Hello everyone,

I am 37 going on 38 in December. TTC baby number 3. Came off the pill on the 1st may (2020). Previously I was on syanna press( depo).
I ovulated yesterday 😊
I only just finished my period on the 9th so didn't expect ovulation just yet. Also I am very new to using ovulation test. This is my second time using it. I am using the easy@home brand.
I have two boys ages 15 and 3years.❤️

Please join on this journey with me, so we can cheer each other up, share advice and information etc..

Good luck to all. FlowersSmile

@Loladoodle 😂😂 I will keep working on you! 😂😂 Honestly I just can't face looking at a negative test. I'm dreading even buying one! Was going to get one yesterday when in Asda just for if and when the time comes and ive got one in ready but I couldn't do it. I got all awkward and walked straight past them. 🙈😂 I think I need help! 😜😂

Get the weekend out the way and your AF will be nearly done and my tww will be nearly done. 😬
Meant to be crap weather so I'm going to hibernate and eat lots of nice food and potter all weekend I think. X

Loladoodle · 05/06/2020 10:20

Yes the weather is not good! I’m going to do some walking (and try not to fall again) and cook some nice food before I begin healthy eating on Monday

musiceverywhere · 05/06/2020 10:47

I had forgotten how crap periods are. So uncomfortable at work. Don't think I've brought enough sanpro to work and anxious about flooding (which has happened before ) Can't wait time get home to chocolate, pjs and sofa. @Loladoodle I'm with you in the AF misery!

Bearhug9 · 05/06/2020 10:57

@MrsTtobe that's exactly how I am with testing Confused. I have to pluck up the courage to even buy one! And by the time I've faffed around enough my period has usually started

Loladoodle · 05/06/2020 11:03

@musiceverywhere it’s horrid! 😫 hope your day goes quickly in work, wine, pjs and choc is the only answer! Worst part is full flow hasn’t even started yet and I’m in agony- I also had a weeks worth of painful cramps pre af! I mean how much more?! Meh! 😒 very grumpy loladoodle here... avoid like the plague!

Happyhappy37 · 05/06/2020 11:07

Good morning all.
I think it's a nice day to chill out, suits the weather well.
@Loladoodle and @musiceverywhere cuddles to both of you. Af will be over soon.

I will be doing some exercise at home today, instead of going out. Plan on cooking something healthy today. I am not too sure what my weight is at the moment, so I will be buying a scale.

Oh yeah @FridaKFangirl I didn't know about the poas thing too😄

Positive energy to you all 😊

Darling fiance has been asked to plan for work training in july.. Went in to panic mode internally thinking what if june doesn't bring bfp and we need him around for fertile time in july!!!
Tcc is taking over my world

Pleased builders are here to now keep me occupied xx

Happyhappy37 · 05/06/2020 13:01

@Matilda19 🤞🏾 fingers crossed for you.
At least for now you have some distraction with builders. How are you getting on with finding carpets to match decor?

Yayyy me‼️ did a whole 25minutes workout, loads of sweet sweat. Feels good. 👊🏽😄

Well done to all the exercisers! I’m just walking everyday at the moment- I keep telling myself once I lose some weight I’ll try and pluck up the courage to turn it into a run/jog!

@Loladoodle @musiceverywhere sorry your AFs are crappy. I’m feeling you with the pjs sofa and chocolate and I’m not even on 😆

Lesmare12 · 05/06/2020 14:15

Hi all, never written on one of these forums but have read a few in the last couple of months. I turned 36 this month and have been TTC for the last 3 cycles. To be honest though think it was only last month that we did everything ‘properly’!! My cycles range from 30 - 33 days and have seemingly ‘normal’ periods each month. Really got caught up in symptom spotting this month and had convinced myself I was pregnant, especially as it was a 33 day cycle 🤦‍♀️ Very disappointed when AF started yesterday. Definitely going to try not to get carried away like that again!

Really looking for tips and hints for women of our age wanting to conceive for the first time. I’m already using the clear blue opk (and seem to get peak fertility around day 18), pregnacare conception and my husband is using wellman conception. I don’t smoke, have started introducing fertility friendly foods and do yoga regularly. Any other advice would be great!

