Testing around 11th June

Hi all,

Following on from the previous thread of ‘testing around 13th May’. So many people messaged to say they found the group useful so I thought I’d recreate one.

Everyone is welcome and look forward to hearing everyone’s stories.

@33Carr I read one this morn - that's actually currently on the first page of the threads board, where someone didn't get their BFP for two months, but kept testing because of a late period, and finally it was confirmed. That's got to be very unusual though. What are we like! I keep reminding myself 'the internet can't tell you if you're pregnant' but then it's impossible not to head to Google or Mumsnet when questions and theories pop into your head.

You never know - tbh that's where I'm at in that a tiny bit of me hopes I get a BFP and that I tested too early yesterday at 10DPO, but also that I've already accepted I probably won't, so feel a bit meh, but will feel hopefully not as bad if/when AF does arrive. I ended up super bloated and crampy last night, but fine again this morn. Problem is this will only be my second AF after the pill for 13 years, so I've kind of forgotten what it feels like! Going to try to hold off testing until Saturday (when AF is due) or Sunday x

@MintGreenLife thank you. Af will arrive on Friday so no point testing again. I'm ok thanks, disappointed as always but nothing I can do about it! How are you doing?x

@notyetamumbuttrying glad you're not feeling too bad, will keep my fingers crossed for the next cycle for you. At least we should all be testing around the same time again and have each other for support :)

I'm OK thanks. BFN at 10DPO yesterday, but still holding on to a tiny bit of hope. I'm on CD31 now and AF not due until Saturday, so bit of a longer cycle than my last. Iv'e been finding it impossible not to symptom spot though and am reading into every tiny little thing! x

Posting an update! Congrats to everyone who got their BFP's!!!!
I am still getting very faint lines on my IC's and poundland tests! Still trying to convince my husband to let me buy another FRER (was very 4 days ago). His opinion is, you will come to know anyway so just wait! But I don't have that kind of patience :')
I am thinking I have probably ovulated late this month. My AF was due on 6/7th June......

A few of my symptoms - Literally if I'm not pregnant wtf is going on with me haha!

I have a dull cramp in my lower abdo constantly for 5 days - usually i don't cramp with AF until its started.
Weird one but my knees are killing me! they feel stiff and crampy.
Breasts are tingly
I generally feel ILL! feel like I want to vomit, I am anxious and HOT! I don't have a temp but I just feel like its about 30degrees! I've got heartburn and lower backache!
Don't have a clue whats going on haha!

So hard not to symptom spot right @MintGreenLife everything crossed for you!
How many dpo are you @fashu?

@notyetamumbuttrying I went for a pee about 20 mins ago, and spotted what looks like EWCM! So confused. I did the usual to check if it was stretchy and it wasn't really, more like lots of watery clear CM...no idea what's going on, am wondering if I should take a OPK :/

@fashu I was going to ask the exact same thing :)

Literally have no idea how many DPO i might be, if I went on my normal cycle before my MMC then I would be 17dpo. But based on my EWCM I could only be 12DPO. The last test I took was 2 mornings ago. Was a very faint line, but potentially could have been an evap.

@MintGreenLife I think just wait it out a couple more days then retest.
@fashu hmm defo get there frer in as they are more reliable. If it will stop you from second guessing then you should get them. Tell Dh that.

Really? Thanks guys! I feel a bit deflated to be honest. I'm in a very PM's mood and having some discomfort in my lower tummy, so it could go either way I suppose 😑

@mrslully bear in mind it takes 48-72 hours for HCG levels to double so keep at it and I'm sure the line will darken every few days :)

@notyetamumbuttrying I think I'm halfway through selling sunset s2 now and it's so entertaining!

Girls I'm 10 DPO today and used an IC this morning that gave me a bit of a heart attack. First it showed a faint line but in the time it took me to grab my phone to take a pic it had disappeared! Evil things. I even took a second test and it was stark white so def a BFN for me.

Hoping I'm not out just yet though! AF isn't due until Sun/Mon depending on the app...

I've just had my peak on my OPK and we've been trying the Sperm meets egg plan this month so hoping OH has it in him to BD for the next 3 days in a row 😂

@mrslully - this is a picture of my test with my DD. I was 2 days late for my period by then. The lines were so faint.

I came on today when I was due for Friday. It means my luteal phase has shortened by two days 🤔 I took Angus cactus last month which made me ovulate two days later so I assumed I would come on two days later but nah!

@Juno231 I tested yesterday at 10DPO too and got a BFN. AF due Saturday for me, fingers crossed at least one of us gets a line in the coming days :) think I''m going to try and hold out until AF is due or maybe one day after if she hasn't shown x

Girls I am feeling so confused (like I have done throughout the entirety of this cycle 😔)

I'm on CD31 and 11DPO. Noticed some EWCM but more watery this morn so thought I best do an OPK and got a dark line!! It's not quite a positive I don't think, but just as high LH levels as the one my app put down to be my surge 11days ago. Prior to that first surge I had EWCM about 6 days before and only for one day. I've attached the photo of today's test and my chart, which is completely all over the place. I feel so confused. Got a BFN yesterday, feel like I probably didn't even ovulate at all given the all over the place LH levels. Anyone got any thoughts?

Symptom wise ATM I've had an achey lower back and heavy feeling low down in my tummy for 3ish days. Last Wednesday and Tuesday I had sharp twinges 2-3 times. Help 😩 Nothing makes any sense xx

@kirinm thank you for that 🙂 I really have no experience with all of this as my first DD wasn't planned and when I tested I was two weeks late and the test line was darker than the control one, so no possible doubts there! 😂

Re what I posted above, I've looked into it and apparently you can get darker OPKs and watery CM in the days before AF is due, but also when pregnant. For me I'm fairly certain it's because AF is due. Feel a bit less confused now though ☺️

@MintGreenLife I've been working with a trainee this morning so pretty much left them to run the show, which left me to trawl the internet looking for some reassurance that I'm still in woth a chance and came across this website whenmybaby.com/implantation-doubling-calculator.php

It calculates HCG levels depending on implantation date; it's given me some (probably false) hope that maybe I just haven't got up to the 6 mIU/ml that the FRER pick up.

I think you're deffs still in with a chance, 10DPO is still pretty early as sometimes implantation isn't till 12 DPO so 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 for a BFP soon!

Also just seen your OPK! Like you've said, it can rise again towards AF and in early pregnancy so could be either!
