesday though!

@Annny27 maybe we are just the weirdos who sometimes have bad spotting and sometimes not! Let's hope next month has no spotting for you again 🤞🏼

Is it worth asking for an IVF referral as different CCG's have different requirements. Even without the miscarriages you've been TTC for a while now. At least under IVF care they would monitor you more closely 🤷🏼‍♀️

@timswifey sounding really positive for you! You'll need the patience of a saint to wait until Thursday!!
I had a bit of a cry yesterday (after DTD) as deep down I don't want to do IVF for a number of reasons such as sadness and anger that we have to when others seem to get a baby so easily. Also the worry and fear of the side effects and transfers and then the worry that it may still not work out. Just needed a little cry, also had a bit of vaginismus when DTD which I haven't had for about 15 years, think it was the pressure of only having another month or two of being successful naturally before IVF.

Oh @Kiza sending you love. Crying is important and totally valid.

So much for the patience of a saint. I caved and took a test. BFN.

Going to sit on the sofa feeling sorry for myself for a while.

I know most will remember her from the old threads but I saw that @validuser got her bfp :D :D there's hope for us all!!

Yay @validuser! Was it via IVF as I recall her last post was waiting for IVF before lockdown? Where did you see her post? I'm so happy for her as she had been trying for so long!

@timswifey fingers crossed temp is still up tomorrow. How many dpo are you now?

Hi everyone. I know all the names here! We did IVF in the last few weeks. How are you all?

15 eggs, 11 mature, 10 fertilised. Then by day 3 they were all fragmenting badly. Thought we'd have nothing to transfer. But we did, and on Saturday the 11th I had 2 early blastocysts implanted.

I got the first BFP last Wednesday and today (9dp5dt, 14 dpo) the tests look like this.

@ValidUser I’m ok, all of our recurrent mc tests came back clear so no further forward 🤷🏽‍♀️ On furlough from work and facing redundancy so trying to plough everything into wedding planning 🤣

@Lozzlepop it's hard when everything's normal. Sometimes it helps to be able to fix something. Have you been on steroids with a BFP? They're doing that for me this time. Evidence is patchy but promising.

Could be twins. And I'd love that as long as they got here safely! We moved clinic and the new one is so much better.

@Kiza @Annny27 I'm 14 dpo so I feel like the bfn is probably correct 😢 you never know though.

@ValidUser nope they’ve not really said much apart from trying progesterone pessaries but no evidence they work 🤷🏽‍♀️ Asked if I should have initial tests to check progesterone/ thyroid levels etc but they said no so I’m kind of at a dead end!

That would be amazing! Oh I’m glad to hear the new clinic is much better that’s so reassuring ☺️

@ValidUser so lovely to hear from you and massive congratulations! You must be elated after your long journey! I'm on the cusp of IVF, referred and accepted on the NHS and waiting for 1st appointment. We asked about a double embryo transfer but as it's the NHS they said no.

Thats awesome @ValidUser twins would be lovely but also 1 healthy baby would be bliss aswell 💗 how was the ivf process both mentally and physically?

Just to recap, we started ttc in June 2019, conceived in the September but miscarried at 12 weeks in November 2019 and have been trying ever since! Am started some private fertilitt tests this month

@Lozzlepop if it was just those, ask for a thrombophilia screen. Major cause of recurrent MC.

@Annny27 it was tiring, then exciting after egg collection, devastating by day 3, confusing by day 5, and wonderful by now. Physically, buserelin for downregulation left me exhausted, but it was otherwise fine.

@kiza the reason we did/could transfer 2 was because the clinic wasn't sure the second could be frozen. They have quality restrictions and not every embryo fulfils the criteria. They let a third grow to day 6, but I don't think it even had many cells, so wasn't freezable.

So here's hoping I stay pregnant!

@ValidUser I had the lupus anticoagulant test- is thrombophilia different? Is it something the doctor can do or my consultant?

@Lozzlepop the lupus inhibitor is part of it. But there are other add on clotting factor measurements. I haven't had them as the treatment is the same as it is for positive lupus inhibitors. In some parts of/clinics in the USA, they seem to routinely go steroid and aspirin for recurrent MC.

(Probably not much help here, but there's a theory that repeated implantation failure and recurrent MC are part of the one spectrum, so I read up thoroughly only on the parts that might be relevant to me before IVF, so there's probably loads I'm not thinking of.)

Digital just went up to 2-3 weeks. I'm thrilled!

Yes we'll see about my temp @Kiza so happy I've been temping and at least know when I ovulated.

Love how optimistic you ladies are @Annny27 if AF doesn't arrive I'll test in a few days with FMU just to be sure.

I'm getting cramps that don't feel like period cramps, it feels like it did when I got pregnant before.

@Lozzlepop I must admit it was a cheapie Tesco one. I'll see what my local shop has in a day or so. No more tests in the house so I can't test until I buy more!
