Hello everyone,

I am 37 going on 38 in December. TTC baby number 3. Came off the pill on the 1st may (2020). Previously I was on syanna press( depo).
I ovulated yesterday 😊
I only just finished my period on the 9th so didn't expect ovulation just yet. Also I am very new to using ovulation test. This is my second time using it. I am using the easy@home brand.
I have two boys ages 15 and 3years.❤️

Please join on this journey with me, so we can cheer each other up, share advice and information etc..

Good luck to all. FlowersSmile

Looks delish @Happyhappy37 and what's that very healthy looking green drink? I've been trying to have a smoothie every morning but i get so bored of them. 🙄

Lynnysong · 17/05/2020 21:45

@Kangaroo77 I'm 14dpo and I only had that cm this cycle I think so I'm hoping that is good. And for you too fx

@Chlo2701 I hope the cm and twinges are a good sign. I've had some stomach cramps since 9dpo they aren't so bad today. x

@BattenburgBerry sorry about your bfn that sucks, hope it turns around and af stays away fx

@Happyhappy37 I know I chickened out lol, I'm just checking my temp every morning, if it stays up I'm in with a chance. Two days to go. fx I got a little bit done. I'm not in a rush its for next year, thought I'd do a bit since I'm on furlough just now. And yeah you'll be 2dpo today.

@Flutterby8 It is weird when you're cramping and you don't normally. I've been like that this cycle and I'm not normally. So hope it's a good sign for you. I hope you feel better x

@MrsTtobe Dinner looks amazing, you've been really productive today, so impressed. Lots of baby dust for this cycle. fx :)

I don't use the opks, just check for the fertile cm and I track temps in an app called femometer. It's really good, you can put everything in it. :) The temps go up the day after you've ovulated and stay up until the day before your period. For me they do, some women's temps go down on the day of their period.

So if my temps stay up then I will probably have a bfp when I test. I'm really chuffed they went up today, temps don't normally just before af. I'm so hoping that's a good sign. fx

Happyhappy37 · 17/05/2020 21:48

@MrsTtobe got it in Sainsbury's yesterday. I haven't made a homemade one for a long while now.

MrsTtobe · 17/05/2020 22:45

@Lynnysong thanks lovely. Im feeling excited to start trying. Just need to get this AF out of the way.
Sending you all the luck in the world. I really do have everything crossed for you. 🙏❤

@Happyhappy37 sounds very good. Will have to have a look. Was it nice? We brought a ninja (blender) and it's really good. I love making them but I get bored of drinking them. 😂

Lynnysong · 17/05/2020 22:50

@Kangaroo77 Not tomorrow lol. I'll test if my temp is still up on Tuesday morning. Because that would mean af will be late. xx

Thank you for your support. It's really amazing to be talking about this will other women going through the same thing. fx and baby dust for us all :)

Lynnysong · 17/05/2020 22:54

@MrsTtobe Thank you x it would be so wonderful. Totally the same for you, I have heard woman are more fertile after, I hope everything goes amazing for you fx xx

taraRoo · 17/05/2020 23:08

@happyhappy37

Thanks for stating this! I'm 38 and ttc #2. My son is 22 months. I literally had unprotected sex today for the first time and I'm sooo anxious. I got pregnant on the first cycle last time. I was pretty ambivalent abut having kids (hence leaving it to 36) but now I have one I'm desperate for #2. So scared it won't happen or that the road will be bumpy. I was so relaxed last time.

Happyhappy37 · 18/05/2020 00:29

@MrsTtobe it was very nice.
@taraRoo welcome to our journey. Wow you are very blessed, I hope you will your BFP on first cycle once again. Don't be scared Hun, we are all here in the 35++ journey together. 😊

Hello everyone

Can someone recommend a good app I can download to track my cycle / ovulation etc

I have no idea what I'm doing!! Might go get some folic acid. Is pregnacare any good??

Kangaroo77 · 18/05/2020 08:26

Morning. Personally I like fertility friend as their chart is really interesting and easy to use. Plus it's free.

Welcome to all the new ladies. 🥰

I'm 8dpo today and I swear I 'feel' pregnant today. I've been getting cramping and tugging/twinges yesterday and this morning plus my boobs feel a bit heavier and tingly today. I couldn't lie on my front this am. Will have to see.

How's everyone feeling? Xxx

PostieGal · 18/05/2020 08:39

Hi all!
I haven't read the whole thread as there's soooo many pages, but I just thought I'd jump in with something for you all to try, I'm 37 (38 in Oct) and am currently 19 weeks pregnant with my first. We conceived on the seventh cycle of trying.
Sorry if someone has suggested this already, but when I was ttc I didn't see anyone suggest it... it just happened.

