Hello everyone,

I am 37 going on 38 in December. TTC baby number 3. Came off the pill on the 1st may (2020). Previously I was on syanna press( depo).
I ovulated yesterday 😊
I only just finished my period on the 9th so didn't expect ovulation just yet. Also I am very new to using ovulation test. This is my second time using it. I am using the easy@home brand.
I have two boys ages 15 and 3years.❤️

Please join on this journey with me, so we can cheer each other up, share advice and information etc..

Good luck to all. FlowersSmile

@Chlo2701 you're welcome and thanks :) I felt odd about saying my age cause I'm oldest I think. Glad you shared the article. Knowledge is power lol xx

Chlo2701 · 21/05/2020 16:17

@Lynnysong they said the link doesn't work, & I e just tried it & they're right 🙈 oh god I'm so shit at technology, I need to work this out.
What I did last time which hasn't worked, was I clicked on your link
Copied link & pasted it into another group, but it's not bloody worked but the links there🤦‍♀️ I've bloody posted it in about 5 other groups so they're all going to have the same problem I expect🙉

musiceverywhere · 21/05/2020 16:57

Hi @Sunshine1984 come on in! Thanks for that article @Lynnysong really interesting. I will definitely try and take it on board.
Would it be worth gathering a list of who is here, age (if you wish to say), cycle# etc like they have on other threads? I think you can then 'pin' it- I'm just finding myself having to scroll back through 200 messages to remember the details everyone has shared so far. I don't mind if everyone would rather not though. Smile

Lynnysong · 21/05/2020 17:06

It's got an extra bit that isn't showing when I copied it

at the front before the www bit. I hope that helps. Perhaps type it in the front after you copy it?

Lynnysong · 21/05/2020 17:07

@musiceverywhere it's a nice idea really but I'm not sure lol x

Happyhappy37 · 21/05/2020 17:12

@Sunshine1984 welcome welcome. 🤞🏾 Crossed next cycle.

@musiceverywhere it's a good idea about the pin it thing, but I don't know how.

Thank you ladies! Looking forward to sharing our stories and hopefully lots of good news! 🤞🏼

Fizzy13 · 21/05/2020 20:06

May I join in?
I'm almost 38 and ttc for #2. We have 4.5yr old.
I had hoped for a 3yr ages gap but 2 years of trying and 2 miscarriages stopped that and we gave up last summer even though basic fertility tests showed there was nothing wrong.
However now come to the realisation that I really have to try again. Not for my son to have a sibling (he is totally happy) but for me.
Bit scared to launch back into all this as it sent me kind of crazy! Might lurk a bit so it doesn't become all encompassing but will be crossing fingers for you all!

Happyhappy37 · 21/05/2020 21:21

@Fizzy13 welcome. So sorry to hear of your struggles. Hope you get what your heart desire. 🤞🏾 Crossed for you

Good morning all, I hope all is going well for everyone.
How are you feeling this morning?
😊
Woke up early with my chest feeling as if I've done lots of push-ups 😂😂. Probably it's a sign that I need to start exercising more.

Welcome @Fizzy13 :)

Good morning too @Happyhappy37.

I'm feeling a bit muddled this morning. Had the most awful lower stomach cramps last night and had lots of yellow CM (which is continuing). My cervix feels pretty soft still but not as high up as it was so not got much hope atm. Took a FRER this morning and got another BFN :( AF is due tomorrow too. Very frustrated by all of this!! I want to keep the hope alive, but feeling a bit hopeless for my chances this month!

Wishing you all lots of baby dust and love xoxo

overthinking88 · 22/05/2020 10:18

Morning - May I join as well Smile

Currently 36, and starting to TTC for No.2 Have a DD(4). Has taken a while to decide if we want another one, as very happy with DD but I know I will regret not at leas trying to give her a sibling.

Last time I came off the pill for medical reasons, so we just thought we would see what happened - and was pregnant 2 months later. Not sure it will be that easy this time - 5 years older, haven't quite lost all of the baby weight from last time (although working extremely hard on that!)

Wishing everyone lots of luck!

Kangaroo77 · 22/05/2020 10:39

@msanne feeling the same and getting bfn. Frustrating. Here with you 🥰

msanne · 22/05/2020 10:50

@Kangaroo77 ((((Hug))))

we'll get there - maybe a bit slower than expected that's all!

Happyhappy37 · 22/05/2020 11:10

@overthinking88 welcome to our journey. Good luck TTC baby dust to you. 😊
@msanne and @kangaroo77 aaww. It's terrible isn't. It's like our bodies know exactly what we want but, decide to play mind games instead. I also heard yellow CM is a good sign. 🤞🏾 Crossed af doesn't rear its head tomorrow @msanne
Sending positive thoughts and energy to you both. Keep strong. Put some music on to take your mind off things.
Also I don't understand the cervix position thing. Can we use that to determine pregnancy??

