Hello everyone,

I am 37 going on 38 in December. TTC baby number 3. Came off the pill on the 1st may (2020). Previously I was on syanna press( depo).
I ovulated yesterday 😊
I only just finished my period on the 9th so didn't expect ovulation just yet. Also I am very new to using ovulation test. This is my second time using it. I am using the easy@home brand.
I have two boys ages 15 and 3years.❤️

Please join on this journey with me, so we can cheer each other up, share advice and information etc..

Good luck to all. FlowersSmile

@happyhappy37 thank you!! I couldn't jump straight into trying, it took my DH 17 years to agree to TTC... we need to do this slowly Grin

Happyhappy37 · 21/05/2020 11:33

@pinklady1207 welcome. Hope you get your BFP soon. I don't have any pregnancy test in the house and don't plane on buying any right now. Having them @home I am sure I would be testing every 5 minutes.

@Chlo2701 sorry about your BFN today 🤞🏾 Crossed it turns in your favor.
What symptoms were you having that caused you to test?

@Kay00 17 years!! How'd you get him to change his mind. Indeed do it slowly, you don't want him running for the hills 😂
Wishing you the best of luck 🙏

@Happyhappy37 I didn't really have any symptoms as such, maybe abit more CM than usual as I'm normally dry leading up to AF, & a few early twinges & tenderness in my womb, similar to AF pain but not as strong, & don't normally get them until nearer my AF x

Happyhappy37 · 21/05/2020 12:03

@Chlo2701 oh ok. Similar symptoms to me difference is I have never had PMS.

Or PMS that I've noticed before

Hi Ladies,

AF is due on saturday and am so confused about whether my symtoms are period or pregnancy-related!

I did a PT this morning and it was a BFN - which made me so sad. But then, if I was pregnant and my AF is due on Saturday, surely a test should pick something up (even if it is a faint line).

I'm been feeling so nauseous, but iwth a ravenous appetite, sour taste in mouth, cramping and lots of CM (but with a yellowy tinge) - what do you girls think? Have you ladies had any similar symptoms? I've been using the cheap PT so far but not sure if the brand of PT makes any difference?!

I am going out of my mind!!

xoxo

Happyhappy37 · 21/05/2020 12:17

@msanne glad to hear from you
aawww sorry for your BFN this morning. Just watch and see if af turns up Saturday then do another test.
Your symptoms sound promising though. 🤞🏾🤞🏾

@Happyhappy37 I see that you're 6dpo. When do you think you'll test? & do you have any children already or will this be your first?
@msanne I tested today & 10DPO, bfn, & that was on a First Response & they're suppose to be the ones to use if you test early & before AF as they're more sensitive.
I've also heard that the Clearblue early detection ones are good aswel.
So called just normal PT's that you've been using don't normally pick up a positive until after your AF is late as your Hcg won't be strong enough.
So try to get your hands on a frer or CB. As it doesn't sound like you're out this month just yet 🤞🏻x

Lynnysong · 21/05/2020 13:43

I have done my share of symptom spotting, I know the rush and excitement, don't get me wrong but I don't think I can do it anymore lol. I've been causally trying for six months and I swear that I've felt pregnant about three times.

I'm going to make rules for myself and try really hard to stick to them. Cause it's been upsetting me. And it's distracting me from doing stuff I need to be doing. I start reading forum threads with my symptoms and fall down the internet rabbit hole for hours.

I will test the day my period is due and leave it at that. Why is all this so hard? I want a baby and it might be too late. But I need to try but I can't drive myself crazy anymore about it.
No af yet but pretty soon I think.

Lynnysong · 21/05/2020 13:48

@msanne aw that sucks about the bfn. Implantation is usually between days 8 - 12 after ovulation. The majority on day 9 or 10 so that's really early to test.

I believe most cases that you hear of bfp on days 8-10 have actually miscalculated ovulation. I've done a LOT of reading lol.