In addition to everything you ladies are doing, have your men changed anything?? It may be a complete coincidence but around the time we conceived my OH changed up his exercise regime. He went from doing a load of cardio to hitting the weights... theoretically increasing his testosterone production. If your fella is a gym buff already then lockdown isn't going to help this (unless you have weights at home), but if your man doesn't do any resistance training already, maybe he could start? Start with body weight training now ready to get in the gym as soon as it opens? Press ups, squats (with a backpack perhaps), lunges/split squats, pull ups if you've got somewhere appropriate? Just a thought! Wink

Muda · 18/05/2020 08:41

Good morning everyone,
Hope you don’t mind if I tag on too.
I’m 36 and my partner is 38 we are trying to conceive baby number 1 and have been trying for a while now. We are waiting for the Drs to be up and running again properly to go and get some advice/help. One of the hardest thing is just not knowing whether we can actually have children or not and have we left it too late.

Lynnysong · 18/05/2020 08:52

Morning everyone and hi to the new people :) Hope everyone has a lovely day today

Fertility friend is very popular, I'm only using the Femometer app because I bought their thermometer. You can pay for extras on it and they do analysis stuff with your data.

Temp is still up today so af won't be showing up tomorrow. It's cd 29 tomorrow so I really need to test. Fx my temp is still high. It's 36.80 today. I feel really bloated and hot. Apologies if this is tmi but I'm normally quite um, eager to bd before af. And I'm not at all just now. Looking for signs lol

Hope we all get our bfps xx

MrsTtobe · 18/05/2020 09:33

Hi to all the newbies.

Morning Lynny... I'm so excited for you. Please test as we are all behind you and desperate to find out.

I use ovia but im very bad at inputting. I don't input symptoms or temp or anything like that. I only use it so I know roughly when AF is due. But you can input lots on there if that's what you like to do. 😊

@Kangaroo77 fingers crossed for you. When will you test? How many dpo do they say is the earliest you can test? X

Kangaroo77 · 18/05/2020 09:41

@MrsTtobe I caved and tested this am with fmu. Tbh both my previous pregnancies tested positive at 8dpo but that was quite a wile ago and I know it's really really early still. I just have tons of cheap pregnancy tests so though s*d it 😂. I'll try again at 10 dpo.

Kangaroo77 · 18/05/2020 09:41

Should have said it was BFN obvs

Flutterby8 · 18/05/2020 10:46

Hi to everyone new joining today!! Good luck to all of you in your journey!!!

@Lemonlimeorange i downloaded 3 apps to try at the begining of this cycle based on recommendations from this group! I have been using Flo, Ovia and Fertility Friend.
They all vary massively from each other in predictions.
Flo, I dont really rate, told me I had a fertile window of 12 days 🤔 its also not as informative?
Ovia is good and easy to use and gives you little snippets of what your symptoms mean on the home screen which is nice.
But Fertility Friend just seems more accurate? The graph is nice and clear, it updates quickly according to your data as well and seems to be on the ball for me this month.
None are 100% right though as nobodys cycle is ever spot on and the apps just work by data stats.
Try a few and see how you feel?

Does anyone use apps to track their OPK's??
I've tried but depending how spot on the photo of the stick is depends how the result is interpreted. Lile it was a high reading but because it was a bit dark in the room, it told me it was low 🤷🏼‍♀️

MrsTtobe · 18/05/2020 10:59

@Kangaroo77 what date is your AF due? Yes try again in a couple of days. 🙏

Happyhappy37 · 18/05/2020 11:14

Good morning everyone.

@musiceverywhere welcome. From reading your post, you sound excited to get the ball rolling. Baby dust to you 🤰😊
I am thinking of getting the vit D and folic acid too.

@PostieGal welcome and thank you for the advice. It's something to consider, to get my MR to go gym is a whole other ball game 🙈🙈.

@Muda welcome. Wishing you good luck on your journey. Have been checking ovulation?
@Kangaroo77 morning and sorry about your BFN today, fingers crossed it changes to a BFP in a couple of days.

Muda · 18/05/2020 12:08

I use Ovia and usually test with OPK but this month I decided no to take any tests and just see what happens to mix it up a bit. Pretty sure AF is on her way in the next few hours though!
When is everyone else’s AF due?
Have people been cutting things out of their diet or increasing to try and help? I went caffeine free a few months ago to see if
that would make any difference.

Happyhappy37 · 18/05/2020 12:19

@Muda ok great. My Af is due 2nd of June
I really really trying to eat more healthy (it's a struggle). Currently 3dpo

I started doing brisk walking at least 3 times per week. I used to be good at exercising but, for some reason I lost my mojo, and struggling to get it back. 😔
