@MrsTtobe I've been told having CE doesn't affect fertility at all.

I'm not sure whether treating it would have an effect or not; I've read that it can have an effect on the mucous producing cells, so on that basis I've not thought about having it treated.

The spotting itself isn't a problem. Worrying that I'm out every month though is a problem, just as it gets me down and I lose all hope.

What I really want to know:

Do some women get spotting every month but still get a BFP when after the spotting??

🤔

Loladoodle · 10/06/2020 15:22

@selina37 I think it was you asking re the dye test... it wasn’t painful more uncomfortable than anything and over quickly. Not the most pleasant experience but as I say over fast. Also re spotting - prior to my ds being conceived I had spotting every month pre af. The month I conceived I didn’t have any but then spotted the whole way through my pregnancy from about 15 weeks until the end. Spotting naturally terrifies us but doesn’t always mean the worst!

@LT103 😂 wonder what 8 years older is classed as?!

@Elspethelf @loladoodle. Not sure what that makes me but that’s the funniest thing I’ve read all day Haha

selina37 · 10/06/2020 16:46

@Loladoodle ah thank you! Hoping I can get this test really soon.

And re the spotting, thank you again, that's reassuring. I actually know myself that I had about 5 days of (quite heavy but watery) spotting with DS! But i just can't convince myself now that I could be in with a chance! Plus I got pregnant first try back then (and with DD too). So I know myself it's possible but I guess I'm just a Debbie downer now 🙁

Loladoodle · 10/06/2020 17:21

@selina37 don’t be hard on yourself this process is very taxing, not easy at all. We all feel it at different times it’s perfectly normal to feel that way.

@lucieloos ah noooo! Sorry af has arrived 😔 try b6 for lengthening LP. I take it as it helps pms symptoms but def gives me a 2-3 day increase in cycle too.

Good evening ladies, hope all is well. I've been so busy at work today.
Just wanted to check in on you all 😊

Sleeeeeepy · 10/06/2020 18:12

@selina37 when I was unknowingly pregnant with DS2 I had two five day periods a month apart. If I'd known I was pregnant I'd have been bricking it but I was just tracking my cycle in an app so thought there was 0% chance I was pregnant. I only did a test at 7.5 weeks, went for a scan at 8.5 weeks and checked back what had happened in between then and when I must have conceived 😬

Matilda19 · 10/06/2020 18:29

Tried again tonight checked it on app was 0.17 yesterday and 0.71 today so that's a good increase i think..
What number are we looking for? *

Hope everyone is doing ok today!

Ok to ask a question? Turns out I’ve spent half my day googling things and not just going about my day as planned. AF definitely late. Mild cramping since saturday though now I think it’s just because I’m worrying. Feel slightly nauseous/not hungry, again probably just stress. Been spotting for 3 days now. First 2 days was just one or 2 episodes. Today it had been less amount but more consistent but still no AF which I expected would come today after the spotting.

My question? Me and my OH decided at the start of the year we would consider ttc tho only really started in last month or 2. I don’t think I am pregnant this month looking back ate timing but obv it has been on my mind because things aren’t happening This cycle as normal. However when I think about the fact I may be, im panicking not excited. Is that normal? OH is very much for the what happens, happens opinion. Very chilled about it all. I’m the opposite. I know it’s what I want but the idea of it actually happening scares me! Think I will need to get over this at some point!!

selina37 · 10/06/2020 18:36

@Sleeeeeepy wow, two periods!

I had no idea with DC1, found out at the doctors at 7 weeks, feeling sick as a dog.

I had 5 days of bleeding with DC2 but for some reason I absolutely just KNEW I was pregnant, I don't know how or why I knew, but I just did.

selina37 · 10/06/2020 18:42

@LT103 completely natural I think.

It's a huge change to life as you know it, not to mention all the changes to your body.

But, you absolutely never regret having a child. 🙂

I don't feel I embraced the whole pregnancy journey with my two children, but I think that's because my ex was a bit of an idiot, and as I was with him so young, I didn't really know much different.

