Testing around 11th June

Hi all,

Following on from the previous thread of ‘testing around 13th May’. So many people messaged to say they found the group useful so I thought I’d recreate one.

Everyone is welcome and look forward to hearing everyone’s stories.

That's a nice idea @fafi like you say maybe a good idea to set it up for anyone that got a BFP once everyone is a few weeks along. I'm not telling many people that we are TTC, but I know none of my friends would be at the same time and only have one friend that already has kids, so wouldn't have many people to share pregnancy stuff with if/when we do get our BFP x

Has anyone got any recommendations for test brands? Have read a few reviews and not sure what brand to buy as I’ve heard a lot of mix reviews for first response and clear blue! Heard good reviews for boots own brand but wanted to see if anyone on here had preference Xx

@memily me too, I'm so worried about getting my hopes up just for them to be crushed with a bfn! Especially when I google and most of these symptoms can just be signs of progesterone - ow! Exactly the same though no cramps at all, the nausea has lasted all day today! How many dpo are you / when will you test? - sorry if you've already said this! X

Hi guys, quick update before my wee monkey wakes up:
I had bad cramping last night and though that was it for me. This morning it just feels like a dull ache on the lower tummy area, so no idea if AF is coming or what. I'm still getting faint positives but given that I've officially missed a period I don't know what to think. Would you recommend trying another type of test? I only have the cheapies now.
How are you all doing?

@ForeverHopeful67 I’m 14dpo today but I don’t think I’ll test until Sunday, I’m going to try and wait until a few days after AF was due if it doesn’t appear before. What about you?x

Sorry @MrsLully I was bounced on by my DD and didn't finish. The line is faint but it's very definitely there. A digital will pick up a positive by now.

Thanks @kirinm I think I might go get one. I'm just scared that AF is going to show. With the cramps and all.

BFN for me this morning probably clutching at straws here but I'm only 11 dpo today and tested on a internet cheapie app hoping it's just too early 🤞 x

@ForeverHopeful67 I only got a veeeery faint line in a frer when I was 12 DPO, the cheapies didn't show anything at all until a couple of days later. Even now that I'm missing a period my lines are so faint. I don't know what that means for me, but I think you are just testing early, don't get discouraged.

Thanks @MrsLully that means a lot gives me a small bit of hope! I just hate seeing a BFN it's so crushing I've ordered a FRER to arrive tomorrow..

Sorry to those of you that have got BFN this morn. I'm going to hold off until Sunday as will be 15DPO by then, if AF hasn't arrived.

@MrsLully I've been reading up a lot on cramps as I've had a dull heavy feeling and twinges for a few days now but no AF so far, seems they can be a pregnancy symptom or AF, so I wouldn't worrry too much for now ☺️ line on test doesn't look darker than yesterday, but I've also read it can take a couple of days for HCG to increase xx

@ForeverHopeful67 same here - 11 DPO and got a BFN this morning :( Let's just hope we're late bloomers lol.

@MrsLully that test is so definitely positive even if it seems faint. I wouldn’t waste your money on a more expensive test - a frer will show you a darker line cos it’s more sensitive, clear blue digital will show you you’re pregnant. There’s definitely at least 25miu hcg in your wee cos the internet cheapie is picking it up! Frer picks up 6.3miu.

You have a positive pregnancy test and no period. You are pregnant! Doesn’t matter how faint it is, some people never get a dark line.

Sorry to hear about people’s early losses. I miscarried at 6 and then 5 weeks consecutively. It’s awful. Now 4+3 and have everything crossed.

I like the idea of private chat group but I don’t use facebook! 🙈

@ForeverHopeful67 ha probably tomorrow again as I'm just using ICs. I think I have FRERs getting delivered today so I am a bit tempted to test then too... only cause I'm crazy though, cause I def think I'm out too. Cycle 6 will most likely start this weekend!

@Muriel84 you are right of course. I suppose I had thoroughly convinced myself that it was going to take ages. We just started trying and it seems too good to be true. I didn't realised either how badly I wanted it until I started cramping last night and got massively scared, that's why I'm being so cautious with my reaction.

@Juno231 I don't blame you I've got a FRER coming tomorrow and I bet I won't wait til Sat morn to test 🤣 - why do we do this to ourselves?!haha
Defo feeling sorry for myself today, just want to stay cuddled up in bed and block out the world!
