Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. This a safe place to give and receive support for everyone who has experienced the loss(es) of a pregnancy or baby. Pregnancy and child loss is one of the most difficult things we can experience and it can also be the most lonely time too. I hope you find this thread to be of some comfort.

I have found so much comfort from the lovely ladies on this thread and I’m hoping for lots of BFPs in coming months!

Hello ladies im still hanging around.

Nothing to report, praying my tests don't get cancelled again thanks to covid.

Wishing you ladies all the luck in the world where ever you are in your cycles.

VenusStarr · 03/11/2020 13:32

Good to hear from you @Mumlili9 I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything can go ahead as planned for you.

I think my body is still settling down, I'm cd7 today and having some light brown spotting which I've never had, even after miscarriage. My period was pretty much finished by cd3. I've started temping again, just to see what's going on.

We also got our blood karyotyping test results back - all normal. So that's good news that we aren't carriers for genetic abnormalities. Still waiting for the tests on the baby, but it's only been a month, so I would think it'll be a few more weeks for those. I feel like we're narrowing things down now. Feeling positive for my appointment tomorrow too.

How are you @kim80 @Kiki275 @EatPrayYoga @Marshmallow123? X

Marshmallow123 · 03/11/2020 13:51

Hi @VenusStarr

Good luck for your appointment tomorrow!

I’m just out of a dr appointment and I have to go for some kind of different scan as there is still endometrium lining tissue or something.....I just want all of this to be over so we can try again. Feel like we are being tripped up at every hurdle. After this scan they will see if they need to do the camera thingy....

Hope the rest of you are having better days!!

kim80 · 03/11/2020 13:57

Hi @VenusStarr and @mumlili9 good to hear from you both.

I have my fingers crossed for both of you that you still get the appointments and results you need.

I also have nothing to report im on cd5 so going to start opks soon to find out what this month brings. Im glad im back to normal though and kids feel slightly relieved to have had my first af. All I can fo is try again this month 😊.

Hope your all well @marshmallow123 @Kiki275

X

Kiki275 · 03/11/2020 22:08

@Marshmallow123 I'm sorry you still have further investigations to go through. It's difficult being patient when it's something you want so badly.

@VenusStarr thanks for the link, I've completed it and quite a number of people from my sons due group have too. Fingers crossed for SANDS.x

I'm on CD15 and not even a hint of a positive OPK. I wish my cycles would just regulate. So glad I've started testing although pretty bored of it already. Otherwise I'd have wrongly assumed discharge meant ovulation, which is probably where I'm going wrong. DH is happy though as he gets his wicked way more routinely for longer 😂 x

VenusStarr · 05/11/2020 17:55

Hi everyone, hope you're OK.

I had my appointment yesterday, I have been incredibly anxious and it all built up yesterday and I ended up crying in waiting area 😢 it went OK, they took 20 vials of blood! My mind went blank when he said do you want to ask any questions, kind of feels like a wasted opportunity but I'm back in 2 weeks for my results and a plan.
He's put me on aspirin and I'm taking pregnacare plus omega 3 now plus the maximum dose of vitamin D. We're not trying yet, but hopeful he will say we can ttc again soon.

I'm also worried I have retained products as I've been getting some strange pain and discomfort and spotting / discharge that isn't normal 😢 so my GP has prescribed some antibiotics today.

Sorry to hear you're in limbo @Marshmallow123, have they booked in the hysteroscopy?

Glad things are back to normal @kim80 🤞 for ovulation soon :)

@Kiki275 sorry no ovulation yet but glad dh is having a good time 😂

Hope you're OK @Mumlili9 @EatPrayYoga xx

Marshmallow123 · 05/11/2020 18:02

@VenusStarr yes that’s the one... I went to see my doctor on Wednesday after what I believed was my first period post miscarriage. In a scan it seems there is still some placenta (apparently a tiny amount) so doctor is sending me for a hysteroscopy to get that removed. Appointment with the surgeon tomorrow who will hopefully give me a date for the procedure soon!

