Hello everyone,

I am 37 going on 38 in December. TTC baby number 3. Came off the pill on the 1st may (2020). Previously I was on syanna press( depo).
I ovulated yesterday 😊
I only just finished my period on the 9th so didn't expect ovulation just yet. Also I am very new to using ovulation test. This is my second time using it. I am using the easy@home brand.
I have two boys ages 15 and 3years.❤️

Please join on this journey with me, so we can cheer each other up, share advice and information etc..

Good luck to all. FlowersSmile

Glad you got through the day @Matilda19 - sounds a bit tough. Hope you're relaxing now. Seeing an extension come together is so exciting! (although maybe stressful!) Feels like a new house!

Posy1 · 04/06/2020 20:39

Hey everyone. Just catching up on the thread here - its been so busy.
I'm 40 too, nice to see a few of us on here.
I'm trying to be a bit healthier here this month too. I'm trying to cut down on sugar as I'm so bad with sugar cravings and I feel it really affects my mood. Only really having dark chocolate now, trying porridge for breakfast and nuts / protein for snacks. Problem seems to be cutting back on the dark chocolate now though. Have already eaten more than half a 100g bar tonight. Also overall I am probably eating way more calories, but at least they are healthier calories! Maybe you can give me some sugar cutting tips @Matilda19.
I'm also doing the '30 days of yoga with Adrienne' which I'm enjoying. Would love to do some jogging again, but my pelvic floor isn't able anymore since having my daughter. 😂😂

Loladoodle · 04/06/2020 20:43

@Matilda19 sounds like a busy time in work for sure! Exciting times though with your extension... so nice to have distraction whilst ttc. It’s just so all consuming at times and as much as we try not to obsess i blame hormones for taking over and causing havoc 🤪

Loladoodle · 04/06/2020 20:45

@FridaKFangirl indeed! It’s a lovely, chatty, supportive group. Glad you feel welcome 🙏

lucieloos · 04/06/2020 20:45

I think the worst bit with ttc is all the waiting around. We wait for ovulation and then we wait around to see if af appears and then it's more waiting for ovulation again. Wish there wasn't some long time gaps.

Loladoodle · 04/06/2020 20:49

I am literally wishing my weekend away here.. the first 3 days of af are so brutal... all I want to do is curl up in a ball and sleep... obvs not possible with a little one to look after on top of working from home (impossible task in itself). Dp was great last night, he knew I was hormonal and annoyed that I had fell/hurt my knee. He played with ds and sorted him for bed whilst I relaxed with wine/bath then in to bed. He wasn’t long in from working all day. I don’t give him nearly enough credit.... must try harder 😬 (hormonal train wreck... much) 😭

Loladoodle · 04/06/2020 20:52

@lucieloos I totally agree... all we do is wait... no wonder it messes with our heads.. waiting and wishing and waiting some more... that’s why I’m determined to focus on health/exercise/diet this month .. I need a new focus/goal.

Lynnysong · 04/06/2020 21:01

@Loladoodle yeah I do deserve better and I getting happier every day. Thank you :)

I like this thread too @lucieloos I'm hoping a couple of years won't make a difference lol

Tiletiletile1 · 04/06/2020 21:04

Oh gosh no problem I won’t start a new 40+ one and split off!

My fertility has dropped off a cliff since I had my almost-4-yr-old in my mid-to-late 30s it seems Sad so would love to hear what anyone has been doing to boost their fertility!

I’ve been doing a lot of exercise and taking a bunch of vitamins.

Someone on another thread recommended taking a quarter of an aspirin a day. Is anyone else trying that? I’m going to.

Lynnysong · 04/06/2020 21:23

@loladoodle your guy sounds lovely, I hope you feel better soon, a bath, wine and a rest should do wonders lol

The waiting is ridiculous and I'm all for throwing myself into other things so I don't go crazy. Today it was sorting finances, running errands and doing housework. Tomorrow study. I need more fun things to do 😂😂

Loladoodle · 04/06/2020 21:28

@lynnysong yes you do!!!!! Tomo I’m making cocktails 😂😂

Loladoodle · 04/06/2020 21:30

@Tiletiletile1 how long have you been Ttc this time? I have heard of aspirin potentially helping but it’s not something I’ve tried.

Tiletiletile1 · 04/06/2020 21:47

Been TTC this time for about 18 months, Loladoodle. I haven’t been to my GP for tests but am going to speak to her next week and see what she says!

claireb707 · 04/06/2020 21:52

I'm 41 in 4 weeks but don't feel it (most of the time anyway), partner is 40 4 days earlier. I'm on a few 40+ groups but as pp says they're a bit quiet.
Assuming he gets his butt upstairs before I go to sleep it's our last attempt this month 😉😉🥱

Matilda19 · 04/06/2020 21:58

@musiceverywhere yes busy day. Relaxing now thinking of carpet colours which is a nice change from tcc
Thankfully fiance is full steam ahead woth dtd and excited for new bedroom

@Loladoodle definitely a busy day love my job lucky to follow ladies through there pregnancies and meet babies. Crazy how much impact diabetes has on pregnancy

@Posy1 protein all the way. Thats our moto for helping reduce sugar intake especially if gestation diabetes is a worry to anyone. Hard times at mo bet everyone is eating lots

Good luck all xd

lucieloos · 04/06/2020 22:17

@Tiletiletile1 I take a low dose aspirin every day just because it's one of the things that I did as part of my ivf protocols to increase blood flow etc so i decided to continue.

