Hi,
Just ovulated for the first time after my missed miscarriage at 13 weeks (baby had stopped growing at 6-7) and wondered if anyone wanted to keep me company while we go through the ups and downs of ttc all over again! ! Xx

@SkyBlue20 I tested this morning, CD33, it's as expected a BFN. I'll see if AF arrives by Friday, if not, I'll test again then. Imnot feeling either way today, I must say. I'm feeling surprisingly good for this time of the cycle. It's probably going to be a longer one.

Happy Tuesday, all! I'm not running today because DH's knees are hurting (we run together). Tomorrow is the day. But I'm planning a walk + exercise at home. Also putting together a healthy Mediterranean style meal plan for the next 7 days minus one pizza day on our anniversary, that's Mediterranean too, right? 😂

ALew15 · 07/07/2020 07:41

@PurplePansy05 I agree about Mediterranean diet, we eat this way 99% of the time. Meats and salads. We went to Greece, island hopping for a month last year for our honeymoon and we had insane Greek salads with feta (got to have a treat) every single day. I believe the more colourful your food, the better it is for you! 🌈

PurplePansy05 · 07/07/2020 07:49

@ALew15 I've been to Greece many times too (the islands!)!, we adore the food and incorporated quite a few recipes to our usual menu. Same with Italy. Morroccan and Spanish flavours are fab too. I think we just need to go lower on the carbs and sugar front, we've had that tad too much pasta or bread and way too many treats and snacks in lockdown!

I agree re colourful food, DH always nominates me to make all the salads and grazing platters with veg, hummus etc., I'm a strong believer in attractiveness of presentation of healthy food.

ALew15 · 07/07/2020 08:16

@PurplePansy05 sounds delicious! This food chat is making me hungry!

Had some surprising news yesterday... I got my BFP. We can't believe it! Cautiously optimistic. Tested again this morning to see line progression (bottom pic)

Oh gosh @ALew15 congratulations! I can't believe we're casually talking about Greek food and you've managed to keep quiet! That's a clear, clear line! How far along are you now? 🤞 for you xx

ALew15 · 07/07/2020 08:28

@PurplePansy05 😂 I'm trying to put it to the back of my mind because I can easily get obsessed with things.

I tested at roughly 10dpo and was blank, yesterday was 12 or 13dpo and I got the top two tests! AF could be due any day so I am a bit weary but the line is getting darker so that must be good, right? I think it makes me about 3 1/2 weeks (so early 😂)

Threnody · 07/07/2020 08:31

Wow, congratulations @ALew15! 🤞 for you! Those are some great lines.

PurplePansy05 · 07/07/2020 08:35

@ALew15 You're probably just shy of 4 wks now then? It's definitely getting darker and it was obvious straight away. Keeping everything crossed for you all goes well 🙏🌈

Poppy10121 · 07/07/2020 08:49

Congratulations @ALew15! amazing news :-)

Thanks for the diet tips @Threnody and @PurplePansy05, I’m off to the supermarket later today so will try and think of some low carb dinners to try! My husband has been doing most of the shopping since lockdown and he is the worst for picking up treats so I need to take control!

Sakura54 · 07/07/2020 09:09

Congrats @ALew15 see you on the other thread!

@Threnody What does you BMI have to be for you to avoid fragmin? I found they really made my stomach sting! I was like a little girl every time I had to be injected, even though it was only for 10 days after my EMCS. Lol sometimes I weigh myself more than once a day and it’s interesting how you can gain 1kg at the end of the day. My GP’s answer to everything is usually to take a blood test so I’m going to be pretty annoyed if that’s what he wants me to do, seeing as I already have 6 pregnancy blood tests booked!

Aw that’s nice, you can get some peace lol. Mine is going to go nursery for 3 days (5 hours) so I’ll probably find it strange too. Only one nursery contacted me to offer a place and gave a deadline last month, so I had to register even though they aren’t my first choice. Due to CV I decided to take whatever I was offered. However circumstances have changed now so I contacted my first choice yesterday and was told they are also accepting new starters, so who knows why they didn’t contact me and now I have to cancel the other one, oops!

Thanks @SkyBlue20 I’m ok most of the time, it’s just these aches/pains I have which are pretty bad, plus thinking about the hospital appt and scan. It doesn’t help that DS fell on my stomach the other day while climbing the top of the sofa, but Dr Google says it’s ok lol.

Exciting, fingers crossed you get a dark line! I would wait until the weekend too.

@PurplePansy05 Hmm that’s a good point. I’m not very good with keeping hydrated as I’m never thirsty and obviously it being Summer means I could be dehydrated. I also stopped drinking milk but that’s only because I’m still avoiding going to the shops too often. I will have to make an effort to drink water.

Diet-wise, I’m not a healthy eater but it’s quite varied, although very carb heavy. I mainly live on rice and meat. Speaking of Mediterranean, coincidentally I made a Mediterranean-style chicken tray bake the other day!

Urgh I wrote out a message this morning and it didn't post!