So do you get all your results in two weeks? 20 vials of blood is a lot! How are you feeling now?

Hope all of you ladies are well xxx

Mumlili9 · 05/11/2020 22:14

@VenusStarr so glad your appointment went well and hopefully you will have some answers in a couple of weeks.

Im ok just waiting for my hysteroscopy and results from the brain scan is driving me crazy, its totally controlling my life right now, if I stand still it just envelopes me. Im not sure I'll cope if they cancel on me.
We did manage one BD but im not sure if it was after ovulation as I usually get 2 days of blazing positive opks before I ovulate but I only got one positive test this cycle and I am testing multiple times a day. Also it wasn't as strong either. The first pic is this cycle and the 2nd one is last cycle

Hi all,

@VenusStarr im glad it went ok and dont beat yourself up about going blank when asked any questions its alot to deal with you can always ask them when you go for your results. Fingers crossed you get the go Head soon to ttc again.

Sorry to hear about the antibiotics hope you feel better soon.

@marshmallow123 sorry to hear your going through this hopefully they can get you in quick and remove it for you.

@Mumlili9 I cant even imagine how your feeling regarding your scan its only natural to be worried we will all be thinking of you.

Your charts look really positive and are stronger then what mine were last month.

I have just started resting opks after my first period since the miscarriage so hoping for some luck on pin pointing ovulation and timing the bd right 🤦‍♀️😂.

Kiki275 · 09/11/2020 08:57

Morning everyone, hope you're okay. Trying to get through to my GP for arranging a CD21 blood test. I hope they're still doing them despite Covid.

@VenusStarr glad it went well. Can you email your questions to the consultant? Even if they don't get chance to respond, you've articulated what you want to ask so they'll either have the answers ready, or you'll be able to take them with you to ask in person x

VenusStarr · 09/11/2020 13:49

Morning @Kiki275 I think I'm just going to note down my questions for when I see him next week.

I've been feeling incredibly anxious this last week, been crying a lot. Had a difficult counselling session this morning and my eyes are red raw - just logged into work now!
I'm worried my cycle hasn't regulated yet, I'd have ovulated by now normally (and did following my other losses), but temps are erratic and I've not even got a second line on my opks. I started pregnacare last week and I'm wondering if they've affected it. Dh is reassuring me this is all normal, but witb my anxiety, it's just spiralling. If I've not ovulated by the time I see him, that's another question for the list. I also have had red and brown spotting on and off since my period, which isn't normal for me.

Hope everyone is doing OK ❤️

Kiki275 · 09/11/2020 14:27

@VenusStarr pregnacare has Zinc?? which might affect cycles. If you are worried though, do ring or email, if only so you're not stressing out so much over the next week or so.xx

VenusStarr · 09/11/2020 17:50

Thank you @Kiki275, I've decided to revert back to seven seas conception, it's stressing me out too much. I'll take the pregnancy vitamins once I've confirmed ovulation. I'm taking the omega 3 and extra vitamin D, it's on my list to discuss with him at my results appointment next week.

Did you get through to doctor today? Xx

Kiki275 · 09/11/2020 18:43

@VenusStarr yes thanks. Got bloods taken to check Progesterone and Thyroid function. They took three separate vials, one of which was for glucose so hopefully I'll get a thorough screening and hear back soon.x

I've got a pack of seven seas waiting for me to finish my current batch of pregnacare, purely because Asda don't do them 😂 x

Kiki275 · 11/11/2020 14:35

Hi everyone,

checking in, hope you're all okay?

Been back to give more blood to check thyroid function. Hopefully that'll come back needing LevoThyroxine and I can chat to GP about impact on TTC. Now in TWW but gut feeling is we didn't DTD enough when my fertile window finally arrived x

kim80 · 11/11/2020 16:58

Hi everyone,

@Kiki275 that's good news so hopefully will get some answers from the gp good luck at the end of the tww.

I'm currently on cd13 with no sign of ovulation on the opks yet so not sure whats going on I'm hoping its just late and not that I'm not ovulating and its just a bit slower at the moment. Driving me insane not knowing what's going on.