Matilda19 · 04/06/2020 23:26

@lucieloos thanks for info thats interesting

Happyhappy37 · 04/06/2020 23:44

Wow it's been really in here today , trying to catch up. Welcome to any new ladies joining us.

@Muda I am so sorry to hear of your MC, you are more than welcomed to stay with, I am positively sure you will be supported by us all. Good on your TTC 😊

@Loladoodle @MrsTtobe I finally download the couch to 5k. Thinking I'll give it a try tomorrow 🙈

@musiceverywhere I used to do Zumba years ago and liked it, so much fun. I'll probably try it out too.

@FridaKFangirl how are you doing?

@Sleeeeeepy I know our bodies are so hard to understand. Hormones are like a whole person by itself. I am just going with the flow. Don't be too hard on yourself, just flow....😊

To everyone in the TWW please don't try to get too consumed with symptom spotting ( a little consumed (a little) is okay)

It was the first time I did the TWW , when I started this thread, it was very interesting but can be heartbreaking when we don't get what we want. So it's important for us to stay grounded.
To all my lovely POAS addicts, step away from the hpt😄

Fun fact:- I never knew or heard about chemical pregnancy until I came on Mumsnet 🙈

What's your fun fact??

Sending positive thoughts and energy to you all 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Hoping everyone starts walking like a duck soon 🤰🤰🤞🏾

@Matilda19 well done for braving it 👊🏽 power to you😄. Distraction is awesome. The best gifts comes when we aren't expecting it 🤞🏾🤞🏾.

@Posy1 I am trying eat more healthy as well, my problem is carbs. I eat a lot of carbs, I rarely snack or drink juice, I don't like chocolate, will only eat it if I feel run down and need a boost.
How to get rid or replace carbs?

@claireb707 😄I hope you got to DTD and go for seconds or even thirds 😄

Lol ok am off to bed now

Morning all!

Thanks for checking in @Happyhappy37. I’m well, thank goodness it’s Friday!

Like you I’d never heard of chemical pregnancy either!

My fun fact...
I also had no idea that anyone POAS before AF was late! 🙈

Happy Friday all!

MrsTtobe · 05/06/2020 09:04

Morning all, CD 22 here. Help, the symptom spotting has officially started!! 🙄 Sorry tmi but im really wet, it's very clear but lots of it. Having to wipe lots of times after a wee! Cant remember if this is normal for my cycle at this point as only had the one AF since Jan and that was the one last month after mc.
Also, I've got a mild dull ache just on my left side. Almost like a pinchy but heavy feeling. And finally, I've been mega constipated for 2 days now. Im usually very regular and my diet hasn't changed or anything. Not getting my hopes up. I promise! 😬

So glad you lot are here! Happy Friday all xx

Loladoodle · 05/06/2020 09:29

@Happyhappy37 good for you! You won’t regret it honestly the couch to 5k is so good to build up to gradual running. It’s the best thing ever!

@mrsttobe the symptom spotting would drive you mad! Sure I had every symptom possible 🤣 hoping yours results in bfp though 👌 most of those symptoms can be either early pregnancy or pms symptom due to progesterone rise for both at this stage. Especially the constipation I get that the week before always... so annoying! How many dpo are you? Will you test early or wait it out? Just trying to live my poas dream through you now 🤣

MrsTtobe · 05/06/2020 09:39

@Loladoodle 😂😂 you know poas gives me major anxiety so I will definitely be holding out. I want to be pg without ever having to poas again. 😂😂
Not sure how many dpo exactly but im thinking at least 9! Pretty sure I ovulate early ish and cycles are short/ regular. I think AF due any time between Tues and Thurs but I would prob give it till the Mon after that before I tested. Just thinking about testing gives me palpitations! It's weird because when AF arrives im almost relieved that I don't have to poas but then that doesn't really help my situation when I'm ttc does it! 🙈😂 hope AF not to bad! 😘xxx

Loladoodle · 05/06/2020 10:03

@mrsttobe the Monday after?!!!! Whaaaat?! I can’t wait that long!!! 😂 it’s all about me you know! 🤣 (jokes) wow that is some willpower! Go you! Have you got any spare? I could do with some of that 👍

Loladoodle · 05/06/2020 10:04

Ps AF is brutal... as always 😫 be grand if I could sleep for the first 3 days of it! 😂
