Dark choc supposed to be ok! 😊

I have also taken to baking cakes over lockdown and limiting myself during the week, but also knowing something yummy and homemade is there if I am feeling a bit rubbish. Nigella has some epic recipes.

Definitely so much better with booze. I'll just have a glass of red now and won't go back for a second.

But tea, I just don't know if I can live without it!

Semele5069 · 08/06/2020 10:19

Having a bit of a freak out this morning! I'm 9DPO and just noticed some bleeding when I went to the toilet. My period isn't due till Friday and I've always been regular almost to the hour.

I had a chemical pregnancy in April, but my first proper period arrived exactly 28 days from the start of miscarriage bleeding, so it looks like my cycle wasn't affected.

Could this be implantation bleeding? It's more than spotting but so far not heavy, but I'll keep monitoring it.

The only thing thing different this cycle is that I've been taking Pregnacare Conception supplements for about 6 weeks and I've heard some people say they can mess with your cycle.

God. I was managing to be so calm this 2WW as well!

FridaKFangirl · 08/06/2020 10:23

@farfromperfect82 & @M4v3r1ck I was reading your posts while enjoying a mug of my favourite filter coffee! Oops - luckily I only tend to have one a day. Though the way this week at work is going already...

FridaKFangirl · 08/06/2020 10:25

@Semele5069 sorry I didn’t see your post when I was posting.

Sorry to hear about your CP. I’m no expert in implantation bleeding or anything. Hopefully one of the more knowledgeable posters will be along soon!

Sending hugs

Happyhappy37 · 08/06/2020 10:56

Good morning all, hope everyone is doing great.
@Semele5069 don't freak out. There's no way of knowing right now, just go with the flow of things. Obviously, it's hard to do, but our bodies are a serious manipulator. You're doing great 🙂. 🤞🏾 For you.

I don't know where I am in my cycle atm. Tbh honest its very hard for me to maintain a DTD every other day or day with my hubby. He has no problems doing it all the time. It takes me a few days to recoup if I DTD two days in a row. (I did it Friday and Saturday more than once , and I am still recouping). 🙈 I also need to exercise and I feel rundown.
Seriously, am just going with the flow of my body.
Sending you all positive energy 🙏🏽

Lynnysong · 08/06/2020 11:25

Hi everyone, I've been doing a bit of reading and found there's a study that says sex just before implantation can hamper it. Anyone else heard this? I'll include a link.

That's sex between 5dpo and 9dpo and it talks about contractions and inflammation response too.

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4074557/

farfromperfect82 · 08/06/2020 11:29

@lynnysong I heard that too

Lynnysong · 08/06/2020 11:30

So fully committed now, bought decaff tea lol. I've also bought Brazil nuts, beetroot, and pomegranate juice. I've heard they can help implantation but it may be slightly nutty to buy into it.

Any other diet tips? :) fx

Kangaroo77 · 08/06/2020 11:30

Hello ladies! Back in the game. Ovulating today or did in the night. Anyway baby dust to all. Let's have some positives this month! 👏🏻🌈🤞🏻💓

Lynnysong · 08/06/2020 11:34

@farfromperfect82 well anything that will help :)

Loladoodle · 08/06/2020 11:35

@MrsTtobe by Friday I’ll be shouting “do it! Do it! Do it!!” I’ll try not to be too annoying 😅 can’t promise anything though... 😬

Cd2 here yawwwwnnn 😴

Loladoodle · 08/06/2020 11:37

@Lynnysong that’s interesting 🤔 I’m usually not much in the mood by that stage of my cycle so should be able to do that (or not do it as it states). Good to know re beetroot etc I have some fresh juices in my fridge now as starting my new healthy lifestyle today... and some of these happen to be beetroot 👍 yay!

Moominmiss · 08/06/2020 11:48

How’s everyone doing today?
Can I make a confession......I’m 7dpo and not only did I test today, I also tested at 5 and 6dpo 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ All of course perfectly white bfn’s!

