Just thought I would start a new thread for everyone about to enter into their fertile window for this month so we can chat (then go crazy in TWW together! 🤣)

Love catching up with the bigger threads but everyone is at different stages so will be nice to have a small group of us here.

I am 29, OH is 31 and we are now on cycle 3 of TTC first baby. CD10 today and FW starts tomorrow. Ovulation predicted as Thursday-Saturday depending on which app I go off.

I will be attempting to track CM, using OPKs since yesterday and also BBT wherever I can to get a clearer picture!

Got my smiley on my OPK today and it’s CD18 for me, AF due 30th May so we’re similar! I’m 29, boyfriend 27 and TTC baby number 1, this is a first proper month of trying and we’re following SMEP, I came off the pill in December but we used condoms for a few months. X

CD 7, Fertile week next week with OV estimated around the 22nd but that's just by app. Starting my CB tests tomorrow, first time I've ever used them so I'm looking forward to seeing whether I actually ovulate when my apps think I do! X

@KateColx Hello again! 👋🏼 I'm looking forward to finding out which app is most accurate too. Just using cheap OPKs but going to continue tracking until the go back to negative. I think I've made the mistake in the past of stopping once I've got a positive and thinking that's it, didn't realise you have to carry on to see when it goes back down as in ovulation confirmed!

My husband and I are both 25 trying for baby #2 since our wedding in October so we’re 8 cycles in!! Starting to get a little frustrated but I’m trying not to let it get to me and just praying this is our month.
Our first baby was a total surprise when we were 21!! So I had no idea how all this ttc business worked until this time round.

I’m due to ovulate around the 22nd so heading into my fertile week 😊 Will be using opks and bbt.
How are you all feeling this month?

I ovulated 2 days later than my app predicted so that was interesting! Hope this is a lucky thread for us all.. can’t believe at school I was led to believe that sex unprotected ONCE would result in a baby.. oh to be that naive again 🤣 Now I’m on a forum writing jargon that I barely understand and peeing on a stick waiting for a smiley face every morning 🙈🤣

@Littlebee1990 I’ve found apps can be put by a few days quite often! My periods are regular too.
Haha I wish it was so easy as a one time thing!! However my daughter was conceived while I was on the pill so 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just can’t see why it isn’t that easy all the time!!

Hi everyone! I'm new here.
You all seem so positive and reassuring on this group.
I'm 25 and my partner is 27.
I came off my pill in December 2019 after being on the implant and pill for 10 years. Me and my partner said "if it happens, it happens". In April, it happened! And I found out i was pregnant on the 2nd May. Unfortunately I miscarried at 5 weeks. Since coming off the pill my periods have been regular and on time.
When would you expect to ovulate after a miscarriage and when would you expect your period to go back to normal?

I have a friend that got pregnant again right after her miscarriage before her next period came and she is now expecting twins!! I’d starts maybe testing with opks once a day just to see what happens?

I would like to join! Got my positive OPK yesterday at CD13 and wanted to follow the SMEP for first time this month but have unfortunately come down with a massive stomach bug. We’re trying home insemination on the same days but feel like it’s not to be this month. AF due 30th so nice to meet people at similar stage.

We’re both 27 and I’ve been on the depo for 10 years to Dec 18. Started on no contraception from July last year but only properly started trying (using opks and tracking cycle etc) start of this year and no whiff of a BFP yet. Paid to have some day 2 bloods done privately this month but they all came back great so trying to hold on to that hope for this TWW!

What other things are people trying along with SMEP?

We’re considering having some private tests done soon @LS2020 but I wasn’t sure what would be happening with all that’s going on at the minute! Glad everything came back okay 😊

I've had a lazy day today, trying to do some fertility meditation each day to stay relaxed, especially when it comes to the TWW as last time was torture!

Ah im dreading the TWW! I'm such an impatient person at the best of times. I've been doing yoga every other day so hoping that may help!

@Em994 thank you. Very sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Don’t have any personal stories but seen lots of other posts on here about people being able to try again the month after, if you’re ready to do so. Fingers crossed for you!

@JoesM12 I used a website called Thriva, they sent the kit in post. Test has to be done on 2nd day of period but if you get pregnant and don’t need, they refund you less £7 for the test they sent out. But was really pleased with, sent on Monday morning and had results by their GP weds morning even with everything going on with post at the minute. I’ve been a massive stresser since we’ve started and helped me relax knowing the right things are happening, we’ve just got to wait for our time

@Ltay2 ooh I hadn’t heard of fertility meditation - what do you use?
Honestly last TWW I think I googled every symptom under the sun!!

@LS2020 Interesting about the tests I will definitely take a look at that website for if needed in the future! The fertility yoga I just find on YouTube, there's loads to choose from so just find one that you find soothing. There's general meditations for fertility on there but some are geared towards each week of your cycle which I find helpful so you can focus on whatever is needed at that time. I have enjoyed 'Fertility from the Soul' most on youtube, I find her voice very relaxing so definitely one to check out!

@Em994 we have been trying for 8 Months now! I feel like I’m just living cycle to cycle at the minute and can’t quite believe it’s mid May already! Hoping that each month we’re just closer to getting our baby

@LS2020 ah thank you so much!! I will definitely look into that website. If it doesn’t happen this month I think we will do it, just for reassurance. How long have you been ttc?

@Ltay2 thanks! I’d seen that acupuncture was supposed to be effective but I’m terrified of needles so isn’t for me. I’ve been using headspace a lot since we went into lockdown and found it so helpful. Are you taking any vitamins or additional supplements at the moment to help?

@JoesM12 I was on the depo for so long and heard how it can affect your fertility for a while and I was semi convinced if there was something wrong, it was because of that and I didn’t want to have to go through 12 months of waiting for the GP to say oh it’s because of x, here’s a tablet and could have fixed sooner. That would have drove me mad so it was a bit expensive but like I said, it’s really chilled me out this month that I know everything’s happening when it should and can just focus on DTD! This is our 4th cycle of proper trying, tracking everything and making sure we hit the key dates but been off contraceptive since last July. Have you been full tracking since October or has it ramped up recently?

@LS2020 I am finding the meditation really helps me escape from the stress of lockdown and working from home ☺️ I am taking Folic Acid, Zita West VitalDHA, COQ10 and Vitamin D. Added the last 2 for this cycle so don't know yet if it will benefit! Are you taking anything?

Hey I'm CD 12... tracking OPK, temps and CM.. cycle 10 for us ttc... really hope this is our month... it's been pretty stressful getting AF for the last 10 months and feel like everyone keeps asking me of I'm pregnant yet... we got married last june. I'm 31... husband is 34 and our first child. Be lovely to chat to others who are ttc! X

@LS2020 I think it’s worth the money if it brings peace of mind! Did you just go for the female hormone package?

We got married in October and according to my apps my fertile week fell while we were on our honeymoon so I was hoping for a honeymoon baby but that didn’t happen. I started using natural cycles in November, an app you use with a bbt thermometer to confirm ovulation. I started using opks December/January time I think! So pretty much tracking the whole time!
It’s got to happen for us all soo hopefully!!x

Yes my app says I am ovulating next Wednesday the 20th but that isnt always correct! Yes so frustrating! I try to stay positive when I get AF and think at least its another month to try but it's getting harder the longer time goes on! Are you doing any tracking? My OPK from today was really faint xx
