I never seem to quite fit into any of the existing posts so thought I’d create my own.

Feel free to join me.

I ‘think’ I’m due af around 17th May, but knowing me will start testing from around 11th onwards as I’m a total poas addict.

I say I think that’s when my af is due because in the past my cycles have been around 37 dats long. Ovulating around cd22.

But thus cycle I took soy isoflavones after researching about them, hearing they can bring ovulation forward, and amazingly I got my positive ovulation test on cd14! So if my luteal phase remains the same which I think it’s meant to, then I’d be due af 14 days after that (my luteal phase is 14 days long).

I’ve been known to test from 7dpo though so not holding out much hope of me staying strong 😂 that’s the trouble with having a ton of ic tests burning a hole in my drawer!

@BabyDust13 maybe because they dont look 'proper' tests I don't feel like I can trust a faint line on a piddly bit of stick. I'll get on amazon and see if I can get a FRER on prime so I can at least test with that on Sunday!

My period should be turning up today but I keep hoping it won't even though I got another bfn this morning

@blondiemum1980 because it was a "barely there" like and even DH struggled to see it (me and my best friend could) i decided to wait (the agony!!) as AF is due tomorrow and i'm never late so thought if nothing tomorrow will use my frer on sunday morning !

I caved and did a test earlier in the week, sadly BFN, but I was only 9DPO, so I’m holding out and waiting until Sunday to test again.
Not feeling lucky, but trying to remind myself that I’ve only just come off the pill and my body could take a while to get back into the swing of things.

@BattenburgBerry good luck I think a couple of others testing Sunday hopefully you'll all be lucky 🍀

I came of the pill in September and it only took 1 cycle to get back to normal so hopefully it won't take long

@BabyDust13 I had a positive OPK 2 weeks ago, which I was amazed at, so I’m thinking even if my period arrives this weekend it’s good news that my body is returning to its natural rhythm. Obvs, I would prefer a BFP but we’ll see. I had expected it would take a good few months to get back into my cycles but I’m surprised at how obsessed I’ve got already.

@BabyDust13 well done getting the cleaning done!
I also came off the pill in sept and took one cycle to get bk to normal. Remind me, is this your first time ttc?

@BattenburgBerry it can be all consuming i was ok the first few months and then I got totally obsessive

@notyetamumbuttrying so I finally got my bfp this week on cycle 9 TTC #1 I don't really know what changed this month apart from I spoke to the dr and had a blood test which came back fine and the doctor was very positive which I think helped me relax I had also started weightwatchers so my diet was a lot better

I’m 12dpo, still spotting on & off yesterday but only when I wipe. Will probably test in a bit (have saved my fmu in a little pot 😂) when OH is awake). I’m 99.9% certain it’s just a messed up cycle following last months loss, it’s just odd that it’s been going on since Wed and I’ve not started full flow yet. I’m due AF on Monday - but that’s based on the first full day of bleeding from last month so who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️
I’m already trying to figure out when I’ll ovulate next month & compare it to the diary to see if OH is working away & when he’ll be back - he’s not got much of a sex drive so timing is key 😂

@BabyDust13 yay so happy for you!! Cycle 9 seems to be the lucky one! (My friend also caught at 9 and after getting bloods done). AF is defo coming for me tomorrow so I'm onto cycle 9 after that, I really hope it's our cycle too! All the best with the pregnancy, you are now a may graduate!!

@Blondiemum1980 how do you manage with a husband with a low sex drive? Mines the same and I always wonder if that's why we've not been successful yet, cos we're not doing it enough? He drives me mad sometimes lol!

@notyetamumbuttrying it’s awful. At first I thought it was something to do with me but I’ve realised that it’s just the way he is. He gets very focused, be it with work or something else & then it completely goes off his radar. The best chance I have is on a Sunday usually, when he’s back from work on a Fri & caught up with work on the Sat then on the Sunday his mind might be more open to it. He works stupid hours in the Spring & Summer with a lot of travelling so I kind of get his tiredness! He’s also 53, so that might have something to do with it. I’ve mentioned low Testosterone but he’s point blank refused to get checked. He’s not fussed either way if we have a baby (I’ve got a 12yr & 7yr from previous marriage) but quite happy if it happens. I’ve been pregnant twice with him, both times from only dtd once in the cycle at the right time. Ive lost both pregnancies unfortunately. I’ve always been incredibly lucky to fall pregnant easily, I know how hard it is for some. My chances are slim atm, we rarely have sex, it’s a miracle if it’s around my fertile time too! I’m also 40, so acutely aware my time is running out. It may or may not happen.... how do you cope? Xx

@Blondiemum1980 sorry to hear about your losses.
I don't think mine has a good enough excuse really lol! He does get quite anxious and also stressed with work as he does long hours too, he also likes to cook so he tends to do that most nights as it de-stresses him but I feel like that just adds to him still doing things. I've offered to do it more but he insists he likes it so I just let him get on with it. He's 37 so he can't claim it's age. Conversely having short cycles work for us as my fertile window is pretty short so our window isn't that long. I'm straight into fw after my period and I ov day 10 but I'd like to try and do it everyday for 5 days, we managed 3 days last cycle and haven't had sex since! I know every other day is the standard way but as that hadn't worked I wanted to up it to everyday but we need to start sooner. I might show him SMEP and let him read it himself and see if that makes a difference as he does want a baby as neither of us have kids yet. We got married last August and wanting to upgrade to a house this year. A baby is our last missing piece.

So many testing this weekend , good luck everyone! I’ve had a rough week! My mums been in hosp getting a cyst removed and a full hysterectomy! That coupled with this shite home schooling , esp with a child with additional needs, and then the rollercoaster with a false positive and now bfn”s I am done in! I had a day or two away from here but I’m back! Lol! This forum passes the time well! Xxx
