I never seem to quite fit into any of the existing posts so thought I’d create my own.

Feel free to join me.

I ‘think’ I’m due af around 17th May, but knowing me will start testing from around 11th onwards as I’m a total poas addict.

I say I think that’s when my af is due because in the past my cycles have been around 37 dats long. Ovulating around cd22.

But thus cycle I took soy isoflavones after researching about them, hearing they can bring ovulation forward, and amazingly I got my positive ovulation test on cd14! So if my luteal phase remains the same which I think it’s meant to, then I’d be due af 14 days after that (my luteal phase is 14 days long).

I’ve been known to test from 7dpo though so not holding out much hope of me staying strong 😂 that’s the trouble with having a ton of ic tests burning a hole in my drawer!

Good luck to everyone else.

Glad you're feeling better @BabyDust13!
How are you doing today @Moominmiss? Not long to test for you right? I'm testing Thursday one day before af.
How's everyone else doing today? Any other testers this week?

Moominmiss · 08/06/2020 11:38

@notyetamumbuttrying I’m only 7dpo so of course I tested today.....and yesterday, and the day before that 🤦🏼‍♀️ And of course all glaringly white bfn’s!

The earliest I’ve got a bfp is 9dpo. But I’m not hopeful this month. I feel nothing. No different. My rhr hasn’t increased anywhere near as much as I think it should have done.

So I’ve just this morning ordered another batch of 50 one step pregnancy tests, and 50 one step ovulation tests, and 2 pots of nature’s best ubiquinol!

So I’m all prepared for next cycle! If by some miracle I got my bfp then I’d be happy to have wasted the £60 I spent on the ubiquinol lol.

Also my best friend just told me that her and her partner are now ttc. She’s stopped the pill and it’s official. I’m happy for her, and would have loved for us to go through pregnancies together, but it’s just hit home that it’s very unlikely, she’s 10 years younger than me at 27, and fell pregnant earlier this year while on the pill (she miscarried), so I have a feeling she’ll be pregnant within a month or 2.

How is everyone else? What cd is everyone on?

@BabyDust13 how you doing?

Still very early @Moominmiss so you're not out quite yet. You need to implant and let hcg develop still. Thanks for sharing which ubiquinol you got, I might move onto it once my coq10 is done. You never know re your friend and if she does, you'll get there soon too! Because I've never been pg before I have the worry that we might not be able to conceive. That's the most concerning for me in this ttc journey.

Moominmiss · 08/06/2020 11:57

@notyetamumbuttrying thank you. Yes I’m trying to tell myself that I possibly wouldn’t have even implanted by now so lack of symptoms etc would fit. But I know it’s just me trying to console myself really 😂

Realistically I’d expect to start seeing at least some sort of line by the weekend if this is my month. So we’ll see, of course I’ll test every day now lol.

The nature’s best one is on offer on their site, I’ll post a link to it. I bought 2 bottles as it was better value. And if I’m going to be taking 200mg (2 capsules) a day then they won’t last long!

I’d love for me and friend to get pregnant around similar times but seeing how long it’s taken me so far I’m not too hopeful. But all I can do is try.

How long is it you’ve been trying for now? I really wouldn’t worry about possible infertility yet. Majority of the time it’s just nothing to worry about and it’ll happen when it happens, but I do know how it’s easy for someone else to say that, and much harder to be positive when it’s you going through it.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Also you have amazing willpower to have help off testing so far!!! I can never get anywhere close to af without testing lol.

Have you noticed any symptoms?

OP posts:
notyetamumbuttrying · 08/06/2020 12:25

@Moominmiss you know what works for you so anything that helps, do it! That's what I say. Early testing isn't for me even tho the draw is there. I keep reading about CP's so I'd rather not know if that's the case, plus I get really bad pms which I always convince myself means I'm pregnant and inevitably I'm not. So for example I've had cramps already, since 7dpo, I have white cm, I have headaches, irrational thoughts, acne. All of which are early pg symptoms but then also pms so there's just no point symptom spotting for me. Clearly progesterone is not my friend lol! It peaks at about 3 days before I'm due on and I go crazy 😝 and it kinda stays high until cd2 and I can feel myself going bk to normal from cd3 onwards.
Thanks for posting the link, kind of you 🙂
So we've been trying 9 months now and I've already tried to get blood tests done but my gp is making us wait until month 12 which is fair enough.
Did you take a while with your other pregnancies?