Having a child with someone you love and who wants a child as much as you, and enjoying that journey together must be something to be treasured.

Sunbird24 · 10/06/2020 18:55

@LT103 not weird at all, some of us are just natural worriers!
I’m going for IVF but still terrified of all the life changes that will follow if it actually works.

Happyhappy37 · 10/06/2020 19:03

@Matilda19 that's really good, get busy DTD tonight. I not too sure on the numbering, but mine showed a reading of 108 and said it was LH peak. Yayyy you are almost at your peak.🤞🏾🤞🏾 For you sending you lots of positive energy 🙏🏽

Late last night I had terrible ovulation pain had to take pain killers but no DTD for me.

lucieloos · 10/06/2020 19:32

@Matilda19 I would say that's pretty much positive. I would start dtd as much as possible over next few days!

@LT103 I think that's really normal to be panicked even though it's something you want. It's a big change and I think it happens to most of us at some point.

@Sunbird24 good luck with the ivf. I had many cycles for our current 2 children who are now 3 and 18 months. I'm soon to be 41 and whilst I'm desperate for a 3rd and final baby I don't think we could afford another few rounds so we are trying naturally. We never really pinpointed anything definite that was wrong fertility wise apart from some dodgy sperm which has made a big improvement so just seeing what happens. Would be amazing to have a natural conception but if it's not to be then maybe this is a gradual way out for me to accept there will be no more. Although I'm constantly swaying between signing up for more ivf and then telling myself no we really can't afford it!

Matilda19 · 10/06/2020 19:36

@lucieloos @Happyhappy37

We will defo continue the dtd we did last night and few nights in row before so hoping to again tonight and tomorrow as were both off work...

Eekkk xxx

Matilda19 · 10/06/2020 19:39

M4v3r1ck · 10/06/2020 19:48

Hey ladies, busy day today and head is mush! Sorry I'm not much help on the queries, but sending lots of love! 😘

Get all the worries and anxieties out on here! That's what we're here for! 😘 You're all doing amazing and optimising things to make this happen, but this is a huge process, so only natural to have the negative feelings creep in! Also, pesky hormones don't help sometimes...

Are we gonna need a spreadsheet of what subtypes of cougars, silver foxes, and Amazons that we all are?! 🤪😂

LT103 · 10/06/2020 19:53

@matilda19 @lucieloos @Sunbird24 thank you Flowers I think it’s just fear of the unknown and how it will change things (need to consider moving, need to sort money etc) We both want it and I know it will be a great journey, just a bit apprehensive I guess.

Time will tell. I think tomorrow is either going to be AF day or test day

@sunbird24 good luck with the IVF!!!!!

Eviesma · 10/06/2020 19:54

Hey ladies I'm Jen having my coil out tommorow to start TTC baby No3. I currently have two girls 3&5. Super excited to start again. Looking forward to getting to know you all. Xx

FridaKFangirl · 10/06/2020 20:06

Hi @Elspethelf! I know I'm late to this, but just waving to say hi! A fellow 38 year old TTC #1 fresh off the pill here...fingers crossed for all of us! :)

FridaKFangirl · 10/06/2020 20:12

@M4v3r1ck We're going to need all the spreadsheets! Maybe even a worries spreadsheet so we can register them & then forget them! :)

@LT103 - Completely natural to feel this way I think/hope(!) I've never been the most 'typical' maternal type, hence I've got to 38 and we're only now TTC. I'm also no fan of change! Confused like you - I know I want this, but I reckon I'll definitely have a sizeable mini panic alongside my excitement if I get a BFP! :)

Thank you for making me feel normal too!

Sunbird24 · 10/06/2020 20:16

@M4v3r1ck I’m sure there are pumas and jaguars as well as cougars! Can’t remember the age ranges though... may be some research required!

Happyhappy37 · 10/06/2020 20:17

Welcome @Eviesma. I came off the pill in may too. We have quite few ladies fresh if contraceptives here 🙂 good luck with your TTC journey.