I don’t feel at all positive we’ve cracked it this month, I feel totally normal, not a hint of a symptom of any kind. So in preparation for next cycle I’ve just ordered 50 more ovulation tests and 50 more pregnancy tests (one step ic ones).
I also decided which supplements to go for and actually ordered some ubiquinol so actually excited to start taking those.
If by some miracle I did get a bfp this month then I’d be more than happy to have wasted the £60 I spent on the ubiquinol 😂

Sunbird24 · 08/06/2020 11:48

Not sure if I’m glad or jealous about not dtd, it’s been over 2 years now... I’ve had some problems with my hips in the past and the only position that my ex could ‘perform’ in was the one that most painful for me!

Loladoodle · 08/06/2020 12:13

@sunbird and @Lynnysong you gals definitely have positives for doing this alone too! Without a doubt. There is no pressure on/from a partner, you can focus solely on your own needs, you can plan things how you would like them to go and best of all when you get your little baba you do not have to share him/her! 👍 it’s a brave choice to make and I really hope it all works out for you both as women you know what it’s like to want to have a child more than anything else in the world, and I really believe that a great mother can be everything a child needs. Hats off to you ladies for following your dream and being proactive to make it happen 👏

The spotting is now definitely AF! I'm out this month then, best of luck to the rest of you!

To introduce myself properly, I'm 36 and trying TTC #1 with my boyfriend who is 32 (another cougar here!) since last September.

We've had 2 early losses but trying to be encouraged that I seem to be able to get pregnant naturally!

MrsTtobe · 08/06/2020 12:26

@Happyhappy37 😂😂 god bless you and your lady bits. You take some time to recover before getting back on it. 🙈😂
My oh the same... wants it bloody twice a day. 😳

@Loladoodle 😂😂😂😂 fingers crossed it gets to that stage 😂😂😂 CD 25 today 😬😬😬 and my anxiety is off the scale!!

MrsTtobe · 08/06/2020 12:29

@Semele5069 sorry about AF lovely, focus on the positives though, like you say you know you can pregnant naturally so that's good. Im sorry for your losses! I recently had a miscarriage at 11 weeks pregnant, it's heartbreaking isn't it. 😔
Welcome to the group and good luck! So funny how many of us on here are cougars though. 😬😂 x

Dreamcatcher007 · 08/06/2020 12:35

Hello ladies! I hope I could join? Could I get some advice on using ovulation sticks? Do you basically DTD for 2 days after getting the second line, or more?

Do you ever not get the second line that’s as thick as the ‘test’ line, at all in a month? I’ve just started using the cheap IC ovulation sticks from Amazon, and so far the second line is really faint, although I’m supposed to ovulate in 2 days according to the app...

Do you find it enough to test just once a day after waking up, or do you test again during the day to make sure you don’t miss the surge?

I’ve read somewhere that for women closer to 40, the surge can happen really close to ovulation (and after it might even happen after the egg has already been released). How long do you find you have between the positive ovulation kit and the ovulation itself?

Thank you!!

Loladoodle · 08/06/2020 12:36

@mrsttobe and @Happyhappy37 dp is the same.. literally could dtd over and over and over. During the beginning of my cycle I quite enjoy this- although sometimes I’m like “no more! I’m broken!!!” 😂😂 there is def such a thing as too much stamina! I can’t keep up!

OP posts:
farfromperfect82 · 08/06/2020 12:37

@loladoodle 💯 agree !

Dreamcatcher007 · 08/06/2020 12:39

@Lynnysong This is really interesting research! I think my DH might actually be happy to have a bit of rest from the relentless ‘trying’! Grin

FridaKFangirl · 08/06/2020 12:49

Thank you @Lynnysong for that research... I was starting to feel a bit gutted as yesterday DH was really knackered bless him and today has somehow put his back out! (Silver Foxes eh?!?)

I’m not tracking but have a sneaky suspicion I ovulated on day 8/9 (12 days after last pill) it would be early but definitely felt like it... we DTD plenty before and a couple of days after then so I’m now telling myself it’s actually no bad thing that he’s out of action for a few days now!

Silver (🦊) Linings and all that!

lastditchattempt20 · 08/06/2020 13:36

Hi all! Sorry to those whose AF has arrived. Onto next month! I'm on CD 5 and glad to see that AF is easing off. Was worried it would go on for longer as it's the first off coil. @MrsTtobe I'll be cheering with @loladoodle 😂 but completely understand why you're anxious. I actually quite look forward POAS- can't stand not knowing, even if it's BFN.

Lynnysong · 08/06/2020 14:49

@Loladoodle thanks for your kind words, I'm really touched x
