Hi all,

Following on from the previous thread of ‘testing around 13th May’. So many people messaged to say they found the group useful so I thought I’d recreate one.

Everyone is welcome and look forward to hearing everyone’s stories.

@MintGreenLife - does the app you're using create a coverline for you? I'm struggling to read your chart because there doesn't appear to be one.

SITL1992 · 10/06/2020 13:23

Hi all,

New to this thread.

Congratulations to all who have got the BFPs!

I am due on 16th June but holding out in hope ... this is our first month TTC.
I am driving myself insane with symptom spotting. The past few days I have been super queasy and also hungry all the time - the only other time I felt that was last year when I sadly had a MC.

I have also had some cramping the last two days (nothing painful but enough to feel it!) and lower back pain - and I'm exhausted! I now have conjunctivitis and it could just be my body being run down but can't help reading into the symptoms!

MintGreenLife · 10/06/2020 13:27

@33Carr I should have been working all morning and have managed short 10-15 min bursts of work followed by 10 mins of research pretty much all morning 😂 Did you try the calculater on the link? I did but it made no sense to me 🙈 I'm sure there's both still a chance for us ☺️

Think mostly likely positive OPK is AF coming for me. Checked my cervix this morn and feels low and open, so probably not a good sign! Xx

MintGreenLife · 10/06/2020 13:28

@kirinm that's for looking ☺️ I think it probably does, but this is my first cycle charting and I only started temping half way through, so my temps probably aren't very helpful x

MintGreenLife · 10/06/2020 13:29

Welcome @SITL1992 this is my first cycle TTC also and I'm going crazy symptom spotting. AF is due on Saturday for me and I'm fairly certain she's on the way...

SITL1992 · 10/06/2020 13:32

@mintgreenlife thank you! I'm sure I'll have AF next week, so hard not to get hopes up though! When will you be testing?

33Carr · 10/06/2020 13:38

@MintGreenLife Yeah I did the calculator, I don't know what my own initial level of HCG though so just put it to me minimum cause that gives me the best hope of getting a BFP within the next few days 😂 Totally aware I'm setting myself up for failure here lol

Sorry if this is TMI but how open does an open cervix feel?! I have felt like a ridge in mine where I presume it opens, but never felt it open (to my knowledge)

MintGreenLife · 10/06/2020 14:18

@SITL1992 I'm totally where you're at now, nervously waiting for AF but still with high hopes 😂 I was trying to hold out until tomorrow, but I caved yesterday at 10DPO and got a BFN. Waiting to see if AF shows between now and Saturday now. Might test again Saturday or Sunday if nothing x

MintGreenLife · 10/06/2020 14:20

@33Carr I'm totally doing the same thing even though I feel like I have all the signs AF will come 😂

This is my first month checking my cervix, so I'm probably equally clueless. Like you I can basically feel a ridge/line in the middle, which I can feel much more today than other days, so took that to be that it's open ready for AF x

Freddie15VES · 10/06/2020 15:33

Hello ladies, back again after my chemical. Feel better in my mind and body now!
Trying again this cycle. Finished my period/bleeding a couple of days ago so just taking things a bit more relaxed this month, no over testing just DTD and seeing what happens. 3 days after realising I’d had a chemical I got told I may be made redundant so it was an awful week all round!! OH was gutted about it not becoming anything but he said if anything it’s made him realise how ready he really is. So yeah, hello again! Xxxxx

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/06/2020 15:42

Hi @Freddie15VES welcome back and nice to hear you're ready again and doing ok! Sounds like an awful time but nice to hear you sounding so positive now! Will you be using opk's and taking pre vitamins etc?

Freddie15VES · 10/06/2020 15:52

@notyetamumbuttrying no I’ve promised myself this month will just be a normal month, no checking up on anything just going with the flow. If it happens then great if not we’ll be more focussed next month. It’s only our 2nd month TTC. I’ve heard people say you’re more fertile after a chemical but we’ll see! Xxx

MintGreenLife · 10/06/2020 16:00

Welcome back :) really lovely to have you back here. So sorry to hear about the redundancy, but it sounds like you've been really positive about that and the chemical, so glad you're feeling good about this next cycle and starting again. Being a bit more relaxed about it this second time round sounds like a great idea. I have been pondering the same thing, but still waiting on AF to show at the mo xx

