Hi,
Just ovulated for the first time after my missed miscarriage at 13 weeks (baby had stopped growing at 6-7) and wondered if anyone wanted to keep me company while we go through the ups and downs of ttc all over again! ! Xx

Happy for you @Smilingdonkey it’s a relief to know what’s happening isn’t it! Hope everyone else gets theirs soon xx

33Carr · 29/05/2020 21:48

@Smilingdonkey Don't usually say this on these forums but I'm so happy you got your AF! I bet it's such a massive relief! Wishing you all the best moving forward xx

Workingmama1 · 29/05/2020 22:09

Sounds like good news you got your period @Smilingdonkey! Hopefully you body can reset now... i think you're one of the first to get yours!

I'm five weeks since bleeding started and no sign of AF. My daughter has been really fussy with her breastfeeds this week, and she was the same when i found out I was pregnant, it got me day dreaming but pretty sure it's more likely the heat. Thinking about trying to skip her morning feed tomorrow and see how we go, problem I've got is she is breastfed to sleep and I literally have no idea how to get her to sleep at night without a boob in her mouth!

Plans for the weekend involve staying home as we're still in self isolation but luckily we've got a decent garden so enjoying the sunshine!

Does anyone else follow Rochelle Humes on Instagram? She's a few weeks ahead of where i would have been and it really hit me when I saw her post a bump shot and made me feel quite down. I think I can be happy for people I care about but others are messing with my emotions!

Smilingdonkey · 30/05/2020 00:04

@workingmama1 my daughter is 20 months and still feeding too. I dropped her morning feed a couple of weeks ago as she is now feeding for her day nap because she is at home at the moment rather than at the childminder. I was starting to notice getting engorged when she missed a feed and didn't want to go back there so dropped am. I was also worried it would affect ttc if she starts it up again?!! She feeds before nap, at bedtime and whenever she wakes in the night. I am
Not stopping that right now! I love that within 5-10 mins of waking the boob has got her back down!
Anyways I digress! Here's hoping for your Bfp! Never any harm in keeping fingers crossed I don't think!
Xxxxx

I've got my natural cycles app up and running again. Ready to temp tomorrow. Would really recommended it - so easy and now I know 4 people (including myself!) who conceived in their first month of using it! Xx

Morning all!

@Workingmama1 Yes, I follow Rochelle. She put the post up saying they were expecting in October two weeks after we’d found out we’d lost the baby and it was really hard to see as that’s when we were due. I’ve been fine with people announcing pregnancies and stuff but when it’s October, it hurts - my friend’s wife is due then and when they told us (on a group chat) it took me a minute to digest. I think it’s really quite normal and to be expected, it’s that reminder of what could have been I guess.

@Smilingdonkey I’m so thrilled that you can start things like tracking again, fingers crossed it won’t be long for the rest of us now, too! 🤞🏼

Poppy10121 · 30/05/2020 09:27

I can sympathise @Workingmama1 and @skyblue20 I’ve been so afraid of seeing other pregnant friends and I don’t even know anyone expecting in October! I took Insta off my phone as it was too hard not to come across bump pictures. But I saw (at a safe distance!) a pregnant friend yesterday and felt fine about it, when I got home I felt a bit sad because I’d hoped our babies would grow up together a couple of months apart.

I started doing my OPK tests yesterday and got a LH surge today so am excited. Haven’t told my OH cos I don’t know if he will feel pressure to perform!

Sakura54 · 30/05/2020 10:06

@Smilingdonkey I was going to say that sounds like my pregnancy symptoms, but glad you can relax for now.

After spotting for 3 days, I started bleeding properly on Thursday. So far it seems like my usual period including the spotting at the start which I log in my app as CD1 so 27 days after my MVA. I know that it takes a few months for cycles to settle so sometimes the 2nd period can be late so we will see how it goes.

@SkyBlue20 I’m sure it’ll come within the next 2-3 weeks. Just a little longer. Hopefully it will be a straightforward one and not heavy or painful for you.

These weekends sure come about quickly and the weeks seem to be flying by. I’ve been following the rules of lockdown so all I do is go to parks. Would be better if people would move away and not take up the walkways!

Workingmama1 · 30/05/2020 11:44

So I stupidly took a test this morning, it came back as a very faint positive after a few minutes, then I went back to it after 20 at it looked like this.... it's a different brand than I got my negative on last week but not a super sensitive one. I think I ovulated early last week so it could be a super early positive or a different brand picking up residual hormones from the MMC.

My theory of DD being fussy on the boob was debunked a bit as she was up from 1:30 to 5am last night so think it might be teeth making her generally fussy. Although a boob didn't work to get her down which is normally would. @Smilingdonkey I hadn't realised how close our DDs are, mine is 18 months next week, I totally hear you on carry on as it's such a handy way to get them to sleep (or at least normally is for me!)