Moominmiss · 08/06/2020 12:54

@notyetamumbuttrying exactly, it’s about what works for each person. For me early testing I’d my way of feeling in control. I’m the opposite in that I want to know if I’ve had a chemical because I figure if I can get pregnant but my body can’t hold onto it, and it keeps happening then I will go to my doctor and be able to say I’ve had x amount of chemicals now, something isn’t normal.
But one of my friends is the opposite and won’t test until her again is officially late and would rather not know about potential chemicals etc. There’s no right or wrong.

I also try not to pay too much attention to symptoms. I did at first and then I’d come to realise the symptoms I was experiencing were just the increase in progesterone. So I don’t bother now.
The last pregnancy I had where I miscarried at 9 weeks, I was very nauseous from about 9/10dpo, and had ridiculously painful, hard heavy, breasts. So I think if I had either of those things again It might make me wonder though.

9 months Is the same as me! If by the time the duct is are open as normal again I’m still not pregnant I may try to see my doctor to run tests as they say you only need to have been trying for 6 months over ages 35, so I might do that as I’d like to know if it’s just down to egg quality having reduced due to my age, or whether there are any underlying issues.

With my children I fell pregnant each time within 3 cycles so much quicker. But I was obviously much younger then. 27, 29 and 32. So being 37 now is clearly causing problems.
I try to stay hopeful seeing as I did manage to fall pregnant again, but do worry my body is struggling now to hold on.

Also just realised I didn’t attach the link before 🙈

Here it is www.naturesbest.co.uk/co-q10/co-q10/ubiquinol-100mg/?src=gonato

@Moominmiss yeah I see your point. The other thing that puts me off early testing is when you get a bfn at say 12dpo but then you still convince yourself you could be pg but it's just too early. Then for me it feels like double disappointment when AF comes. That's my real reason for waiting for closer tbh. Weirdly it would be nice to know my body can get pg so maybe testing early would be better for me even if it did end in CP. just so hard to know what I'd prefer.

And re symptoms, if I notice any new ones I would log them and perhaps test early, but it's the same every month so far.

I can see why you're getting concerned now if the others were relatively quick. I hope everything's ok and it's just one of those things.

Thanks for the link ☺️

Blondiemum1980 · 08/06/2020 13:08

Hello everyone
7dpo for me (I think, might be 6dpo, FF app didn’t put it in so I’ve worked it out from CB peak) I have tested today & yesterday 🙈 today, I’ve had either vvvvvverrryyy faint line on a frer and IC or they’re both evaps. Came up in the time though so 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s too early really, although I’ve had the one sided pinching / pulling low down on the right for the past 24hrs. Bit of tiredness, tingly boobs on & off, slight nausea - the usual that’s either preggers related or progesterone related 😂 its the concentrated pinching that’s making me wonder, unless it’s a cyst? The next few days will tell... I definitely like to test early, I’d rather know if I’ve caught & lost it, the doc said that we can have some tests if it keeps happening & because of my age, I feel like I need to do something about it sooner rather than later, I’m also not the worlds most patient person 😂 even if I can’t do anything about it, I like to know what’s going on...

Blondiemum1980 · 08/06/2020 13:11

@Moominmiss I think I might get some ubiquinol for next cycle... how long does it take to improve the egg quality?

Moominmiss · 08/06/2020 13:16

@notyetamumbuttrying that’s definitely my draw back for testing early, as I can be 13 or even 14dpo, af due any day and I’ll test bfn and still try to convince myself I could have just implanted really late etc. And then as you say when af does show up it’s much harder kick in the gut.
But I know I have zero willpower, and I test so frequently now that sometimes I barely look at the test, it’s just be some part of my morning routine when using the bathroom, so I’ve become so blasé about doing tests now, and so used to seeing bfn’s that if I saw a bfp I’d never believe it 😂

It’s hard, if never encourage someone to start testing early as it obviously is still heartbreaking if you see a line, get all excited, only for af to still turn up. But for me I think if it happens too frequently I’d want to be able to go the doctors and have information with what’s been going on.

