Hey @Ejb86 👋

VP91x · 25/05/2020 09:36

@Rainbowhope11 tagging you in as you're still waiting to test too 😊

Mandy0831 · 25/05/2020 09:53

Hey ladies I had my first MC in March and have been trying since. I haven’t had AF yet. I thought I was pregnant so I did a test this morning but it was negative. I’m hoping AF doesn’t come. I’m so worried. I think I should wait a few days to see what happens.

WellHurrahAndHuzzah · 25/05/2020 09:57

Thanks for the new thread @Ejb86!

This is the first time I've used a clear blue ovulation test, and I've finally got a static smiley Smile this is after MONTHS of using cheapie sticks which have always been negative!! And cheapie stick days negative today too.

I'm finding it incredibly reassuring that I am ovulating

Dipsy77 · 25/05/2020 10:10

Got my peak today so fingers crossed for this month x

VP91x · 25/05/2020 10:20

Welcome @Mandy0831 sorry that you have recently suffered a loss. How long are your cycles normally pre MC? Xx

@WellHurrahAndHuzzah amazing news - Im glad you have had success with the CB digis!!

@Dipsy77 yay to your peak 🙏 how many days until AF is due? Xx

Mandy0831 · 25/05/2020 10:31

@VP91x before my mc it was 25/26 days

VP91x · 25/05/2020 10:37

@Mandy0831 ahh okay, so you're a bit delayed. AF took 8 weeks for me to return xx

Diorissimo1985 · 25/05/2020 10:41

@2020wish just caught up with end of last thread - I’m so sorry to hear your news Flowers

VP91x · 25/05/2020 10:47

@Diorissimo1985 how are you feeling xx

Chickoletta · 25/05/2020 10:52

Hi,
I’d love to join you please. I’m 40 and have 2DCs aged 6 and 9. I had a MMC of twins in mid-April at 11 weeks (they stopped developing at around 7 weeks). Have decided that we’re going to give it another try for a couple of cycles before giving up.

AF arrived on Weds, which I was pleased about - day 33 since my MC. I’m on CD6 today.

Have bought some cheap OPK sticks from Amazon. Never used them before and have always felt that I knew when I was ovulating. Will be interesting.

I also bought some Pre-Seed, which we used last night for the first time - I know it’s not the right time, but thought we’d have a practice run. Is anyone else using it? Do you find that it has a funny smell?!

DH thinks I’m being a bit daft as we’ve always conceived easily in the past - I guess I’m just aware that, at my age, I want to give it a really good shot before we decide to stick at 2 DCs. Everyone I spoke to at the EPU went to great lengths to tell me that my fertility would be unaffected, or even improved by the MC, which was reassuring.

Losing both twins seemed like a particularly cruel twist of fate last time - not sure whether I’m wishing for twins again or a ‘safer’ singleton.

Anyway, good luck to us all!

Dipsy77 · 25/05/2020 11:02

@VP91x not till the 8th which seems like ages away think I'll have to fit a box set in although my 8 month old is a nightmare child at the minute so think I will be busy in the TWW xx

Mandy0831 · 25/05/2020 11:05

@VP91x I’m hoping AF doesn’t come. I can feel my body preparing. Before my MC I had pain on my left side I have that again yesterday.

@chickoletta sorry to hear about ur MC. Hopefully you will be pregnant again soon.

Hayleylou89 · 25/05/2020 11:05

Hey ladies. Tag us in any bfps and we will add you to the whatsapp if u want us too :) x

lma00015 · 25/05/2020 11:09

@mumoftwobeauts I Sent you my number x

VP91x · 25/05/2020 11:21

@Chickoletta I'm incredibly sorry you lost your twins. That must have been heartbreaking. I think once you have a loss you assume that your body won't do it again by itself. But it gives you some sense of control to know what is happening etc. Or at least guess.

I used preseed this cycle too. Only used 1/4 of the syringe or less. A little goes a long way with that stuff!! Xx

VP91x · 25/05/2020 11:22

@Dipsy77 hope it goes quickly for you, yeah they become quite demanding!

@Mandy0831 I hope you get your BFP or at least you can start fresh with a new cycle xx

Diorissimo1985 · 25/05/2020 12:02

@VP91x feeling a bit weird still to be honest but I’m not letting myself test again until later in the week. Back pain is still very bad and cramping occasionally, enough to make me call GP tomorrow I think!

@Chickoletta we use Conceive Plus which is similar - it’s quite watery which is strange but no smell

DBTJ · 25/05/2020 12:10

Has anyone been told they have a thin uterine lining

VP91x · 25/05/2020 12:10

@Diorissimo1985 it could be nothing but definitely contact the GP hopefully they can provide more guidance especially if you feel odd! We know our bodies best x

Diorissimo1985 · 25/05/2020 12:13

@VP91x exactly - I just feel off, and having experienced both a successful pregnancy and miscarriage I just feel... weird? Hope GP is understanding. Would welcome an early scan but perhaps they won’t if I haven’t any bleeding? Is anyone else having or had an early scan? Did you ask?

VP91x · 25/05/2020 12:18

@Diorissimo1985 yeah absolutely, always good to trust your gut feeling. Although I hope all is OK! I know if I get a BFP first thing I will do is ask if they will scan me early if not I will book a private scan they are between £50-70 normally. X

Chickoletta · 25/05/2020 12:28

@Diorissimo1985 - we were certain that I was miscarrying after being unable to find what we should do on a scan at home (DH is a vet specialising in cattle fertility and has a really sensitive scanner). Anyway, to get to the point, I phoned in a panic asking for a scan at the EPU and they said that they couldn’t give me one on the basis of what I’d said. The MW then went a bit cloak and dagger and said, I think you might be phoning back tomorrow, saying that you’ve had one-sided pain and a little bleeding... It didn’t feel right, as I had neither, but it got me a scan and sadly our fears were right.

Yours is an entirely different scenario and it’s likely that everything is fine - I’m just sharing as those seem to be the magic words for getting an early scan...

Ejb86 · 25/05/2020 12:35

@Chickoletta I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my twin girls at 16 weeks back in September. I completely get what you said about wanting singleton or twins next time. Did you know you're more likely to have twins again after conceiving twins once? Also the older we get the higher the chance of twins. I feel like I'm meant to be a twin mum. It has also changed the number of children I'd like to have in the future.

Chickoletta · 25/05/2020 13:17

That’s exactly how I feel, @Ejb86. My dad was a fraternal twin and I’m 40, so I guess the chances are high. Somehow I ‘knew’ that it was twins last time, despite my morning sickness etc being no worse than with my singleton pregnancies. I’m so sorry for your loss - it’s always awful, of course, but to have got to 16 weeks, it must have been such a terrible shock. We’re your twins identical?

I guess we’ll have to wait and see what our bodies do next time...
