Testing around 11th June

Hi all,

Following on from the previous thread of ‘testing around 13th May’. So many people messaged to say they found the group useful so I thought I’d recreate one.

Everyone is welcome and look forward to hearing everyone’s stories.

@mm26 I'm 10DPO, but I'm honestly not entirely sure if I ovulated - this is my second cycle off the pill. I seemed to get two LH surges and my BBT chart hasn't been helpful as I only started mid cycle. I'm going off the first LH surge for now as that was CD20 anyway so pretty late. What cycle TTC is this for you?

Haha it's so hard to resist the temptation! Part of me is to try testing again on Friday as if BFN then I could have a glass of wine...but I know if AF hasn't arrived by then a small part of me will tell myself there's still hope and then I won't want to drink, so testing Friday for that reason is pretty pointless 🙈 x

@MintGreenLife I know what you mean. I'm similar, though I had pretty painful cramping for like 30 mins one day, and a few episodes of cramping afterwards (though not as sore). I'm hoping one of these was ovulation. I got highish LH tests a few days but no big surge, but think it's down to me not taking the photos well. I'm the same as you, 2nd cycle after stopping the pill (cerezette).
I totally see how it can get expensive. I have the wee cheap tests, but have bought cb and first response ones too. Trying to hold off on those cause they're so expensive! Since this is my first time TTC I'm totally obsessed with testing and being super aware of even minor changes. I think I'm starting to worry my OH as there's just constant amazon packages arriving with vitamins, tests and whatever else I can find!

@mm26 I've had cramping too but it's been a bit all over the place - once last Tuesday evening and then a couple of times on Wednesday, both times right in the middle of my lower tummy, and then again yesterday several times, again lower middle but to the left and same again today. Every time it's been like pinching/stabbing pains, but BFN this morn 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm symptom spotting like crazy 😂

Ah it's nice to know someone is at the same stage re coming off the pill and TTC cycle 1. Haha so funny - all my TTC stuff is coming from Amazon too 😂 I have 1 FRER left and two CB digitalis, so will try to hold on to those until the weekend. Have you had a natural AF since coming off the pill? X

I just want to say massive congratulations to you ladies who have gotten your BFPs the last few days. Elated for you all

@MintGreenLife I have 1 FRER, 1 cb and 1 can digital left. Sounds like Friday, Saturday, Sunday to me 😂 (if I can wait, which I probably can't).

Yes, so when I came off the pill I had a 3 day thing-quite light- then about a week later had what I thought was just spotting as it was so light! Then literally a month later I had the mother of all AFs. I'm actually so glad I'm working from home currently, as if I hadn't have been I'd have been in trouble! It's weird because I came off a different pill years ago (not ttc, other reasons) and it took me about 3 months to see AF! I'm glad I've returned to my cycle so quickly this time. What about you?

Haha @mm26 you've got a good little stock then ☺️ I feel like I want to save my CB for if I get a line on a FRER, so best hang on until the weekend.

I had my withdrawal bleed a few days after stopping the pill, then AF exactly 30 days later, which was really light and lasted four days. I do wonder if that's what my body is doing now - gearing up for the mother of all AFs, would exaplin the cramping, which has gone up a notch this evening! First one after stopping the pill crept up on me as I didn't get any cramps or anything. All I had for four days was really sensitive nipples and I could work out why, and then when it arrived I was like 'ahhh' lightbulb moment. No sensitive nipples so far this cycle though 😂

BFN this morning 😖😔 AF isn't here though but I think that's giving me false hopes! Damn!

@MintGreenLife fingers crossed that it's not AF for you! I wouldn't say I had any major signs leading up to AF last time which was strange. I've got endometriosis so usually I'm in agony from about a week before. Last AF just hit me. I was surprised as it showed up exactly when my femometer app said it would and I never really had very regular cycles before going on the pill.

How are you feeling today? I've calmed down a bit on the symptom spotting during the day, but as soon as I go to bed I'm googling everything. I've not really felt any symptoms the past few days. I feel pretty "normal", just a dull aching sometimes, kind of cramps but not my usual endometriosis cramps! 😅

@33Carr fingers crossed for you! AF isn't here yet so hopefully it's a good sign! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@33Carr don't beat yourself up! How are you feeling? Do you think AF is on it's way?

@MrsLully I'm so confused to tell you the truth! Been having faint breast symptoms like previous pregnancy, and yesterday morning and this morning feel ever so slightly nauseous but could well just be my mind playing tricks on me. Felt my cervix this morning and it's still a bit high (I think) and closed so who knows!!! Seeing some friends later after work so hopefully that will distract me even though one is preggo so I'm assuming there will be some baby talk!

@33Carr bfn for me at 13dpo so think that's me out! Due on Friday. When you due on?

@notyetamumbuttrying Ahh I'm sorry, sucks doesn't it!! I was due on yesterday, so who's knows. The fact that AF hasn't arrived is giving me hope that maybe I just had late implantation and maybe it's still too early but think 89% of BFP are by 13DPO so I think I'm clutching at straws!!

Opinions ladies! I tested today and thought, nah bfn. But I took a picture of the test after I thought I saw a reaaaally faint blue tinged line. Like really faint. I took this picture with a filter that only picks up blue colours. Could this be a really early bfp?!
The line looks grey here, like evap. But I swear in real life there's a blue hint to it and I used a filter that only colours things that are blue.
Deluding myself? What do we think?

@mm26 I see the line!! How many DPO are you? I can't tell if there's colour in it or not though. Hope you get a darker liner in a couple of days to confirm!!

@33Carr so I think I'm around 9/10DPO, so still pretty early. I'm not 100% sure myself, so not getting excited just yet. Could be evap as the colour I can see in real life is so, so faint! I'll maybe test again tomorrow (not going to delude myself that I'll wait any longer 😂) with a FRER.

@mm26 Haha well there ain't no point being unrealistic, and even if that is a true line it will be darker after 24 hours anyway.

I'm gonna test again on Friday if AF hasn't arrived before then 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@mm26 can see the faint line! Test again in 48 hours and you'll see the profession. How exciting for you both!

@mm26 no AF so far...last month my cycle was 30 days, and now I'm on CD31, but my app pushed AF day back as I didn't get a darker OPK until CD20. Funny you say that as my first natural AF after stopping the pill arrived the exact day my app said it would too. Must have been coincidence as I just guessed my cycle at 30 days when I set it up.

I feel fine today - I felt quite mopey yesterday after my BFN, but managed to resist testing today :) I've just got a slight achey lower back and a bit of a 'heavy' feeling low in my tummy, but it's all very mild.

For some reason I can't open the picture of your test to make it bigger, but in the small version I think I can see a faint line. 9/10DPO is super early, so fingers crossed it will get darker :D xx

@33Carr sorry to hear about your BFN, well done for holding out on testing so long! I fell into a mumsnet rabbit hole yesterday and read loads of old threads where women didn't get there BFP until several days after AF was due, but I think I'm just giving myself false hope after my BFN at 10DPO, but you never know...

@MintGreenLife YEP same here, reading posts back from 2012 hahaha FML! I feel very meh, clutching at straws that I'll get a faint line on Friday when I'm 15DPO but I'm a bit bloated so AF might arrive today regardless. Just another waiting game which I'm crap at ahaha! How are you doing?