@Poppy10121 great news that you got your peak!

@workingmama1 I can’t see the pictures very well (on my phone) - is the one with the faint line the earlier or later pic? Fingers crossed for it being an early positive for you!

mrsAndeke · 30/05/2020 12:10

@Workingmama1 that looks like a positive to me, fingers crossed for you try another one in a few days and see if the like gets darker! X

Smilingdonkey · 30/05/2020 13:24

@workingmama1 mine is actuslly 19 1/2 months so even closer!
I'm quietly hopefuly for you! Does it look stronger than your last positive? Xx

Smilingdonkey · 30/05/2020 13:28

God ladies. This period is an intense one!

OP posts:
Workingmama1 · 30/05/2020 14:03

Both pics were after 20 mins. I can't compare to my last one as it was one with blue dye Hmm
Might try tomorrow and see what happens. I'm wondering now if my negative was a true negative as I didn't use FMU?

Threnody · 30/05/2020 14:35

@Smilingdonkey glad you got your period. I love my tracking apps - I have fertility friend for tracking, and femometer for assessing the test pictures.
My youngest is 19 months too! He stopped breastfeeding just after I got pregnant.

@workingmama it's difficult to see, fingers crossed for you.

@Poppy10121 I have been doing opks and got a peak today. We're supposed to be waiting until I've lost some more weight (I want to shift half a stone more ideally), but I saw that line and really want to try now.

SkyBlue20 · 30/05/2020 16:27

@Poppy10121 I have a friend who is pregnant, due August, and I’d really looked forward to telling her as we’d have been pregnant together. Alas, just the other day I told her about the miscarriage Instead (she’s had problems in her pregnancy herself and I didn’t want to worry her unnecessarily). It’s weird how you make all these plans in your head and then it’s so sad (understatement!) when they don’t work out.

@Sakura54 So glad your period arrived! We’ll all soon be able to start trying again, which is so exciting! So excited to go on this journey with you all, knowing what we’ve all been through 💕

Eeeeeeek, @Workingmama1! Can you get one of the tests you tested on when you got your negative so you can compare?

@Threnody Completely your decision as to whether you go for it or not but half a stone isn’t a lot at all and if it were me, I’d go for it and just think ‘what will be will be’ - you may not catch this month and then you still have more time to lose the weight. That’s just my opinion though, do whatever you feel is best for you. Xx

Having such a lovely day in the sunshine with my husband, one of those when I really appreciate how lucky we are, especially with everything else that’s going on in the world around us. Xx

Workingmama1 · 30/05/2020 16:49

Found a teaco one which is the type I got my negative with, came back BFN. I reckon it's more likely to be left over hormones. Means I can have a cheeky drink in the sunshine!
But if AF doesn't show soonish I'm sure ill be reaching for tests again, 5 weeks post MMC now, so still completely normal to have no AF yet

SkyBlue20 · 30/05/2020 16:58

Hmmm, I guess time will tell, @workingmama1, not that that’s a very helpful thing to say, sorry! Have you had any symptoms? It was actually the Boots tests I got my negative on, if that’s helps (can’t figure out if it will or not) - I got it three weeks post-MVA on my second wee of the day. Guess maybe it means they’re not super sensitive but also we don’t know what my levels were like then I guess! Xx

SkyBlue20 · 30/05/2020 16:59

Sorry, I think that was probably quite the opposite of helpful!

Workingmama1 · 30/05/2020 17:15

@skyblue20 the packet of the boots ome say 25 for sensitivity (cany remember the units!) unhelpfully the tesco ones don't even say what sensitivity they are but say results from the day of your period so I guess 25 too? It's an odd old game to be playing!

AlisonLew15 · 30/05/2020 19:58

@Workingmama1 @SkyBlue20 I know exactly how you feel. Our baby would have been due this week so I had been a bit down about that. My sister in law is expecting in October, that also took me a while to get my head around even though I'm obviously so happy and excited for them. Hopefully we will have some good news of our own soon! ☺️

Threnody · 30/05/2020 20:42

There are lots of bad reviews on Tesco tests as giving false positives apparently. I mostly rely on frers as most sensitive (6mIu), and had (real) positive with them at 9dpo, 10dpo and 11dpo.

I know how you feel, my eldest's teacher is pregnant, and that felt hard when she announced it, and my son was all excited.

SkyBlue20 · 30/05/2020 23:34

@AlisonLew15 I’m so sorry, must be a tough week for you. Look after yourself 💕

Threnody · 31/05/2020 07:58

@AlisonLew15 big hugs, this must be such a difficult time.