OP posts:
msanne · 22/05/2020 11:21

Hey @Happyhappy37 - thank you for your kind words. We shall see tomorrow. ...i've put on a panty liner as I feel so "wet" all the time, and literally feel like AF can start at anytime....I can't believe that I am sitting here willing my life away for a test result! haha

I've heard that if you Cervix is high up (full index finger in - sorry TMI) and soft to touch (like an ear lobe) then that is a good sign of either being fertile or having conceived. Lower cervixes (1/3 of index finger in) and a harder opening (like your nose) means that AF may arrive....of course, all of this is working a theory....

xoxo

Lynnysong · 22/05/2020 12:29

Hiya, hope everyone is well today. Wishing the weather here would be a bit more cheery.
@Happyhappy37 love your positive attitude and energy, it's really lovely, trying to learn from it x

@msanne I had heard that about the cervix but can't reach mine at all. I really did try, nearly sprained my wrist lol

So cd32 here and 19dpo, temp down again, cramping today but no af yet. Total lesson learned to go easy on the progesterone cream.

I'm talking now to 2 nice donors and feel much happier, they don't live too far from me. One is only wanting to be a donor but says he's happy to help me for as long as it takes (total darling) and the other is a west end doctor who wants to be a dad. So if the doc is nice I'll go with him and if not I'll go with the other one. :)

msanne · 22/05/2020 13:15

@Lynnysong - sounds exciting for you. At least you have options now! Plus a really high cervix too ;) Not sure how true the cervix method is, but i'm all for theories at the moment...i mean what else I am going to think about in between conference calls!!

How do you use progesterone cream - I know nothing about this yet!

xx

musiceverywhere · 22/05/2020 13:36

Lol @Lynnysong at spraining your wrist 😂That all sounds positive though, I hope you get some good progress with the donor situation 🤞🏻
Hi to all- agree that @Happy really brightens the thread up! Star May check for LH surge on OPK this afternoon, but if not showing then may give DH a night off!

lydiangel83 · 22/05/2020 13:42

Hi please can I join? 37.5 and TTC #2 as DD is 2.5 and obsessed with babies and so sociable and really want her to have a sibling. Still in pain from first labour (broken coccyx!) and had a hard time with her and various medical conditions but such a happy and loving child and don’t want her to grow up without siblings. DH took some convincing to TTC due to impact on our marriage of last few years but both recognise we want to at least try. I had red and brown bleeding for 6 day’s at 6 days post ovulation, and then period due today. Have just taken a PT and says positive but I am paranoid it is a chemical pregnancy. Has anyone had experience of this? Last time only took 2 months to conceive but that was 3.5 years ago. Thank you for reading this far and I wish you all every luck and happiness on your journeys x

Lynnysong · 22/05/2020 14:32

@lydiangel83 welcome here and congrats on your +ve, I do hope it's a sticky bean fx. It's a lovely group here and very supportive, I hope all will be well. In addition to talking here, could you give your doc a call if you're worried? x

@musiceverywhere hope you get your surge tonight :)

@msanne I am taking it without letting getting tests done aforehand so it is a bit naughty and I can't recommend it really. Cause that would be irresponsible. Because I'm older, the progesterone levels might be a little low. Making my luteal phase short now and then. I temp so I can see this. You need a decent lp to make a uterine lining for the baby. So I'm propping it up a little. Don't need as much as I used, so that's probably a good sign. Just a smidge.

Happyhappy37 · 22/05/2020 14:43

@Lynnysong thank you
Those two donors sound so promising 🤞🏾🤞🏾 crossed for you.
I do hope it all goes in your favor 🙏

@musiceverywhere thank you. Lol @ giving your husband a night off.

I've been home today, playing music and ironing. Really puts me in such positive mood. Taking a lil break now. Catching up on MN 😁 and surfing the net for blackout curtains.

@lydiangel83 welcome 😊glad to have you.
Oh my word you had such a hard labour. Hope all is well with you and DD now.

Congratulations to you I know it's hard but try and stay positive. Try to make your thoughts around this pregnancy positive.

Refrain from injecting the past chemical pregnancy unto this new one. Enjoy your positive result. 🤗🤗 Very happy for you.

Sending you positive energy 🙏

@Moominmiss hiya, are you taking red clover isoflavones? I've heard they are good for improving egg quality, and I think I'd worked out to take them between cd 3 and 7.

I wasn't sure of the dose though, apart from it goes up near the end. Can I ask how much your taking? x