Fingers crossed though that it’ll happen for both of us really soon!

Moominmiss · 08/06/2020 13:23

@Blondiemum1980 that’s really positive to maybe be seeing a line albeit faint by now!! You need to let us know when you test again! Fingers crossed! For them to have both come up within the time frame is a great sign, and you’d have to be super unlucky to get evaps on 2 different tests!!

The pinching is also a good sign! Hope you can come back and update soon with your bfp!!

That’s good that your doctor is ready to start testing if needs be. I’ve not spoken to mine yet, but not sure if they’d be willing to help me with any tests seeing as I already have 3dc. Although none with my current partner, so don’t know if that counts. I can only ask and hope they’d help with testing.

As for the ubiquinol I think like most things, like folic acid and other supplements, it takes around 3 months to build a good amount up in your system and to really see a difference, but I figure I have to start somewhere. Just wish I’d read about it earlier and I would have started them months ago!

@Moominmiss everything is permanently crossed, all the time lol!
Ooh sounds promising though @Blondiemum1980!

MrsLully · 08/06/2020 13:35

Soo I did what we are not supposed to do and tested early. I'm 11 or 12 DPO and got this. What do you guys think? I'm going s bit crazy

Anyone want to join me...2dpo
notyetamumbuttrying · 08/06/2020 13:40

Yes a faint line is there @MrsLully!! Give it two more days and that will be clearer! Eek, u excited?!

BabyDust13 · 08/06/2020 13:47

Hey everyone I'm excited for you all to start testing I love seeing the tests.

I'm actually feeling a bit better today I really think not taking the pregnacare has helped as my cramps are 100% not as painful I've actually managed to stand and do the washing up without needing to sit down

9 was my lucky month so fingers crossed for you sending baby dust 🥰

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/06/2020 13:55

Good to hear @BabyDust13 and thanks for the luck. It's our month 9 so would love it if I get my bfp this week!

ElReyBaila · 08/06/2020 14:01

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm trying not to get excited to be honest! It's such a faint line that I don't know what to think. It does look pink in person but I would have thought that with s Frer at this point I'd get a stronger lime if I was actually pregnant...

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/06/2020 14:03

@ElReyBaila ooh you've changed your name, I got all confused for a minute then lol! Still early tho so every 48 hours it will get darker, esp once AF date is passed.

MrsLully · 08/06/2020 14:06

@notyetamumbuttrying that above is me, btw, Mumsnet did a thing with my name, I just realised.

Moominmiss · 08/06/2020 14:07

@MrsLully keeping my fingers crossed for you!! Looks promising. Really hope you see a darker line in a couple of days.

How amazing would it be if lots of us could get our bfp’s together this month!

OP posts:
MrsLully · 08/06/2020 14:09

@notyetamumbuttrying i used to use that one and changed it by mistake, I blame my phone!
Last month I'm pretty sure I had a chemical so trying not to get my hopes up. I tested again with a Boots early response and I got the same line that I got with the frer. No idea if that's good or bad Grin

Moominmiss · 08/06/2020 14:10

Just so you can all know how crazy I’ve gone with ttc stuff, so I was casually scrolling through Facebook earlier as you do, and saw this ad for earrings.......BUT what I saw first was the letters IC - internet cheapie 🙈😂

Literally ttc is never off my mind!

@Moominmiss I'm crossing my fingers (and my toes!) for that! I'll definitely keep you all updated if I test again soon. This is the Boots one, btw

@MrsLully I can see it

MrsLully · 08/06/2020 14:30

@BabyDust13 thank you all for letting me borrow your eyes! My toddler didn't know what was up with me this morning when I wouldn't let her play with the funny sticks Grin
