Almost filled the last thread, so thought we'd better start another one. Ladies feel free to tag everyone in.

Hey @VP91x no I havent tested, I haven't got any in the house to save the temptation and I'm having to isolate now so I'm telling myself I can't get any!

VP91x · 26/05/2020 10:39

@Re6ecc4 ahh, that's a good idea!! I hope AF stays away for you 🙏

Re6ecc4 · 26/05/2020 10:46

Thanks @VP91x but I'm not feeling massively hopeful - I've had small cramping this morning

Diorissimo1985 · 26/05/2020 12:14

Ladies - if you've had early scans in previous pregnancies, how many weeks were you? I had one in my first pregnancy at 5+4 but only to confirm it wasn't ectopic and only yolk/sac could be seen. I wasn't offered one when I miscarried last month as was told it was too early at 4+6. Can't get through to GP today, I'm trying to get an appointment as have back ache and cramping.

VP91x · 26/05/2020 13:54

@Diorissimo1985 I was just over 6w at my first scan. Have you got a local Early Pregnancy Unit you can contact? X

Ejb86 · 26/05/2020 13:59

@Diorissimo1985 I had a private early scan at about 6 weeks, was told it was too soon to see anything. Went back at 8 weeks, was told she thought there were two heart beats and come back again at 9 weeks where it was confirmed.

I've never had an early scan at the hospital but my consultant said I can have one at 5 weeks this time as a reassurance after losing the girls.

Thanks both - I don’t have an EPU, it’s just the main radiology dept that does the scans. Going to keep trying GP - it’s just engaged every time I call! Might just have to go in Grin

VP91x · 26/05/2020 14:22

@Diorissimo1985 yeah, definitely keep trying. Hopefully all is Ok! If not maybe pop down to your local Urgent Care or A&E see if they can send you across for a scan? X

peonyrose87 · 26/05/2020 14:41

@Diorissimo1985 I had an early scan with my first pregnancy in December, I was 7 weeks. I hope everything is ok for you x

Jazper · 26/05/2020 14:44

@Diorissimo1985 I think it all depends on the doctor. My doctor referred me for one with my first baby as I had previously had a CP. I didn't ask him, he just offered. Though that was almost 12 years ago. I think they have tightened up a bit now, and even more so during the current climate. I could imagine it being quite hard to get an NHS early scan at the moment.
At 8 weeks though, I could see a 'blob' and a heartbeat ☺️

PinkRoses20 · 26/05/2020 18:24

Hi ladies, looking for a bit of advice. I had a miscarriage 5 weeks ago and bleed stopped completely after 2 1/2 weeks. I have been getting faint positives for the last week but don't seem to be getting clearer. I had a negative result on a supermarket test 3 weeks after miscarriage but now i'm worried this may still be a faint positive from this??

SmileyT · 26/05/2020 18:37

@VP91x I'm all good thanks, mad busy day at work and I'm expecting it will be like this all week but at least it keeps my mind occupied, I've got everything crossed this is your month.

@Diorissimo1985 I had my BFP at 6w last time and went for an NHS scan at 6w3d and they saw the heartbeat at that scan x

Tink20058 · 26/05/2020 19:32

@Diorissimo1985 hi 👋 I’m having early scan this Sunday just to check everything is progressing I had an early miscarriage 6th April so I’m so nervous I think we paid £70 but my friend sent me link for groupon and the same company are offering them for £40 at the minute maybe worth checking xx

Jazper · 26/05/2020 20:05

@Diorissimo1985
Hope you are ok and managed to get through to the GP xx

@PinkRoses20
I'm not sure on this but didn't want to read and run. I would have thought (and from previous experience) that hcg tends not to be high enough to give a positive test 5 weeks post miscarriage, however, I think it depends on how far along you were. Also, have you had a scan to check for retained tissue? I would do this, and/or request bloods with your GP

PinkRoses20 · 26/05/2020 20:10

@Threnody @Jazper thanks ladies i will give it a couple of days and see if there is a change on test. I was 11 weeks when the hospital confirmed growth had stopped at 7 1/2. No further scans as they seemed to think all was ok with negative test and that bleeding had stopped.

PinkRoses20 · 26/05/2020 20:12

Oh god i'm replying to people in wrong posts .. can you tell i'm new here GrinGrin

Rainbowhope11 · 26/05/2020 20:52

Hi @PinkRoses20 I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope that you find this thread supportive 💕

It's probably just that the supermarket test was less sensitive than the other test that you took. I had faint positives for weeks after my MC because it took ages for my Hcg levels to drop. If you are concerned, I would request a blood test to check your levels. Xx

PinkRoses20 · 26/05/2020 21:02

Thanks @Rainbowhope11. I'm sorry to read about everyones experiences on here. There is some comfort in having people to share this with.

Yes that was my thinking, my period is normally like clockwork so if it doesn't appear in next week or so i think i will start to worry.

peonyrose87 · 26/05/2020 22:15

I'm out for this month ladies😔 AF arrived about an hour ago. Absolutely gutted. Four months since my miscarriage, and this is my third period since. I know it's still early days but when everyone tells you how fertile you'll be it's so tough.

Sending lots of baby dust to everyone who is still waiting to find out this month ❤️

VP91x · 26/05/2020 22:19

So sorry that AF arriver @peonyrose87 😔.

Have lots of treats and do anything that makes you feel good. In a couple of weeks you'll be in fertile week again and another chance at conceiving. Keep positive ❤️

Rainbowhope11 · 26/05/2020 22:48

@peonyrose87 I'm so sorry that AF has arrived, again. It's totally okay to feel devastated, AF can be a horrible reminder of what we've lost😢 Try to be gentle on yourself, and take care Xx.

Re6ecc4 · 26/05/2020 22:55

I got a thermometer today!! Although it only measures to one decimal place. Is that okay??
No AF yet. Due in two days though. I dont trust the due thing on my app given how much it's been messed up since the MC!

VP91x · 27/05/2020 05:35

Morning ladies,

After my drop yesterday, my temp stayed the same at 36.31. My coverline is at 36.10 but I am not feeling hopeful now 😔😔 xx

@Re6ecc4 I think it has to be two decimal places but I'm not 100%sure. X

SmileyT · 27/05/2020 06:13

@Re6ecc4 I think for BBT they say 2 decimal places for a thermometer is best as the Movements are so small but if you have one that works to 1 decimal place it should still give you a shift post ovulation 👌🏾

@VP91x you are only 8dpo though aren't you? It could be on its way back up tomorrow, keep the faith x

VP91x · 27/05/2020 06:17

Hey @SmileyT yeah 8DPO. Scrolling through loads of charts on FF that are making me feel a little better about it.

How are you? What was your CB like this morning? X