MintGreenLife · 10/06/2020 16:00

@Freddie15VES message above xx

Freddie15VES · 10/06/2020 16:05

Awh thank you! I missed having you ladies to talk to. Yes I’m trying to be, we were going to put things on hold whilst I wait to find out about being made redundant but we just thought well it could take a long time so we may as well. And if it happens this time then we deal with things as anyone does! Oh no the dreaded AF. When are you due? Have you tested? There’s a lot I’ve missed on here but I don’t think I could catch up haha there’s about 20 more pages of comments since I left! Xxx

Freddie15VES · 10/06/2020 16:05

@MintGreenLife doesn’t like me tagging you for some reason! Xx

Juno231 · 10/06/2020 16:07

@MintGreenLife was about to say - it can just be AF hormones or pregnancy :) You can have creamy CM around this time as well so wouldn't assume it's EWCM unless it actually passes the stretch test.

MintGreenLife · 10/06/2020 16:11

Same here - can never seem to tag you when you're the last poster, no idea why. TBH only you know what's right for you, but I would say don't put things on hold :) we've toyed with the idea of stopping and starting TTC depending on what happens with our postponed wedding, and this whole situation has made me realise you can't plan for much, especially when it's out of your control (current pandemic, TTC etc) so better to go with the flow and see how everything fits in. Both me and OH are self-employed and have been hit finically because of the pandemic, but there's always a reason not to start a family, so we decided for us it was right to just crack on.

I'm due on Saturday. I've been getting twinges and a heavy crampy feeling since Monday, and an achey lower back plus tired, but also some nausea too. Then I had a lot of watery CM this morning which really threw me. Did an OPK and came back almost positive so was very confused then! After some research can either mean pregnant or can surge just before AF is due. If I'm honest I think it's AF. I caved and tested yesterday at 9/10DPO and got a BFN. Going to test again if AF isn't here by Saturday xx

MintGreenLife · 10/06/2020 16:12

@Freddie15VES x

memily · 10/06/2020 16:12

I am so confused!
AF was due yesterday by my dates, but Friday by my positive OPK. Yesterday I felt so queasy and my heart felt like it was pounding. When I went to the toilet there were very slight signs that AF was arriving, tiny tiny pink stringy bits when I wiped (tmi I know! Apologies) but only in the morning, nothing in the evening, but BFN last night. I’ve not had any cramps or anything like that.
I’ve felt queasy most of today again, and the same with the mucous. It’s so strange. Has anyone experienced anything like this? It’s completely messing with my mind! I go from ‘I’m out this month’ to ‘oh maybe I’m in’. It’s consuming me! X

MintGreenLife · 10/06/2020 16:20

@Juno231 I seem to get creamy CM almost everyday, whereas this was completely clear and looked like EWCM, but wasn't super stretchy. Think i just need to chill out on reading into every tiny little thing if I'm honest ha x

MintGreenLife · 10/06/2020 16:22

@memily I'm feeling much the same in that I'm constantly chopping and changing between deciding I'm out and then coming up with reasons why I might still have a chance of getting a BFP, it's not fun is it.

I guess it could be AF, but also could potentially be implantation bleeding if AF isn't due for a few more days? Implantation can occur anywhere between 6-12 days xx

LottieX · 10/06/2020 16:35

@MintGreenLife I had the same thing yesterday, 12dpo and (tmi) only one pinkish stringy bit. Not had a hint of AF yet but have had really a lot of watery/creamy CM over the past week which has been unusual.

I don't know whether to use up my last FRER tomorrow morning (day before AF due) or just to hang on. Every time I've tested before AF has shown up a few hours laterHmm

Freddie15VES · 10/06/2020 16:36

Exactly. I said that to my boyfriend there’s always a ‘better time’ isn’t there. But we feel ready now and we’re both young, well I think we’re both still fairly young haha! In my head anyway. So just go with the flow! Yes everything I felt before the BFP was very similar to AF so if anything this time it’s taught me not to symptom spot! I think you just have a heightened awareness of how your body is feeling. The main thing I noticed that was different was that I became extremely bloated, like I already looked 5 months gone! But other than that everything I felt was the same as AF xxx

Freddie15VES · 10/06/2020 16:36

@MintGreenLife still can’t tag properly! Xx