Lynnysong · 05/06/2020 14:16

@musiceverywhere and @loladoodle Hope you get some relief soon. hugs for you :(

I'm super chuffed today, I'm 2dpo and my temp shot up to 36.71 really happy. (it was 36.54 yesterday) So I'm going to be brave and not take any progesterone cream until tomorrow. That means three natural days with high temps will confirm ovulation. Hope so much it's a magic bean. :)

So sleepy though, going for a nap now. zzz...

Lynnysong · 05/06/2020 14:20

@Lesmare12 I was advised to take folic acid by the doc 400mg a day. She didn't really say anything else except that the weight I lost last year would be helpful and to eat healthy and walk lots.

I've added in lots of other supplements just cause I'm much older. But I shouldn't think you'd need to do that. fingers crossed for you fx :)

Lesmare12 · 05/06/2020 14:27

Thank you @Lynnysong. Think I could probably do with a bit of weight loss. Don’t want to become obsessive about the whole thing but definitely sometimes hear that tick tock of the biological clock! I know 3 months (or really one done properly) is still early days so 🤞 will just need time!

Lynnysong · 05/06/2020 14:28

@Lesmare12 Oh, figuring out when you are fertile seems to be key as well. I've read lots about this. Tracking basal body temperature can help show that you have ovulated (and give you a rough guide to when you ovulate in your cycle, but it can change). Temperature goes up after you ovulate and back down at the beginning of your period. I use the femometer app to track things.

Cervical mucus can show you when you are fertile, if you fancy tracking it. Fertile mucus is super slippery, feels like egg whites and actually smells sweet (found out this recently). It can be clear and stretchy (although other types can be stretchy too). It doesn't always show though, you sometimes have to root around up there - sorry tmi

People also use opks but I've never really got the hang of them lol.

Lynnysong · 05/06/2020 14:31

@Lesmare12 You're welcome, I hope you get your bfp soon. fx

I'm going to try not to obsess but it is difficult not too. :)

MrsTtobe · 05/06/2020 15:03

Hey @Lesmare12 welcome to the group and good luck on the ttc journey. It sends us a little crazy at times so don't worry you're in good company here. 😂

@Lynnysong all looking very positive for you ❤

MrsTtobe · 05/06/2020 15:03

Well done @Happyhappy37 on the exercise. Proud of you. 😊😘

Loladoodle · 05/06/2020 15:22

@Lesmare12 welcome to the madness! 😅 it’s a good place to learn if Ttc for the first time.

I’m trying to remember some of the things I did when ds took 3 years to conceive. One I remember was eating pineapple 🍍 core certain days of cycle! Will stick to smoothies this time (might throw the core in too 😬)

I wasn’t planning to track ov but it’s actually annoyed me last cycle not knowing when so might purchase some cheap ov sticks.

Sleeeeeepy · 05/06/2020 16:42

Thanks @Happyhappy37 I love how positive you are!

I've started using my cheapie opks (yay cheap POAS fun!) but apparently have very low LH atm, I can just about see the line so at least that's an improvement on the big white space of doom.

Welcome @Lesmare12 ! This is a lovely group and very supportive.

I'm SO glad it's Friday, work has been shocking this week and I'm a bit grumpy!

FridaKFangirl · 05/06/2020 17:04

Another welcome @Lesmare12, I’m 38 and on cycle 1 of TTC number 1. This is a lovely group I’m learning lots from the ladies here.

Here’s hoping for BFPs for all of us soon x

Lesmare12 · 05/06/2020 17:07

Thanks for all your warm welcomes! I’m going to start reading back through to read everybody’s stories!

Bellabubble · 05/06/2020 17:27

@Sleeeeeepy I use the cheapy opks - and got a free app called premom where I can take a pic of the test strip to compare over my cycle - it’s pretty cool! I was low yesterday, but my body tends to peak quickly so I think today or tomo is my peak 🤞🏻

Sleeeeeepy · 05/06/2020 17:39

@Bellabubble I'm using the femometer app which says they were both zero but it might be user incompetence because I can see lines. I might have a go with premom later, thanks for the tip 😊

Matilda19 · 05/06/2020 18:21