Congrliations @ALew15 fantastic news! It gives me hope to see these BFPs! @SkyBlue20 I'm secretly willing you to test but equally so impressed with how you are holding out, ive got my 🤞 for you.

@Poppy10121 my periods have been shorter, normally 6-7 days, first one was 4 and this last one was 5 but the last day was barely anything, plus it arrives on CD27 which is quite early for me.

I've got c2 5k week 2 run 3 tomorrow. Fully in the running belt crew, wasn't using my belt as my leggings had a pocket and accidentally pocket dialled 999 so got my belt back out for my next run! Embarrassingly I hadn't even realised I'd rung until they hung up and rang me back to see if I was OK, I was mortified. A normal bum bag would do the trick though unless you need it to hold a water bottle. @skyblue20 I'm also taking it slow due to dodgy knees and trying to remember to do my physio exercises.

When does everyone start OPKs? Im CD 6 today so thinking of trying soon even though I'm not expecting a peak for a week, as seen some people peak as soon as CD8!

I was stalking on another thread and a lady who had two "periods" after her MC surgery went to the dr with pains, was diagnosed with a UTI but also 9 weeks pregnant with twins!

Threnody · 07/07/2020 11:02

@Poppy10121 it definitely helps to not have temptation around. I tend to buy treats for my husband/children that I don't like.

@Sakura54 Its not just BMI, it's all about the number of risk factors, so I had BMI over 30, and I'm over 35, and have had 3 children, which is 3 points and meant fragmin injections from 28 weeks. I've had them before, as I had c-sections, though that's in the leg then, and I don't enjoy them. Also last time I had trouble with my scar healing, and part of that was the injections preventing clotting.

Glad you got your first choice nursery in the end. It makes such a difference to be happy with who is looking after them. Mine only go 3 days a week too, though full days. I usually work 3 days a week, though these days I've been spreading it out across the week instead.

My children have fallen on my tummy when I've been pregnant, as well as kicked me, trodden all over me. The baby is pretty well protected in there, all that squishy amniotic fluid, and at this stage right down in your pelvis so will be fine.

Oops @Workingmama1! I'd have been so embarrassed too! I just completed Run 1 of Week 4 and feeling pretty amazed that I managed it!
I'm still waiting for af, I'm 9dpo today, so not my shortest luteal phase. Fertility friend is predicting af on Thursday, Ovia says Friday, and femometer Monday.
That's an amazing story!

SkyBlue20 · 07/07/2020 11:13

Morning all!

@PurplePansy05 Sorry it was a BFN, not out until the witch arrives though!

@ALew15 Congratulations!! What amazing news!! Great lines, too!

Loving the food chat - my parents are Spanish so I eat a lot of Spanish foods but also love Greek, Moroccan, Italian...just food in general really 😂 Absolutely love travelling to different places and trying their foods and experiencing the culture. I can't wait to be able to do city breaks again!

@Workingmama1 Nothing to be impressed by - I've been too scared to test more than anything 😂 Today I'm feeling REALLY nauseous but also felt a bit like AF was arriving so am at that point where it's just annoying me and I need to know. I may or may not be in the middle of attempting a four hour hold just in case I have the urge to test as soon as the test gets here... 😬 Not sure I'll make it, it's been 40mins and I'm bursting 🙈 It's weird, I want to test just to know but I also don't want to test as I feel it's too early (it's 14 days since the last time we DTD that would have been around the right time so not THAT early) and I just want an answer either way, not a BFN but could just be too early, if that makes sense?

Wow, that other thread sounds crazy - I started reading one this morning where someone asked if she could have two implantation bleeds and if it might mean twins, but I didn't get very far as had to start work, is it that one?

Starfish762 · 07/07/2020 11:29

@PurplePansy05 sorry about the BPN, but fx as there’s still time!

@ALew15 Congratulations! So happy to hear some good news. Everything crossed for you ❤️

All this food chat is making me very hungry! And also making me want a holiday lol.

PurplePansy05 · 07/07/2020 11:37

Oh I'm good, honestly, thanks ladies 😊 I've been here so many times that I'm in this strange zone of whatever happens, happens. I've accepted that either way there's some stress involved, either about it not happening yet or about the new pregnancy. In some ways, because my MVA was only a month ago, I'm actually relieved about the BFN 😌

I'm starving now too, bad times! And the holiday next year is to Greece, booked with free cancellation. YOLO!

SkyBlue20 · 07/07/2020 12:03

Just realised that the thread is almost full (I think it's 1,000 posts? We're seven away after this one). I'll make a new one :-) xx

mrsAndeke · 11/07/2020 13:05

@SkyBlue20 congratulations!!!
Sorry I've been absent ladies needed to readjust and get drunk with some friends! I'm back with the family in Manchester weekend, and just going to take it easy! I have started tested OPKS again, and it seems I'm an early ovulater and already got a flashing smiley on CD10 again. Wishing you lovely ladies all the best and lots of baby dust x