But it didn't stop me from testing on 10dpo this time either. I'm going to wait next time and have fun and study and try not to think about it. fx for you and wishing you tons of baby dust xx

Lynnysong · 21/05/2020 13:54

@msanne if I've miscalculated your dpo apologies. I think I'm having trouble remembering where everyone is. If it's 12 dpo that still could be too early. fx fx

Jigglykween · 21/05/2020 13:56

@Happyhappy37 we are the same dpo. I do not think I will test, my sisters and I are all synced and send each other a jokey whatsapp letting each other know AF has arrived! So I might gauge by that if I'm late. I'm having some cramping today, similar to AF and went for 2 walks yesterday and kept needing to wee, my daughter thought it was hilarious as she told me she saw me go to the bathroom 4 times that morning already!

Jigglykween · 21/05/2020 13:57

Also meant to say am very moody / cranky. Bought summer sandals online for the kids and they claim they're too tight and wont wear them and just had a blazing row with DH over how to discipline our 13 year old, I think hes too strict, he thinks I'm a pushover.....

msanne · 21/05/2020 14:05

You gals are amazing - thank you!

@Lynnysong according to my Glow app I am 12 dpo today - so that's why I tested.
@Chlo2701 - I have gone and ordered myself a FRER today - fingers crossed it arrives for tomorrow.

If not @Happyhappy37 I will need to wait until saturday to test (but this is AF due date anyway, so should know by then).

It's awful this waiting, and i am so fed up reading about what type of CM is normal, what' s the difference between period and pregnancy cramping etc etc. I have become obsessive which I am not proud of. I want to have fun and enjoy the process...but after losing a baby all i want is to have another healthy one!

Sending you all lots of love and hugs xoxo

Jigglykween · 21/05/2020 14:14

@msanne everything crossed for you

Lynnysong · 21/05/2020 14:29

Hiya Ladies, found this article and thought it might help with testing worries, hugs for everyone x

www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/When-can-I-expect-a-positive-HPT-if-I-am-pregnant.html

msanne · 21/05/2020 14:43

@Lynnysong - what an interesting read! Thank you!

Fingers crossed I tested too early but trying not to get my hopes up....dastard period :P

Lynnysong · 21/05/2020 14:45

If people don't have time to read it, it says that most people get a bfp at 13.6 dpo. More or less the day af is due and before then false negatives tend to happen.

I've obsessed about cm and cramping, I even obsessed about having a period and still being pregnant. I'm glad I'm not alone. It doesn't help that I'm furloughed just now so I've got too much time to think.

Your support is amazing and I hope my six months of research can help x

Lynnysong · 21/05/2020 14:50

@msanne your welcome and fingers crossed for you. I've decided to test the day of af (especially if temp is high) and leave it at that. I wish I had a magic wand to wave for everyone xx

Chlo2701 · 21/05/2020 15:44

@msanne hopefully they'll turn up tomorrow then love 🤞🏻
@Lynnysong Thankyou for that article, was an interesting read. Love that you are pretty clued up on it all. I'm really intrigued to follow your journey, I take my hat off to you. Don't know why you were worried about saying your age, there's no judging in this little group. I really hope you find your donor! I'm rooting for you!! X

Chlo2701 · 21/05/2020 15:51

@Lynnysong I really want to share that article on another thread I'm on but don't know how to do it🤦‍♀️ think it would help a lot of women stay positive

Chlo2701 · 21/05/2020 15:53

@Lynnysong I've managed to do it Grin

Sunshine1984 · 21/05/2020 15:57

Hello.. happy to find a 35+ thread! May I join you?
I turned 36 on Monday. TTC #2 AF due in 3 days but looks like it’s just arrived :( Mildly holding out hope that it’s spotting but the cramps are progressively getting worse :(
Anyway .. hi 👋🏼

Happyhappy37 · 21/05/2020 16:06

@Jigglykween well glad we are in it together. 😊 My partner is the same , very strict and think am a push over. Honestly, sometimes he just needs to let them be children ‼️‼️ he does my head in, smh 🙈

Am experiencing lots of hot flashes today and slightly nausea just now, my breast is still feeling well weird. Had it yesterday as well. These are just some of the weird symptoms i have been experiencing
🙈🙈 Partner said to me Tuesday night that inside me felt like when I was pregnant. I just said ok ( this was said in the mids of DTD). We haven't talked about it since. 🙈

@Lynnysong thank you for that. Very good read.

🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾 crossed for all of us.