Hope all you other ladies are well and ok. 😊

VenusStarr · 11/11/2020 18:06

I'm with you on the lack of ovulation @kim80 it's driving me insane, I have no second line on my opks and my temps are erratic. We're not trying yet (see the specialist next week for my results) but I just want my body to be normal. It's cd15 today. I think I can deal with an anovulatory cycle, but not a delayed ovulation. Cd15 is the latest I've ever ovulated - I know it's not typically late, but it's abnormal for me as I'm. Usually cd10/11. I did stop the pregnacare and I'm back on seven seas conception.

@Kiki275 I'm on levothyroxine - my thyroid wasn't massively over, 3.06 but for fertility it's better to be closer to 2. Interestingly the new doctor I'm seeing didn't feel the levothyroxine was necessary, but I'd rather stay on it. X

Kiki275 · 11/11/2020 19:13

Thanks ladies 😊

That's good to hear. I'm hoping they do prescribe the levothyroxine. Feel like I've been living in a cold fog the last few months. Need to shift a few pounds though so hoping it won't hinder that as I've read it can x

kim80 · 13/11/2020 07:24

Hi ladies,

Hope your all doing OK.

@VenusStarr I am making myself so stressed about it I actually brought the clear blue ones as was using the easy at home app ones but I'm cd15 without a hint of a positive which is worrying me is my body working properly. So fully feel for you. How long do you continue testing for? I get periods maybe out of whack as this will be my first month to month period since the smm but I would have thought some sort of sign of ovulation. I'm so worried that because I had to go in twice they might have damaged me 😭. I will keep testing and see what happens.

@Kiki275 any news on your blood tests 🤔

@marshmallow123 @mumlili9 hope your both OK x

Kiki275 · 13/11/2020 07:40

@kim80 nothing yet, I'll ring later to check.

If it's of any reassurance I got a positive at CD15 last month, then CD18 this month. I've not had any regularity though since my loss. I'd keep testing and try not to get too disheartened x

Mumlili9 · 13/11/2020 08:33

@kim80 hi im ok hun I understand your worries I to have the same thoughts. I'll find out on the 20th for definite when I have my hysteroscopy. If nothing happens hun just have a chat with your doctor

VenusStarr · 13/11/2020 08:49

@kim80 I'm still in the same boat, cd17 today and still no lines on my opks. I'm still doing my temps and I've had quite a few days of my usual post ovulation temps. I had what I thought was a period on 28 October but very light and on cd3 I had a ton of ewcm, so part of me is wondering if that wasn't a period and was just a random bleed and maybe I ovulated around cd3-6. I've pretty much had brown spotting most days since. I'm trying not to stress or be angry about it but it's so frustrating. I'm seeing my doctor next week's for my test results so if I've not had my period or ovulated by them, I'm hoping he can help.
I've tested everyday at least twice - I just use the cheap amazon ones so do it in the afternoon / early evening. Definitely get in touch with your GP if it continues.

@Kiki275 🤞 for your bloods.

Good to hear from you @Mumlili9 how are you feeling about the hysteroscopy? Glad to hear that's going ahead xx

Mumlili9 · 13/11/2020 11:11

@VenusStarr im ok hun just wanting to get it done so i know where I stand and weither to bother continuing to try anymore. Im told that after 40 the NHS are very limited in the treatments that they offer.

Kiki275 · 13/11/2020 14:12

So just had confirmation of sub-clinical hypothyroidism and antibody positive. Don't require treatment yet but to let them know straight away if I do.
Just googled what effect it has on pregnancy, not a wise move 🤦‍♀️ x

VenusStarr · 13/11/2020 14:30

Oh @Kiki275 ❤️❤️ are you on levothyroxine now? What was your result? What's the antibody? Is it thyroid antibodies? The good thing is they have found it before your next pregnancy xx

Hopefully the hysteroscopy brings some answers for you @Mumlili9 would you consider private treatment? X
